We had been having some issues with our automatic garage door opener for a few months. It was sometimes opening about 1 foot and then stopping. Usually it would just open regularly again after a few tries. When it finally stopped working, we gave Mordi a call and he was able to come by about an hour later. He quickly diagnosed the problem and was able to replace the pulleys with larger wheels more suitable for our larger garage door and changed out one of the fraying cables. He also lubricated all of the door joints for us. The full job took about 30 minutes. The garage door has been opening fine since then! read more

I called this company to install a door and they promptly showed up for estimate and installation of door. a few weeks later the door stopped working and so did the company . the owner only shows up to collect the money and sub contracts the work to someone else . They wouldn't answer my calls or text the owner blames the sub contractor and the subcontractor said " the owner ask us to go to the new jobs first to collect the money and leave the customers that need repaits last ". I wouldn't recommend this company, unless you want to wait 2-3 weeks for repairs and lots of lies from the owner and subcontractor read more

Jonathan was very nice and helped fix my garage door. They came right on time and on a Sunday too, which was great since my door could not close at all. He was able to adjust the tension of my cables, replace a pulley, as well as fix my broken wiring so that I could use my automatic door function (had not been working for more than a year now). My garage motor was making a funny noise and was not lifting or closing the door. I called H & O because I used them once before for a change of rollers and I was very satisfied. So I told him my problem and he said he would call me back because he needed to check the schedule. Well, he called within the 30 minutes and said he could be there within an hour, which he was. Diagnosed it as needing a new motor which I thought might be a possibility since it was over 20 yrs. old . He did not have the motor on the truck but said he could get it. He gave me the options of the different horsepower and their prices. Once he secured the motor, which took about an hour, he came back and installed it. We hired H&O to replace four old, worn out, poorly insulated wooden garage doors, after reading their many good reviews on Angie's List. We received several estimates: one from another small local company, and also Sears and Home Depot. H&O's estimate was not the cheapest, but it was not the most expensive either, and they offered the best product in terms of R-value, warranty, and options. (Also, they were the only ones who offered black as a color option, which we wanted in the hopes of deterring graffiti.) After considering all the options, their proposal clearly seemed to be the best value. Mordi and Chuck were our technicians for both the estimate and the installation. They called ahead, came on time, and were friendly and professional. These are solid, dependable people--they did everything they said they would do, when they said they would do it. Seems like a nice, family-owned business. They told us what we would need to do to get the garage ready, and when we had questions about alternative products, they answered them readily but stood by their recommendations. I'm glad we trusted them. They warned us at the beginning that it would take four weeks for the doors to arrive (due to the black color choice), which it did, and not one day longer. When the doors arrived, they scheduled the installation for within a few days. The work was performed over two days, and we are delighted by the result. We now have four well-made, state of the art, expertly installed doors with power openers, and we can't wait to see how much $ we save in the winter when we're not leaking heat anymore. Mordi, the service repair man was very friendly and answered all our questions. I contacted H&O garage repair after my father in-law's garage door wouldn't close or open via remote control. Mordi quickly came over like he said between 2-3 pm. He check the censors and notice the wires weren't having a good contact with the censor. He basically stripped some of the wire and connected back into the censor. He even grease the rails and gave us some advice on how to maintain the garage. Mordi was kind to give us a free pen and planner. I would definitely recommend Mordi to anyone who needs garage service repair. read more

EXCELLENT service. He came on Sunday to do a tune up on the garage door. He completed that task with true professionalism. Unfortunately, a small metal piece connecting the door to the opener broke Monday afternoon (by the way, there was NO way to notice this when he did the work on Sunday). We made an appointment for Tuesday but, since he was in the neighborhood, he stopped by this afternoon and replaced the broken piece. He refused to accept compensation for this job. Excellent, prompt and courteous. What more can one say? I called around 9:30 this morning and was told that someone would be out to check the garage door that wouldn't close. A received a call that they were running late (how unusual is that!!) and the repairman arrived at 1 pm. At least one roller had snapped so all had to be replaced. After discussing the pros and cons of repair vs. new door (it was quite old), I opted for a new door. Amazingly, it was installed by 4 pm.
