I seeked out Duc to help with my taxes and regretted it. He was late for my appointment, rushed through my taxes, didn't give me time to ask questions. His secretary kept signal that his next client is waiting. Then Duc realized he didn't renew his NYS tax license . He told me to pay my fee and he will finish my tax and call me in a couple of days. A week later I called his office because I didn't hear from him. I asked to speak with him and to my surprise instead of asking for reasons for my call the receptionist asked whether I pay my fee! I was taken aback by this response. I told her I did and she said I should message him via HR block message site. Then another few days later I finally got a message from Duc telling me he just finished my tax and that I owe him $75 for working on it. Seriously? I paid my fee in full even though he didn't finish my tax due to his own fault and I have to pay for it? I asked for his manage's name And number. He gave me a first name but said he can't give me the number. Never will I go back to HR block. read more

We've been going this H&R Block for years. We used to see a particular tax specialist, but he left the office last year. We were scheduled to see Brad this time, and worst H&R experience ever. 1. The e tire time he was rushing through. I told him I wanted to send docs via email and he told me to uploaded to my H&R account. Immediately after he gave me the link info, he said, "did you upload them?" How do I upload 10 different docs in a minute???? 2. We presented a receipt from Best Buy because when we paid for recycling a monitor, they told us it's taxable. Immediately he saw, he laughed at us and said "why you bother showing this? " I told him we were told by Best Buy, so I'm showing this to you. He thought Best Buy paid fee (not sure what he meant), so it doesn't make sense. Once he understood we paid the recycling fee, he said, " oh you paid? " and he said but doesn't matter. I said to him, we are not tac experts so we are asking you questions. But he ignored. He didn't even bother asking any questions or listening to us. The entire time he was rushing g through the process so I don't have confidence he did it right. He was extremely rude and somehow he thought it's ok to look down us asking tax questions. What a jerk. We will never go back there again and don't recommend the particular office read more

I would never recommend the Bellevue office I went to. There maybe other H & R offices that treat woman with dignity and respect. The ee ( a male) was under the assumption that since I didn't appear to have an appendage, I must be dumb. He questioned my income amount. After a few choice words by me, I walked out. Downloaded the necessary software, and sent a request for an extension the the IRS. His behavior will kill the business at that location. read more

Sung is a Tax Genius!! After a different office messed up our return and cost us $5,000 in our return, Sung took on our case and filed a grievance with the IRS. The original office ignored us for 2 years and Sung got our $5,000 refund and charged us nothing as he honored the other office's "peace of mind" that we paid for! Zero stars. Do not schedule an appointment here. I scheduled online, got a confirmation text that the appointment was set, got all my documents organized, got and paid for a babysitter, drove a good distance and paid the bridge toll only to pull up and they are closed and locked. Horrible customer experience. Guess they need to update the hours posted too , my appointment was confirmed for 11am on Sunday. read more

Don't waste your time and money here. I came here for a simple jointed tax return. The tax preparer rushed (like really rushed) through the whole process. He made some mistakes and I had to correct him several times. For one who prided himself as an expert, it should not happen absolutely. All he cared is money and how much he could make from me. He denied his fault and then when it was proven, he just ignored it without admitting. Within 20mins sitting there, I witnessed 2 guys came in with IRS letters asking to get explained. I had an appointment with a tax consultant (Mr. DUK KIM) at this location. He started my appointment 30 min late. And then he took ~10 min to take print out of my documents. He was also getting irritated when i asked questions and was rushing since his next appointment was running late. When i said i have more questions and if you are busy now can I come back later, he got super angry and said please don't come to me and kicked me out. Very frustrating experience and total time waste on a Friday evening. In addition, i just found out that two people tried to access my files and deleted everything. This is unacceptable and breach of privacy. I have been using HR Block for more than 10 years and this has never happened to me. I would not recommend anyone to go to this location. I have had the most frustrating time doing my taxes and have come in the past few years and worked with Charles and Aaron. They made the process a lot less stressful and actually were rather helpful with teaching me about the process and what I can do to improve with some savings. The manager ( I think) is not the friendliest. He talked down to me as if I was in the wrong when there were some mistakes made in my returns. The location is in downtown Bellevue but isn't the most convenient from a parking standpoint. Also, the location needs a serious makeover as it feels super depressing when you are inside. Made a 8 am appointment on Tuesday. They called on Monday stating they wanted to change my "10am" appointment. I was confused because I know for certain I made the appointment BEFORE work hours. So I asked them to cancel it and that I would reschedule. So I went online and rescheduled for 8am on Thursday. Wednesday evening I check the website and I'll be damned if they didn't change the appointment time again, this time to noon! I showed up at 8 and they don't even open until 9 so why is their website offering 8 am appointments and WHY are they rescheduling without asking first? What a giant cluster fuck. Avoid at all costs. I'd give them zero stars if I had the option. First, our appointment was at 12, we had a confirmation email for the same. On reaching, the receptionist said our Tax specialist, hadn't shown up that day. Wow! We were given no intimation of the same. Second, We were asked to wait for the next available person which was at 1. Again, We were asked to wait some more and we couldnt get in, untill 1.50. Third, After wasting two hours, the tax specialist appointed didnt deal with our cases as promised, he rushed through and told us this is a favor he is doing us. Wow! My husband had confirmed what documents to get before coming over the phone and the tax specialist had a different story to tell, he said he doesnt know and he needed different documents. This is a clear case of miss management and misscommunication. They clearly dont value customer's time. Highly unprofessional behaviour and I hope they learn a lesson and improve their ways. I had a really good experience at this location. Pleasant staff and convenient hours and location. The parking could be better but it's understandable since they share with other retail shops. Marion Johnson was my tax specialist: She was very professional and helpful and took the time to explain some of the tax benefits I was missing. My tax reviewer was perfectly pleasant, and I appreciated his counsel and company. The ambiance could use a little renovation, though. I suppose that doesn't matter too much given that this establishment did help me receive the amount of tax back that I did - but still. If you're one of those anal types who needs everything to be spot on and perfect, you might want to go to a different establishment. I have never left anywhere crying but today (Tuesday February 1,2022) I went in to file for my taxes and everything was fine up until Duk Kim took a call from his wife and then his attitude changed. I asked him if he could get in touch with the IRS to get a W-2 I'm having issues getting from a previous employer. He raised his voice at me and I stood out of my chair and told him he will not speak to me like that he apologized and said he has rage and I said well that's not professional. I left his cubicle and talked to the front desk lady she agreed she heard him raised his voice at me and he came to the front asking if I came in to fight today and the front desk girl defended me thankfully because I'm pregnant and just too emotional to even handle any of that crap. I really wish I would of had my husband with me. The front desk girl gave me a number to call her boss so I can tell her what happened today. What happened was just absurd and very unprofessional. Front desk girl said he was having a day but I don't care. When you are working you need to pull it together and do your job. Incredible. I walked into this place in search of answers on how to fill out my W4. I didn't make an appointment or anything and was pretty much just looking to get some quick free info/help. I was greeted cordially by the lady at the front desk and helped by the senior tax advisor. He sat down with me and showed me my options and explained what the best option was for me to have my taxes withheld. Great place, super friendly and sincere people. read more

Just a terrible place. My tax guy didn't try to help me or understand my situation. He enerered my 3 forms and told me the options to pay my taxes. Charged me $150 for 17 minutes of work. I am sooooo disappointed with this office! I was supposed to have an appointment with Lisa Collins Dilley, but she called because she had to move me to someone else (Kevin or something). I specifically asked her if he were really good and she assured me "YES". So I went there and this guy was a total disaster: not only was he working under Charles username, but he had this superior attitude, tried to rip me off and didn't know squat of what he was doing. So, after 15 minutes or so, I got enough of his attitude and left. And that was such a good idea, since I found someone else who, not only did my taxes in less than an hour, but also saved me great bucks and managed to get me a tax refund higher than expected. read more
