I do my taxes on my own each year, but this year there was an extra step to one of my W2s that I didn't understand or have time to figure out. So I bring it to HR to finish it up and get it in before tax season finished. I was originally thinking they would charge $80 to file my taxes for me, because that's what the site says. I was then told by an employee it would only be $30. GREAT! I told him to finish up my taxes and let's get it sent in. Never heard back, I believe that was the point I was supposed to go in and sign it off but I never had since I was working. Next time I try to finish it off I'm told it's a $160 charge!?!?!?? I was never told I would be charged this at any point before then. I was charged for my proof of getting a stimulus (which is a letter, no input needed) and for my ACA (the charge for that was the same as what I was getting back for it, coincidentally). If I had not provided those required forms I would've been rejected by the IRS. Both forms were more simple then a regular W2. So it was really upsetting to never be told I was going to be charged for them at any point in the process, when I could've done it myself with a little advice. I do not recommend leaving your paperwork with them for simple refunds. Instead, go in for ADVICE for questions you have. Because now I'm barely getting half my refund. read more

Tragic. Clark first of all was unaware of the appointment we made online leaving him unprepared. He then argued with us the entire time about filing married or separate. After we urged him of our previous status he proceeded to shame us on doing things illegally. We then explained the law to him in which he refused to verify. We decided we didn't wish to deal with him any longer and asked to leave he said it was to late and that it was his duty to quickly submit things against our will or wishes to the irs right away. Needles to say we were furious but remained professional. We filed our taxes the first week of February and it is now the first week of June and we have yet to hear back from the irs or H&R Block with any reason or rational behind the delay. Just gives us the Waite longer screen when we input our personal info. Very frustrating especially in these trying times. DONT GO TO THIS LOCATION THEY ARE OUT OF TOUCH WITH REALITY read more

Before discovering Edward Jones, I had been using another firm, the fees were pretty reasonable but the challenge was there wasn't that personal touch. On the recommendation of a good friend I decided to give these folks a try even if I'm a couple of states away. The great thing about Edward Jones is the personal touch, if you've ever seen their commercials on TV that's really summarizes the relationship I feel I have with everyone at this office. Kind, warm, friendly, and they are always great in answering questions in terms I can easily understand. The other great thing I can say is I'm honestly terrible about checking in and they always call every so often but not too much to check in and see how things are, this is my downfall since it does take me a while to finally connect them. When it came to my portfolio (which isn't huge), they had recommended some changes to my account which would make things easier for me, and hopefully allow me to take advantages of market opportunities as they arose. Again here the fees are reasonable and I do feel like I have more of a personal relationship and they're readily accessible by phone or email if I have a question, which is a big plus since I'm out of state.

There was even a close out walk option that I didnt do with them because I saw their detail with things like basebords and cabinets when they were cleaning them. It was all pretty professional. The cleaning these two ladies did was probably one of the best or the best cleanings Ive seen and im retired military that has had move in cleans done on different countries.
