I asked her for an explanation and she said I had overpaid, which in fact wasn't true. Almost a year later, and I still don't have my refund. I have asked her monthly to contact the IRS as she's my legal representative and can get through. Every time she gives me another blow off reason why she can't get an answer. And we're talking about a lot of money. I finally went to another accountant and got an answer in a day! One day! And again the long delay was because of something Mimi had done and failed to tell me. When pressed about it, again, she said it was my fault. Mimi and her team couldn't care less about your business. Her work is sloppy and she's dishonest. I can't warn you strongly enough not to use her.

It is confident building when your accountant understands your situation and can make some $ saving suggestions. Isn't this what they all should do?!? Nope, they do not all do that. Some of the big firms we have since worked with make a meal out of simple things and do not have any proactive suggestions. I miss Mimi. We moved on when my new partner brought some global expertise needs, but i miss her and her firm. I refer to her as often as I can. Now that things are simpler again, i will be calling her. This agency doesn't seem to value small business, which makes me very disappointed as I went with them - a small business - hoping they would provide better customer service than the big players. I had historically been given a call if the credit card was past the expiration date. The curtesy call was a standard both with the old owner and the current owner. I did not receive a courtesy call and my Landlord policy was canceled. I was told by the Hartman agency that there was nothing they could do to reinstate my policy with Allstate. I have historically been very pleased with Allstate. I was able to reach out to a different Allstate local agency and not only were they able to reinstate my policy but were able to reduce the rates. the Hartman Agency proved to be lazy, rude and uninformed on reinstating the policy. Resulting in a 25 year customer walking away and taking not only the Landlord policy but a wealth of all my insurance policies elsewhere and still be in good hands with Allstate.
