I had an incredibly disappointing experience with this office. They claim to offer quick and easy tax preparation, but in reality, it's riddled with hidden fees and deceptive practices. They offer so-called "services" that add unnecessary charges, but they don't let you review any contracts before signing. They are nothing more than common thieves. One of their main selling points is the "fast refund" with no interest or application fees, but this is far from the truth. They require you to add an additional service to take their inflated fee out of your tax return, and then they charge you a $42 fee for doing so--without ever properly explaining it upfront. I made the mistake of allowing them to add this "service," only to be told I couldn't receive the fast refund due to an issue with my credit score, which is 792. I'm convinced they don't actually make good on "fast refunds" and it's simply a scam to steal money from unwitting customers. When I confronted the manager, she rudely explained that the loan provider (guaranteed by both the IRS and their own H&R Block guarantee) requires you to pay for their unnecessary service so they can get away with advertising a $0 fee and 0% interest. This is all part of a scheme to swindle customers into paying a $42 junk fee for absolutely nothing. This experience has been frustrating and a complete waste of time and money. Do yourself a favor and avoid this office at all costs. In addition, the tax filing fees are very expensive. For this year alone, the total was nearly $500 for one federal tax preparation. read more

From my previous H&R Block experience at a different location, I was a bit hesitant on filing my taxes here. My usual tax people cost an arm and a leg and never seem to get me back enough money. My bf came to this location last week and had a good experience, so he told me to just get it done there. I walked in with no appointment, so the receptionist said it was about a 20 minute wait. No problem, I expected it. What was annoying was that the receptionist was a little rude and assumed that this Mexican guy who walked in after me was my husband. Um, just because we were both brown doesn't mean we are together, racist!! Anyway, I just hoped that my tax preparer would have a better attitude. Loretta was awesome!! She was really easy to talk to. We chatted a little bit about her grand kids and about my bf. It wasn't all about business, which made the experience more personal. She asked me questions to make sure she could get me the maximum refund. After all if it was done, she got me back $1200!!!! I told her my refunds haven't been that high since I was still in college. She told me to bring back last years return and she would double check it to see if she could get me more money. I told her I would be back for sure. Overall, my whole perspective of H&R Block has changed. I appreciate Loretta and the fact that she actually cared about me. I will definitely be back to see her next year! read more

Been working with a "tax expert" MICHELLE MILLER for the past almost 2 months, after serval times of me expressing I wasn't understanding what was needed for my business she began to belittle me for not understanding and when I told her to be respectful & that this is my first year filing taxes for my business & I'm just not understanding she tells me "go somewhere else to file your taxes" and hangs up on me...... WTF SHE KEPT SAYING ONE LAST THING WAS NEEDED AND TURNING AROUND AND ASKING FOR SOMETHING ELSE. she's unprofessional, and a b!tch. We have used H&R Block for many years. In 2018, we took all our information in to file our 2017 taxes. The Senior Tax Consultant, Jennifer Fazano was our consultant. She forgot to include my social security income! A year later, we get a bill for 6,000$ from the IRS which was the amount we owed PLUS a penalty. Since we had paid for the "Peace of Mind" (if they make a mistake, they pay) so we took the return into H&R Block, who, in turn, sent it to their Adjusters. They insisted they didn't do anything wrong. I am LIVID!! Peace of Mind? BULLSHIT! I went through the SS statements that we had given them, and it was there, just not added. This year I am doing my own taxes through TurboTax. I will NEVER use nor recommend H&R Block to anyone. read more

I have been going here for years and very happy with our tax preparer Sharan. She moved on to a different company. I think they charge too much and nickel and dime you for every form. My small business return took literally 20 minutes to do and they charged a whopping 630 dollars. There prices are out of whack. My son, they charged 160 dollars and my daughter they charged 80. Same exact forms. Probably won't be going back. read more

HR block gives the option of being able to put money towards amazon and you get a promo of like 2 or 4 % in addition to what you put towards your account with amazon. No appointment walked in got sat down with Veronika within 5 minutes. She did a great job she ended up getting me back about $1,000 and finding the answers to all my questions. When the bill was higher than I expected she was able to offer me a coupon which significantly lowered the total. It was a great experience for something that was unplanned. read more

I Made a appointment to do my taxes ,the waiting area was very busy .When we sat down with the guy he seem like he was in a hurry to get it done he didn't really ask a lot of questions just kind of pushed a lot of buttons found out later that he didn't even ask some important questions about insurance found out later I had to re-file because of his mistake cost me another hundred dollars on top of that he was very rude I would never use him again . read more

Like many of us, I have been waiting for my 3rd stimulus check. I did my taxes back in February, so no worries on time. It is now April 12th, and I just found out as of yesterday that the reason why I never recieved my 3rd stimulus check was because Scott Kjar put in my address wrong. When I called to tell H&R block about this mistake that has put in me in a horrible predicament, they didn't care. And to add insult to injury, he even called me back and didn't even apologize for HIS MISTAKE!!!! Take accountability at least!!! The assistant manager told me different times that this person would call me back, and they didn't. I had to make sure that this agent even considered calling me back. Very rude.
