After speaking with Daniel, we can see why he and so many others have stayed with him. For this review, I will get straight to the point. Daniel could quite impressively foresee the questions we had before we even asked them and providing valuable feedback to us pertinent to our specific tax situation. Note, this is the kind of professional you want working with you. Not an accountant and/or tax preparer that waits for you to ask questions or guide the conversation in such a way that someone who is NOT a tax professional simply has the inability to. In other words, your accountant and/or tax preparer should not expect you to know certain substantial tax/accounting matters if you are not professionally involved or work in the field yourself. We also like El Reyes Xpress because they offer services such as acting as our registered corporate agent, which not all tax/accounting services offer. This would help those who would like to opt for a "One-Stop Shop" more likely with El Reyes Xpress. Daniel was very professional, an active listener, well knowledgeable in the field, up-to-date with current accounting guideline principles (which not every tax/accounting service is), very up front with his service fees (& he explains them well without being asked), and overall, we feel very comfortable working with him more in the future.

Before I tried this business, I tried doing it on my own with web-based software and it was a pretty stressful experience. I'll never do that again. This business is conveniently located in Bixby Knolls with parking available on the street or in back. For me, it takes about 15 minutes to present my information and there's rarely a wait. I call ahead and always ask when they are slow and today I stopped in early with no wait. I don't usually recommend a business unless I've been going for a while and trust their service. Plus I really like that their prices are reasonable.

We've been going to Sophia for 4 years now. We are San Diego residents and every tax season we take…read morea trip up to Long Beach to get our taxes done. My Husband normally has to owe every year but Sophia always finds a way to have my Husband get at least something back or to owe a lesser amount. She does get very busy and to catch her on the phone is kind of a hit or miss but it's all part of the game! It's tax season people and you know Sophia is in high demand so don't get pushy. She works long hours and eats her lunch as she works. She does charge a lot for the long-form but normally for a good reason. You do have to wait a considerable amount of time but we come in knowing that. She does give very sound advice to even the most complicated questions. She's pretty great. She can come off a little frank or even moody but I think I would be too if I worked just as much as she does. She's only human!
