I reached out by email and phone--several times--the weeks before and following April 15, with no response or even confirmation of receipt of my communications. At that point, we had no confirmation that our tax documents were actually in their queue or that an extension had definitely been filed on our behalf. Frankford responded (via email) many days later and, while they acknowledged that this was a difficult year for them, they provided little to no proactive explanation of our taxes, nor did they review any of the returns with us. A week ago, we received a letter from the IRS that our taxes had been filed incorrectly. We understand that accountants make errors, however, despite reaching out to Frankford about the error, we have yet to hear back to understand what happened. It seems their lack of communication is not limited to the weeks around tax filing deadline. We will be looking for another tax professional next year, and would encourage others to approach Frankford with caution.
