We had been to another flooring company in the past, but this time we went to Wylie's Floor Coverings. We are so happy that we gave Wylie's a try! The salesmen in the showroom were very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all of our questions about the types of flooring we were considering without being pushy. We made an appointment for someone to come out and measure the old floors. Then, we met Gene, who was very knowledgeable and friendly. He arrived on time to measure the rooms, and do a humidity test on the subfloor of the house. He explained the process, the timeline and he also gave us the estimate. We paid 50% of the total cost up front with the remainder to be paid when the job was done. Wylie's floor installers, Mike and David completed the job on time and they did an outstanding job! Our new floors are gorgeous! We are so happy with the beautiful job Wylie's Floor Coverings did for us! By the time I was able to start my updates, Josh wasn't available. Josh texted & highly recommended Bobby Reeder. This act demonstrated valorous leadership capabilities in my world. Neither gentleman knew me from Eve ; ) . Josh didn't have to do this at all. Received a text, as Bobby was introduced by Josh. Both of these young men have proven that they know what they're doing. They do it without any drama in excuses. No return fixes were necessary. I may be mistaken as my CRS is sneaking it's way into my evening, over a month has lapsed...magnificent effort in carpentry skills & diligence by both have certainly exceeded my expectations. When you meet Bobby, please try not to allow yourself to judge his stature. Bobby is stronger than he appears. He carried a patio door by himself and installed it with more professionalism than I've experienced in a custom home builder. I'm impressed with Josh. I'm more impressed with Bobby in how well he installed a front door & patio door...including picking both items up at two different retail merchants (Menards/Lowe's). I was happy with first visit…read more Then two weeks later I tried scheduling a 2nd visit and they abruptly stop texting with me when tried to confirm they cost they quoted me for that was the same. Then a few days later they abruptly contacted me as if they'd not stopped nor there was any delay. They agreed to the previously quoted cost. I figured I'd give them a chance and scheduled a day late in the afternoon per their request. I had to take time off work to be at home that day. I texted them when I got home and they said ok. Just over an hour later they did not want to come out at all and wanted to schedule me for the next day. I told them no, I had to make up time at work and I was busy that weekend. They never contacted me back.

When he came out to do the job, he decided he didn't want to do it after all as it was too difficult, then claimed hardship and refused to return the money. I tried to be patient, but now 4 months later he has stopped responding. I get it that times are tough and tried to be patient, but now I'm out the $290 and still have to pay the other contractor who is actually getting the job done. At this point, I'm willing to forgive the $290, but I'm posting this so that everyone else will know to be careful.

When I contacted Walnut Builders through the BBB, the company was super quick to respond to my inquiry. That alone made the company a refreshing contractor to work with. Then, they scheduled my work in my home within two weeks, maybe faster. First, they fixed the mistakes of two previous contractors. Then, they not only handled my list of things to do, they even found some problems in my electric system that could have been very dangerous - and they fixed it. They took care of everything that I needed quickly and efficiently. All their work is of high quality. Daniel and his team were courteous and friendly and respectful of my home. They are super clean about all their work and clean up all their work messes (I think they even cleaned up some of my messes).
