Never again! These guys are absolute CROOKS!! I'm having a REAL MECHANIC working on my boat as I leave this review and have them documenting with pictures the repairs I will be contacting H&W and asking for my almost $500 plus back and will be speaking to my local representative in regards to charging customers and not doing the work. Extremely Disappointed - Unprofessional and Poor Service Terrible customer service. Kirk's treatment of my daughter and son-in-law has been nothing short of unacceptable. They were without their boat for five weeks with no resolution, and we ultimately had to retrieve it ourselves. We are now taking it to Pro Drive for proper service. The lack of communication and professionalism throughout the entire experience is deeply concerning. This business leaves much to be desired. I bought my first boat from Kirk at H&W Marine and it was an awesome experience. He very patiently answered all my questions, sent photos, and worked with my schedule so we could arrange for a time to pick up the boat between truck maintenance work that needed to be done before a 5 hour drive (I drove from Austin) and the crazy Texas Winter Storm we got. Once I got there to pick up said boat, the process was easy and took all of 10 minutes, and then Kirk showed me around the boat and gave me a demo of how it all worked. Then, he and another gentleman took care to wrap my boat with the shipping cover and helped guide me into a gas station next door for easy gas fillup before getting back on the road. He even helped me get the boat hooked up, AND he warned me that there must have been a busted fuse from my truck to the trailer (thank you, because had he not taken the time to make sure everything was good to go I wouldn't have realized immediately that the trailer wouldn't move in reverse), which, he was right! Called the truck shop, they said no way. Called a trailer shop, figured it was a mismatch of connections. Nope, busted fuse just like he said. And to top it all off, it was really nice working with Kirk. I would definitely buy from here, and from him, again! read more

I took my Yamaha wave runner in for service. It had a problem running and the check engine light had come on a week or two before. I also needed the regularly scheduled maintenance and a latch was broken on the back. When I dropped it off, they said it would be two to three weeks before they could let me know something. This seemed like a pretty long time but they were the authorized Yamaha dealer in the area so I felt like I was going to have to deal with it. I called at the three week mark. They said "Hadn't gotten to it yet but yours is next in line." I called a couple days later and they said, "Yeah, we've got it in the shop but we can't find anything wrong with it." I said, "Okay, what do I do?" They said we'll call you tomorrow. Tomorrow came and went. And the next day. And the next day. A total of six weeks had gone by. I never got a call. Never got an update. Not so much as a kiss my ass. I called and told them I was coming to pick it up (ready or not). At the six week mark. lo and behold, it was ready. I went and picked it up. The bill was $320. I've been involved with dealerships and service departments. The old school philosophy is that service departments are a necessary evil. They only have them because the manufacturer requires them. I haven't seen that philosophy in a while. H & W brought it all back to me. This place just flat doesn't give a shit about service. When I bought my wave runner I had a similar experience with this place. They told me if I could find one someplace else, buy it. It's not just service, it's front to back and top to bottom. So as far as I can tell, these folks either have all the business they can handle or they just flat don't care! After a $320 six week oil change. I'm betting on the latter. If you don't care how long it takes to get your boat repaired, take it to these guys. Our boat went in for 3 minor repairs. They told us they were about 1.5 weeks behind and would get to it. SEVEN weeks later out boat is still not ready and no one will return out calls. We get the run around every time we call the service department. They say they will call back but never do. Two weeks ago they told us it was ready and they just needed to test it in the water. Today they say they haven't tested it still but are waiting on a part. Yet 2 weeks ago it was ready but just needed a water test. Shady. read more
