There is nothing I hate quite like a mechanic that I feel is trying to pull one over on me. This shop was supposed to weld my exhaust. I went in with a break at the catalytic converter. I got the call to pick my car up as they were closing. And get home to realize that they did not weld it like he and I agreed to. Why would I come back for you to do more work after not doing what we agreed to the first time? Had they taken it apart and realized that it was too rusty and unable to be welded and needed more of the exhaust replaced then we previously thought, the thing to do would be to CALL and ask where I want to go from there. Instead they put some cheap clamps on there and took my money and the catalytic converter that was cut off. The reasoning for NOT welding it as he agreed is that "It would rust". I have a 50 year old van with a fully custom welded dual exhaust. So that sounds completely ridiculous to me. I won't be going back for the repair of A/C problem as we previously talked about, because I don't feel like I can trust these people. This is not the way things should be handled. read more
