I had a rather difficult job that I did not want to do myself. It involved a very small attic space above the garage that was not insulated when the house was built. Because we had electrical conduit installed in the attic space for our photovoltaic panels and battery back up, we wanted to have it as cool as possible. I called Harry Oneha, owner of HDrywall to ask if he would be able to do the installation. He came out the day I called and gave me a very reasonable quote. He then installed the insulation within a couple of weeks. The installers were meticulous, covering the floors and walls with plastic. They used planks to ensure no damage to the ceilings of the garage. The height of the attic space went from less than 3 feet at the peak of the attic to zero where the rafters came down the ceiling joists. Despite that, they were able to get insulation into the rafters in all areas. Better yet, even though the attic was a very hot and confined space, the installers did not complain at all... they were actually very pleasant and happy. When they finished in the attic, they cleaned the garage completely and left "not a trace of debris". Generally, when I have a job done, I need to hire another company to fix and clean up after them... but not with Harry's crew! They were amazing. I am a rather OCD person, and if workers can get a good rating from me, that means a WHOLE lot! KUDOS and sincere thanks to HDrywall. I'd have them back to do work for me in a heartbeat! read more

Our 40 year old deck was badly weathered, with rotted wood and eroded support posts. Steps to the deck, located on the side of a hill, were termite eaten and rotted. H Drywall replaced rotted wood and restructured the supports. They also installed new wood floor on the deck, rebuilt the steps and repainted the whole deck and stairs with top quality primer and topcoat. Their work was top-notch! The carpentry was careful and done well, involving us in every decision. Talking to the carpenter was easy, and he was very knowledgeable and skilled. So also with the painter. Harry to the rescue again. I had to have the entire shower stall torn out in one of my bathrooms due to old pipes leaking. The drywall behind the toilet had to be removed as well. after all the demo, plumbing and retiling work was done there was still the approximately 36x36" hole in the wall. Harry came over to see what needed doing and then had Stuart (sp), I think that was his name, do the work. Names are not my strong suit. Well done. Good job cleaning up afterward. Harry and his team were the BEST investment we made for our home renovation! For scope, we were basically redoing all the walls and ceilings of an old home, 2000 sq ft ceiling work + way more than that for the walls. Also some weird stuff like wrapping wooden beams and posts in the house. We worked with a bunch of other people for our home renovation project (electrician, plumber, main contractor, etc), but Harry was by far the most professional, detail-oriented, and honest guy to work with. Communication - From the start, Harry was very prompt and excellent with communication, which is HUGE when you are working with a million different people and trying to figure out what's what. He scheduled a walk through within 1-2 days of our initial call (which was mostly limited due to our schedule). He gave us a quote within a week. We had a lot of questions along the way, and he was always very prompt to respond either via e-mail or text. Quality of work - I'm not a drywall expert, but our contractor was very impressed with the work they did! And our contractor is hard to impress. His team worked very efficiently, and cleaned up really well after they were done; they left it better than they found it! Also important was he always gave us his honest opinion about what was necessary or not (how smooth the ceiling vs. walls have to be). Never felt like he was trying to upsell us or anything. Bonus - We also got into a bad situation with one of our other contractor/vendors. We ended up mentioning it to Harry because basically the other vendor threatened to stop working for us, which would have impacted Harry's timeline for drywall. He is such a good guy, he kind of coached us through it and offered suggestions for how we could resolve it. Gosh darn it Harry, you are such a good man, and an even better business owner. This review is long overdue for H Drywall. This was the second time using them. I had an issue with water leaking onto a lower unit's ceiling due to my tenant running the a/c. The a/c water seeped through the balcony and traveled onto the lower unit's ceiling. This caused staining and other obvious issues. I searched and search for someone to fix the issue. Only a few people returned my call, Harry (owner) being one of them. Out of everyone that did return my call, Harry was the only one that made me feel confident in their ability to do the job. Everyone else made me feel rushed or gave me an insane high-dollar quote. Again, Harry was easy to work with, and the quote provided was VERY reasonable. Let me stress that again, it was very reasonable. I decided to go with H Drywall. Harry asked for all the pertinent information needed to go to the tenant's unit and make the necessary repair. He and his team were on time, did the job properly, and were true professionals. The tenant and the owner were pleased with the work and even commented on how Harry and his team were so professional and that the quality of the repair was top-notch. I was happy because the tenant and the owner were happy. Rewind to a week ago, the same thing happened with my tenant's a/c water causing the same issue. It was brought to my attention and I told the tenant and the owner I would fix it, they were pleased to hear that I would be using H Drywall again. A couple of months ago, I had the canec ceiling of my old family home removed and replaced with drywall. I decided to also have the interior of the house painted by the company, since the house had to be emptied anyway. I was able to stay in my bedroom, an extension to the house during the time the work was done. Harry made sure the workers accommodated my wishes to have the bathroom available to me in the evenings. Drywall is an incredibly messy. I soon realized why Harry told me I had to rent a POD to store my furniture and the belonging that I couldn't fit in my bedroom and my basement. That drywall dust gets into everything, even though they did their best to seal up the cabinets and the appliances. We needed some drywall work done and H Drywall was one of three companies I contacted for estimates. They were the middle bidder, but I was so impressed with Harry's (the"H" in H Drywall) on-site visit and his comprehensive proposal that I decided to go with them. I was not disappointed because Harry keeps on top of things and is quick to reply to messages. A bonus was their online payment system which is really convenient and provided instant confirmation of a payment. What truly makes this company worthy of a 5-star rating though are its employees. John, the foreman, is easy to talk to and has so much experience in construction that he solved any problems or challenges that occurred. He always kept us informed of their progress and made sure we were happy with the work they were doing. The rest of the crew Stuart, Derek, Chris, and Evan were all friendly, courteous (always aware that we still lived in the home), and did excellent work. Drywall replacement is messy, but these guys covered everything including the floors and they vacuumed daily. The drywall removal uncovered some additional work that needed to be done and H Drywall provided a reasonable estimate to fix the problem. What a great company. They did a fantastic job. Harry and his crew really care about the work they do. All his workers are very talented at what they do, show up on time and do a great job. Harry came out right away and gave us a quote. We had his company fix two large two story inside walls where the drywall needed major repairs. They also fixed a bathroom bedroom walls and a large ceiling that had the popcorn already removed but needed to be coated and painted. Some of the drywall needed to be cut out and replaced. After mud and new texture the walls were primed and painted. They are so careful to prep and cover the floors and to use drop cloths and plastic to keep the areas they are not working on clean. I was referred to Harry when I needed to get my apartment fixed a few months back for drywall damage. Harry was a pleasure to work with. Professional but took the time to explain everything to me. We also walked my entire apartment and asked if he could do a few other things, put new baseboard in the hallway, filled some gaps in my kitchen counter area, and patched a small damage in my bathroom vanity. (which he did them all) There were issues with one of the walls in my apartment and bubbling occurred with the next 1-2 days of painting. Harry had one of his workers fix the bubble but the work was not done properly. After reaching out to Harry, I addressed my concern and he said he would fix the issue himself and even took pictures of the fix. No bubble after that and work was complete in only a couple days. Sure is a person that's FLOODED with work as he did stop by one day after about a month then said he'd get back with me, and all the deceptions, or what seemed like, had no reason to tell me of being dependent on his possible solutions, as he always said "God bless" not sure about that. Because of him, as I always looked at him being the answer to my problem of water always collecting on the side of my home, not being declined or inclined referring to gravity, and being that I was counting on him, still not remedied, but maybe if I was on time the day I was to meet him, then he may have had it done by his subs or....
