My son's room had some mold issues related to Air Conditioning, so I hired a remediation company for the tear down and mold removal. They offered to rebuild the wall, but after seeing their price to finish the wall ($3800+!), I decided to look elsewhere. I requested a quote from a different company, but as Yelp sends requests to other companies, Ahsing's Construction actually responded first. I had several quotes and Andy, the owner, gave me the best quote. Andy was prompt and responsive with his communication. We added some modifications to the original scope of work (eg. I decided on doing an accent wall about 2 days before completion) which changed the labor price. Andy charged me for the items at cost without markup, which was a bonus. In the end, the price was very reasonable (much less than $3800), and the job was well done! I would hire Ahsing's Construction again! read more

I needed to have grab bars installed and the shower head replaced for my dad who was returning home from the hospital for hospice care for terminal pancreatic cancer. Andy and his team were terrific. They showed up on time and prepared They were mindful about were the bars were installed so as not to disrupt the plumbing. Home Depot showed some grab bar sizes in stock that I needed so I ordered them. I believe I ordered two of one size and then when Andy went to pick them up, they told him they were not in stock. After the job, he said since he was going back that way, he would stop in and look at the shelves himself because he also looked at the app and it said more of the size I needed were in stock. He found the item and picked it up for me! This worked out well because I moved my dad to a larger room in the apartment so we needed to install more bars and to change out a closet door. I ordered more grab bars which Andy picked up and he also brought the bar he was able to find for me and I reimbursed him for this. Andy and his team were polite and went the extra mile. I got everything done, everything was secure, and no mess was left afterwards. Additionally, Andy was very empathetic to the fact that my father was dying of cancer. The cancer was affecting my dad's mind too... The second time they came, my father came out in a shirt and just his diaper and no one flinched or reacted in a way to make me or my dad feel bad. It's really hard to go through something like that and it's even harder to be letting people into your home while it's happening. I not only struggled to get dad home because of issues with power of attorney and with the geriatric doctor trying to keep him at this hospital... but getting hospice care and home care in place was extremely hectic. Dad died just three weeks after the first install... a few days after the second. I'm very grateful to have had Ahsing's Construction to help Dad and me during his last weeks and days. read more

Ahsing's Construction is truly top notch. We are so thankful we found them, because their work is not only incredible, but they always finish their jobs on time and with integrity. The owner Andy is so communicative, accommodating and kind. It is hard to find a trustworthy contractor these days, but we can attest that Ahsing's construction is very trustworthy. I have attached photos of our updated bathroom that they helped us renovate. Our house was terrible, a 1970's totally trashed house. Our house is now a home because of them! They helped us remove popcorn ceiling, repaint and smooth out everything with drywall, etc. They also installed flooring and created some beautiful arches throughout my home. Great carpenter, with skills in other trades like tile, flooring, paint, etc. I HIGHLY recommend!!!! We shopped around for about a year getting quotes to remodel our 2 bathrooms and the prices were out of our budget. Andy, the owner, came by our home to do an estimate and pricing was incomparable. He was extremely easy to work with and we had several changes of specs or modifications that we requested. Both Andy and AJ were phenomenal and their overall quality of their workmanship second to none. There are so many companies out there gouging customers but not Ahsing's Construction. They provide fair pricing with great quality. The other thing we appreciated is that they would always clean up after themselves in our home throughout the duration of the project. Andy & his team at Ahsing's construction were excellent!! Our family wanted to enclose our front porch to make an extension off our living room. We had another local contractor (whom we saw on a TV commercial and a friend recommended them) come out to give us an estimate only for them to back out, for a ridiculous reason, after leading us to believe they would do the job. Andy was quick to respond to our inquiry, came to our property in a few days and gave us estimates & start dates in a timely manner. The project was completed quicker than we expected, without compromising quality and paying attention to detail. We are very pleased with the quality work done on our home. Asked them to build an 8x10 storage shed that I had laying around my house for YEARS. When I say laying around, I mean the walls were in one spot, the floor panels another, the boxes had long since disintegrated. I even had to reorder the hardware from the manufacturer because I lost it somewhere along the way. I didn't even have the instruction manual because the last guy I paid to build it (a family friend/friend no longer) took it to compile a materials list to build the base (supposedly), then I never heard from him again. ANYHOO, I digress...the shed material was so old, walls and roof were slightly warped, a floor panel was chipped, it was a mess, but I still had hope! I sent a request for a quote to Ah Sing's Construction one evening and Andrew Ah Sing responded within hours. He came to my house within a couple of days to size up the project and gave me a quote. The first quote wasn't within my budget, so Andrew quickly made some adjustments and sent me a new quote that worked better (wood base instead of concrete) He picked up the materials to build the base and brought it with him on build day. Andrew and his brother showed up at my house 7AM on a Sunday and immediately got to work. He looked up the instruction manual online and by 2 PM, they were done! Let me tell you, they did some kind of construction wizardry, because with only rag tag pieces and bits all around, they somehow managed to build a sturdy, storybook, beautiful, perfect storage shed! Not once did they complain or make me feel ashamed for the condition of the parts, Andrew just looked at it all and said "We'll make it work." Throughout the entire process I found Ah Sing's Construction to be professional, kind, helpful, speedy, respectful, trustworthy, and dependable. I plan on using them again in the new year and cannot recommend them highly enough for any of your construction needs. Andy is the nicest guy you will ever meet. He came and assessed my dry wall repair and came up with a solution for us that was much more cost effective. He tried to do it for free but we insisted on paying him for his time and work.
