HEB needs to upgrade this location, but I do go when I need something quick!! Aisles need to be wider! I love HEB.

Doesn't even feel like a real HEB they just sell HEB products. I prefer the huge HEB stores; Very small store in comparison.

My group was in town for a conference and we needed deli trays to feed the kids. We went the morning of the event at about 9am and requested them to be ready by 1045. They told us they would try their best. However,they called us like at 950 to let us know they were ready! I appreciate the staff working with us! Additionally, the admin staff was great by letting us obtain some gift cards they had donated to our group. read more

Seriously? Why rate something when you have no other choice but to go there? I really have no complaints but Wish we had more than HEB and Walmart in this part of Texas. I go every chance I get to Trader Joe's (yes, San Anton or Austin) just for the variety. Love Whole Foods as well, but too expensive and too far to shop there regularly. : ( read more

Little HEB! Works perfectly for a quick, easy grocery stop. The selection is surprisingly good for its size. If you need something specific you can easily go to the big HEB, but this one is small enough that you don't have to go on long trek to get around the store. read more

What a disappointment this store was. The customer service lady was VERY rude. Terrible experience, never going back. Don't go here to buy your groceries, try a different HEB with better staff and management. read more

Known to locals as "the small HEB", this location is much smaller than its counterpart closer to I-35. If the bigger HEB tends to set off my claustrophobia during peak hours, then I absolutely can't even walk in the door of this place during those times. It is much smaller than the other location and the aisles are narrower, meaning that you get that much more intimately acquainted with the other people shopping there with you. The selection at this location is also more limited than the bigger store, but they do cram in an impressive amount of items. The one section of the store that does not suffer from a more limited selection is the booze section, much to the glee of the Texas State Students living on campus just two blocks away. This location lacks a deli and self-check stations and their produce selection is much smaller than the other location. There's also no health food aisle or bulk section. Overall, this location maintains its business because of its proximity to campus and the San Martians living farther away from I-35. Otherwise, I think the other location might drive this one out of business. If given the choice between the two, I'd definitely opt for the bigger HEB. read more

always been to this location multiple times throughout my college years. always the best go to nice lil HEB for essential staples. staff was always friendly at welcoming guests w/ a smile & service was never an issue...until today. I greeted the cashier Ms Lela H with a "good morning & how are you" & was going to ask her a question before she interrupted me & commanded me to adhere to HEB's policy by standing at a certain spot. i applaud HEB for following policy & maintaining the safety of the entire community. but there's a fine line between being rude and asking someone politely to follow the implemented guidelines. i thought "ok nothing to it" i unloaded my basket & Ms Lela H continued to have a conversation with the cashier in front of her & ignored me & not even a few seconds later, she asked "are you done unloading your basket yet?" . surprised by her response. i just stayed quiet & was ready to leave. i could've understand if there was a huge volume of customers in the store. but it was 9am on a Saturday & i was the only one in her lane. couldn't wait to leave. sorry example of HEB service. too early for this nonsense. i hope whatever was bothering Ms Lela H it gets fixed. probably have to find another HEB to call my favorite. read more
