After looking at some reviews, I do agree, majority of the clothes are leaning more towards the younger audience, but it makes sense because it is located in a college town. The clothes I see in Dallas are more diverse, but leaning more towards the mature side. So, the clothes they have do depend on the location of the Uptown. For this particular location, I think they're pretty good on having clothes that are trendy and up-to-date for college students. The most recent visit I had was very pleasant. They were doing an event for an anniversary and I was welcomed with a coupon at the door which was nice! I ended up a few things including a pair of Aerie Crossover Flowy Shorts for such an amazing price that I couldn't even find looking through Depop and Poshmark. After checking out, I was given a swag bag that had some cute pieces in there and I left with a cookie lol. I love and miss San Marcos so much! This place is also one of the reasons why I enjoy coming back. I remember thrifting in SanMo wasn't always the best specifically for me, but I think this place is guaranteed to have the items you're looking for. Of course, Uptown will cost more than a thrift store, but I don't mind that because it makes it more efficient for me to find items in excellent condition.

I never had trouble finding parking, and always find a few good deals when I visit. Most recently, I found a couple of hand tools in a tool outlet store, some calendars and toys, and my spouse found great deals on sweaters and jeans in the Old Navy outlet. It happened to be New Year's Eve, so the whole place closed early (6 p.m.!) and we didn't get a chance to visit every store, but next time we go will be on a better shopping day.

Then I decided to give them another chance. Mistake number 2 on my part. They had my pillow done on time this time, only spelled wrong! I spelled it out for them multiple times and wrote it down in two places and they had proof of that even after they screwed up. The font was also so tiny and not what I agreed to. So overpriced and when they messed up, the owner said she didn't care that I missed pillow/paddle swap and that it wasn't her fault. She didn't refund anything or help me at all. The worst customer service. Never going back and don't recommend anyone else come here! They just want your money and rush through the orders without attention to detail. Not to mention they're much more expensive than other places. I paid $40 for them to just embroider on my pillowcase and then spell it wrong but it "wasn't their fault." The purse that drew me in was a small clutch, bright, unique, and unlike anything else I'd seen. I was curious what something like that would cost, so we went in to check it out. We were greeted right away and the staff was incredibly friendly without being pushy. When I checked the price, I was shocked to learn it was originally $340... BUT it was on sale for 80% off, bringing it down to just $68. It truly felt like it was meant to be and I wasn't even in the market for a purse! To top it off, the experience felt special. The purse came with a white linen dust bag, and the team wrapped it beautifully before placing it inside with tissue paper. Love the purse, loved the experience, and I'll definitely be back to check out more items. Such a fun surprise stop!

The ladies treated me like I was trash. After I checked out my friend was checking out and the ladies were talking about her appearance in front of me. I asked them why they were talking about my friend like that, and I rudely told them she had cancer. I have never been so restrained with the ugliness that came from that register. These ladies were well into their adult years, and I was appalled by their behavior. SHAME ON YOU BRIGHTON EMPLOYEES!!! I will tell everyone I know to stay away from your store. You ladies are not better than anyone and should NEVER treat anyone like that.
