I feel compelled to write a review about this great little Canton tool shop because the friendly…read moreguy who runs it got me out of a DIY pickle once... I was trying to put up some blinds in my bedroom, but needed to cut them to size . Being a bit helpless in these matters, I ended up going over the road to this place for a saw of some kind. The guy in the shop was lovely, and when I told him what I was attempting to do he offered to cut it to size for me - so off I went back to my flat to get the blinds, which he then sorted out for me. Talk about customer service! I'd highly recommend this little independent shop over the bigger chains such as B&Q, where the staff are often elusive, dismissive and indifferent. Here you get a personal service with a genuine smile!

Although they stock a wide range of really affordable tools and gardening equipment, business has been pretty slow... that was until last month! Spring happened overnight. Gardens that had been dormant for about six months sprang into action, and put on enough of a spurt to make up for the desperately long winter. Nature will always overcome! So, the people came out in their droves and bought all of the equipment they needed to get on with their gardens and maintenance jobs... and then it all went quiet again.... A prelude to the World Cup may be? They also offer key cutting and lock smithing by the way!

This is a great little hardware shop, it is only small but stocks just about everything you will…read moreever need when it comes to hardware and things for your home. The staff are really knowledgable and helpful and will do there best to help in any way they can. They have helped me out on nemerous occasions when I have come in here looking for obscure sized batteries or DIY equipment. As well as DIY equipment they also sell such things as batteries, lights, kitchen equipment, household goods and they also cut keys. Their prices are really reasonable, often cheaper than the big DIY shops.

What does surprise me is how they manage to translate some of the customer requests into any form of sense?! If you've ever stood in the envariable, short but fast moving, queue to pay you'll have heard it :O) There's no hard sell here and they'll always be my preference as opposed going to some large faceless DIY store...and even if they are not cheaper (which they are in most cases!) when you take into account the fuel for getting to Weston or Bridgwater your better off going here instead....parking being the only problem if you want to buy anything large/heavy/awkward. Good luck to Darren/Phil/Kelly & Denise and hope they keep doing what they're doing! Mark PS: Why do pensioners HAVE to go shopping at weekends since they really should leave these days for those of us who work all week and who's time is precious & (mostly) we know what we want to buy..rest assured you won't see me shopping at weekends when I hit 66 :o)
