I learned of HJ Holtz & Sons by searching on the internet and reading reviews, so I wanted to pay it forward! Great company to work with. We had a very busy spring/early summer and they were very easy and accommodating. The quoting process was simple and fast, not to mention reasonable. When it came time for the work to be completed, the workers were always on time, clean, and efficient. They arrived between 7:30 and 8 every morning and were gone between 3-4 in the afternoon. They took about 3 days to complete the cabinet boxes. The doors were removed and taken off-site, completed about a week after the rest of the cabinets. We could not be happier with the end result - absolutely beautiful job! Zero hassle, the company did exactly what they said they were going to do, within the time frame promised, and for the originally quoted price. We received a quote in July of 2019 for exterior painting at our home but missed the 2019 "painting season". Once we got an approximate start date in early April of 2020, H J Holtz & Son was terrific to work with. They coordinated power-washing with EnviroWash (who also did a great job) and the crew descended on our house for just less than 3 weeks. From start to finish, the crew (Casey [later replaced by Jose' when Casey moved to another job], Zach and with Gary at the lead) kept us informed of the process, went above and beyond in many ways (we have a 95 year old house) such as assisting with very old windows, progressed incredibly efficiently and gave us a terrific finished product! Communication was excellent all through the process and we are delighted with the end result! The final invoice was exactly in line with the July 2019 proposal. Holtz recently painted a 70 year old cocktail table for me. Although the table was a fixture in the living room throughout my childhood, I was on the verge of giving it away. It sat in my son's garage for 6 months. Because my late mother had cherished the table, I decided to keep it. Since Holtz had done a stellar job painting a very heavy bookshelf unit and a rattan sofa set, I approached them about painting the table (and the frame for its glass top) a glossy white. The top of the table has a clipper ship scene...the legs, sides, and frame have a carved design. Holtz did a fantastic job! They took time to make sure that every nook and cranny was beautifully and smoothly painted. I am grateful to them for the care they took in finishing the piece! I am thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and quality of work performed by Holtz and Son. We made the decision to paint the exterior of a 1930's brick home and could not be happier with the quality of the end product and the amazing transformation. They did an incredible job with so much of the old trim, including the old window glazing, that had many years of very poor paint jobs layered on top of each other. I would call them true craftsman. I not only feel like they brought a tired exterior to life again, but I also know that the house is well protected and sealed due to their diligent care in sealing and caulking the so many areas that needed it. Had cabinets painted and couldn't be happier with the outcome. Was going from maple cabinets to white and was afraid the cabinets would be plastic looking or noticibly painted. That was not the case at all. The sales man recommended the right shade of white and finish for my desired outcome and it was perfect. Crew was clean while working and the work was done in 2 1/2 days. Doors do take a little longer to get back but smooth spray finished product was worth it. Took about a month to get on the schedule so be prepared to wait a bit, but was well worth it for high quality. Pricing seemed reasonable to me. Great alternative vs. all new cabinets.
