We used Hettrick Painting to paint our entire house. We found their estimate competitive and they were able to start within our time frame. They did so well with the interior paint job we called them back to do the outside shutters and doors. Their carpenter was also able to repair a door frame issue quickly and at a reasonable cost. We were impressed with their skills, their professionalism, and their fairness in resolving a minor claim. Our interactions with Bijoi and Debbie were always cordial and professional. We used Hetrick to paint our deck and it was a complete disaster. They charged us twice as much as the original quote because they said the wood really drank the paint and they used more that they thought. In less than 1 year it started peeling and hasn't stopped. You can see from the pictures it is not scratches. It is the paint cleanly coming off the wood. The only follow up was a guy from spectrum telling me the quality of stain isn't what it used to be. Rob never followed up with me after that. I guess I am supposed to just accept that after paying a fortune for the job. The final price was almost twice what he quoted and what others quoted. I don't know if it is quality of the paint or bad application, but either way they left me with the disaster to fix and of course kept the ridiculous amount of money I paid for it. We did an extensive kitchen and dining room renovation and wanted the job done right so called for an estimate and was genuinely surprised at how reasonable it was. Their project manager, Beshoy, was here the next day to give us an estimate. Communication throughout the job was timely, friendly, and effective. The crew was incredibly respectful of our home and cleaned up at the end of each day. The skill and attention to detail far surpassed our DIY ability! We had 2 large rooms, a stairway, and hallway with all of the trim and ceilings done in 3 days. The clean up at the end left my home better than they found it and the spaces look amazing! Hetrick is a dying breed of company, in that he actually does what he says and does the right thing regardless of profit. Long story short- He quoted me and gave me a written estimate to completely paint and repair the outside of my house. After his foreman came with materials there was an additional cost of $1,300 in materials alone in order to properly complete the job. That wasn't including extra labor. Hetrick didn't charge me anymore because it was his mistake overlooking the extra materials necessary. Which is the right thing to do. Things will go wrong, it's how you handle them that matters. He handled it ethically. I highly recommend him. read more

Hetrick Painting was very responsive and best of all, able to do my paint job on short notice. The owner and painters were very polite and timely. Overall it was a great experience working with them! The only reason I docked a star was because the pricing could've been a little more transparent (wound up paying hundreds of dollars more than expected even after shaving off a room) and after finding a few spots that looked a bit messy, they promised they would send the painters back out to fix it and no one ever came. I'll probably explore some other local options for future jobs, but I'd feel confident recommending them to other folks as a solid pick! read more

I'm very happy with the work Rob Hetrick did at my new house. The price he charged was reasonable. The quality of the work was very good. I had 3 places I needed holes repaired and the job they did was amazing. You'd never be able to tell anything was there before. Rob gave me some very good advice on paint color. Benjamin Moore Revere Pewter is a great neutral color that goes with anything I have. I used it in 70% of my house. I used Benjamin Moore's Tapestry Beige for the other 30%. No offense to the people who owned the house before us, but the existing paint colors weren't our taste. Lovely wife said every wall needed to be painted and she was right. With fresh paint in a beautiful neutral shade, the house just feels better. In summary, Rob is a great guy and easy to work with. Very responsive to calls, messages and emails. You will get a callback. The crew was respectful and worked fast. The quality of the work was very good. I'm very happy I chose him to paint my house. read more

I made several phone calls only to find his mailbox was full or if I left a message, he never returned the call. After several attempts, I gave up. Not sure how this company stays in business. Rob Hetrick was a pleasure to work with. Responded quickly to every call and text message. They painted 2 entire floors of our home and we couldn't be happier with the results. Abraham and his crew were very professional and friendly. We also had our kitchen cabinets painted white and they turned out great. After the painting job was completed we had our floors refinished, which of course caused some minor damage to the newly painted trim. Rob and his crew painted nearly the entire interior of our home after it had been vandalized. He patched holes, had to cover graffiti and had to work around other contractors fixing other stuff. Hetrick Painting does many other contract work as well as painting. They are professional, & hire quality people working for them. They have done a few jobs at my house getting it ready to sell, Their pricing is very competitive and fair and the end result is always amazing. They tiled my old shower by removing fiber glass and its beautiful. Rob, the owner would call to make sure all is going well and stop by to check the work. If there was one advice I could give others is that always hire the right group for the job. As an example, I hired a Handyman to paint the house & was wondering why, he would mix water with paint (which makes rolling much easier and faster), then realized that after a few month, all the spots or stains return and had to hire Hetrick to fix. Another example: I hired a handyman to remove front porch top sub-floor and in process, he removed the black stretch material called EPDM. Afterwards, he could not stretch back the EPDM and used tar to hide the work and placed back the J-Channels all wrong and bent the flashing (what you see to front and side from ground) so badly that it looks like hell. I paid a real roofer $450 to remove EPDM and tar and put back new EPDM and fix flashing and J-Channel. read more

Hired to paint our kitchen cabinets and really misrepresented their process and expected results. Told us during our initial quote that cabinets would be professionally sprayed. Only the doors were sprayed and the cabinets themselves were painted by hand. The painter did not tape and got paint on our brand new microwave drawer and the underside of our brand new quartz cabinets. The doors of our cabinets also had multiple imperfections after being sprayed including visible dust/debris, smudges, bubbles, and dimpling. When we asked Rob to come back and look at our concerns, he instead sent the painters who were defensive. He eventually came out and made several excuses as to why the quality was not what we were promised and why the cabinets were painted by brush and not sprayed as he led us to believe, as well as telling us we were being too nit picky. He was also sexist and would only reply to our texts and emails through my husband; his customer/quality service rep who tried her best to be helpful and smooth things over even told my husband that Rob only wanted to communicate through him. I can't speak to the quality of their work with respect to interior room and exterior painting, but I would never recommend Hetrick Painting for kitchen or bathroom cabinets. read more
