I always enjoy visiting H Mart, particularly this location at the Redmond Town Center. While it's not my primary grocery store, I'll come here occasionally to pick up items like Japanese eggplant, Kabocha squash, sesame oil and dried shiitake mushrooms. The Japanese eggplant can be a hit or miss... during my most recent visit, they looked completely fine, but another time, I remember they were spotted brown and wrinkly. The store is clean, organized and always appears fully stocked. Of course, I can't leave without visiting my favorite aisle - the snacks! I'll typically pick up a couple boxes of Pocky since they have a wide selection with special limited edition flavors that you don't see just anywhere. My other favorites are the Koalas March and Asian-inspired Kit Kats. I will normally also check out the prepared and hot food items in the deli area. They used to offer bentos which I didn't see last time, but they had things like popcorn chicken, bibimbap, etc. I've gotten their fresh kimbap a couple times since it's a pretty good deal at $7.99 for ten substantial pieces. The beef kimbap was the perfect light lunch with savory ribbons of meat, cucumber, radish, carrot, egg and fish cake. A staircase near the liquor section (and nearby elevators) leads to an upper level containing houseware, beauty supplies and miscellaneous cute items. I loved browsing the dishes, Sanrio items and skin care products. On top of that, there is a Tous Les Jours attached to this H Mart, making it super convenient to purchase a sweet treat on the way out! I have come to this location several times over the past couple years and despite most customers having a cart full of items, the employees are very efficient with scanning and processing payment. They don't make much conversation, but have always been pleasant at the checkout. The parking lot spaces are a little tight, but there are plenty of them, so I've never had an issue finding a spot. However, the deli section - we got kimbap and salmon poke - was not up to par. The kimbap was mid tasting and a bit dry. H MART @ REDMOND This location is HUGE compared to Bellevue's. It's easy to find parking in the plaza and it is free. Entering the place is very spacious, I really enjoy how they label everything to produce, fish, etc. All the products are fresh and so well organized. The service is great especially when you check out. It goes by quick and the workers are kind. I really like their sashimi section especially if you're looking to make sushi, this is the spot. There's even a whole section on just pure instant ramen! Another great feature is that there is a bakery, Tour De Les, that's hidden to the right side of the cashiers, super cute little bakery/cafe. read more

I'm so happy I don't have to go all the way to Bellevue anymore for some of my favorite childhood snacks! Conveniently located in the RTC and near the Red Robin, it's a great place to stop by after running errands. The staff are always sooo helpful whenever I'm having trouble finding stuff (their selection is pretty big) and are very kind. I've been having trouble finding Buldak noodles at QFC since they're always out of stock, but H Mart has a giant selection! Much cheaper as well. Wide selection and of just about everything Korean. Prices are a little too steep compared to some smaller Korean grocery stores in the north end. The store was pretty hard to navigate through due to how the floor plan is set up. I found myself constantly having to find a way around carts left unattended and people strategically placing themselves in the choking points. Hmart continues to be the place to go for Asian food in the area. Because there are no large Filipino grocers nearby, this Hmart stocks quite a few Filipino brands, including Mama Sita and different packages of milkfish (bangus). It does have live tanks containing lobster, crabs, and clams. This location has a large footprint...always interesting to see what a specialty grocer will do with it. In this case, it was a large offshoot off the main building...Hmart was using it for a deli and overflow...super empty. read more

This H mart is so much larger than their Bellevue store! You can actually maneuver a shopping cart around with no traffic jams. Seems like a lot more variety to choose from. I like veggie shopping at this store. It's not as good as their Lynnwood or Federal Way store but much better than Bellevue. Employees are courteous and helpful and several of the Korean employees speak English well so I was able to ask questions. I finally found the fermented black bean paste to make Korean jjajangmymeon. I was so excited when I heard a new HMART would be coming to Redmond. The Bellevue HMART is so tiny and cramped. The Lynwood HMART has good banchan and a large home section, but is too far. The Federal Way HMART is large with good selection but also far. I would not really characterize this HMART as a truly Korean grocery store. It's more of an international asian grocery store with food mainly from Korean and from other Asian countries. They have a pretty large home/beauty section on the 2nd floor. The produce section is okay but often not the freshest selection. The most disappointing thing for me is the prepared food section. It is awful. If you have never tried Korean food do not use their food to evaluate it. It can be infinitely better. The little fish side dishes we have purchased it where it was hard and crusted together, the offerings are pretty basic and don't taste great. I would skip all of them. All the other HMARTs offer much better banchan and kimbaps. My favorite kimbap is the tuna one and since their opening they've decreased the tuna filling and added imitation crab and other fillers. The spam musubi in the beginning was about 2.5" long. The last time I went to get one I laughed because it was half the size but the same price. Ridiculous! Shrinkflation in full effect, but especially in the Redmond location. AVOID the prepared food section. Not sure why it's different from the other locations. Sad because there was so much potential here. I'm glad there's an HMART in Redmond, but the execution was sadly not there. Even though this location is convenient for me, I hardly go here except when in a pinch. read more

So, I have to start by saying that I LOVE Korean food, so H Mart is a sort of paradise for me. This is one of the biggest H Marts I have ever been in, and they have a TON of products from Korea (plus a few from other parts of Asia). Whether you are looking for Korean snacks and drinks, Korean sauces, Korean coffee, Korean frozen foods (like mandu and tteokbokki), Korean beer/soju, or freshly prepared Korean meals, this H Mart pretty much has it all. Some things I particularly love about this location is that they carry so many Korean/Asian beers, even some Korean craft beers, and their ready-prepared food section is really big. This H-Mart is so good, it's almost worth the light-rail ride form Bellevue, where there is also a (smaller) H-Mart. read more

I finally got a chance to visit the new H Mart in Redmond, and it did not disappoint! The store is clean, spacious, and well-organized. I was particularly impressed with the fresh seafood and meat selections, they have a huge variety that's hard to find elsewhere. There's so much more than just groceries here. Their houseware and beauty section is a hidden gem on the second floor, and the specialty liquor section is located past the checkout area toward the Tous Les Jours bakery. The staff is great and eager to help if you can't find what you are looking for. The parking lot is also huge, which makes getting in and out very easy. Finally made my way to the newly opened H Mart in Redmond. It is located directly across from the 24 hour fitness, and also has a bakery attached. The space is huge, with tons of items. In comparison to the Bellevue location, this is like the DIsneyland of H Marts. I would say it rivals the location in Lynwood but, I also noticed that this location has a lot more Chinese/Japanese items which makes sense to align to the demographic they would find in Redmond. There is a dedicated room for ramen, their hot foods bar was clean and well stocked with a ton of options, they have a Korean iced coffee fridge section with the pouched iced coffee and viral cups of ice. They have a Tou Les Jour bakery attached which has it's own dining/sit down area (so cute and perfect to grab a coffee and pastry while catching up with a friend) They also had the most impressive alcohol selection I've seen at an H Mart, all locked away at the front of the store in front of the registers. The cashiers were all super friendly and they seemed happy to be there which is always a nice added touch to the experience. If you're in the East Side, this is an answer to your prayers when it comes to Korean groceries, no more having to make the 30 miles trek to Lynwood or settle for the small Bellevue location! read more

The much anticipated H Mart in Redmond is finally open! Woohoo!! Some logistics first: - This is the old Bed, Bath, and Beyond location, very near the central Redmond Town Center. - Parking is plentiful. Most shoppers know of the large Lynnwood location and the claustrophobic Bellevue location. Size wise, this one is in between. They have a very, very small non-food area but added a dedicated liquor area. There is a roomy deli area. But it was understandably closed or completely sold out when we arrived at 8pm. The usual suspects are well represented - a very large seafood area (much, much better than Bellevue), dry goods of all kinds, produce is abundant, even tofu and seaweed are 'extra'. Teas and drinks of all types are well stocked. Snacks and sweets are ready to tempt you. I was disappointed not to find any cute socks to buy. Even the tiny downtown store has the socks. Otherwise, I am satisfied. We went to a normal checkout line. The checker, a young man, was good. But another lady who might be a bagger tried to ignore my request to wipe the surface that had a gooey residue, upon which the checker was pushing my purchases. I do not want to bring home items smeared with goo. She tore a dry scrap of paper towel, gave it a "toddler" wipe, then told me it won't be cleaned. I stopped the checker for a second time. This time, the checker went to get a cleaning spray to properly wipe the surface before continuing. Thank you, young man! Hey lady, that's what customer service is. Lastly, being the opening weekend, they are giving away free prices when you buy $50+, $100+, etc. The free prices vary. I bought just over $50 and received free chopsticks. read more

H Mart, inside of Redmond is exactly what the area needed. I visited on the opening day, and for a place that just opened. I thought it was incredibly well stocked, really organized, and the produce was looking extremely fresh. I will be visiting again, I will be purchasing some hard to find items, and I will continue to support H Mart in this area. I imagine that as they stay open, everything will continue to get smoother. I noticed that there was quite a bit of diversity amongst the employees there, and it seemed like a few different languages being spoken. Overall well organized though. So happy they opened up this H-Mart on the Eastside. The Bellevue location is so small and cramped and the Lynnwood location was a bit far. This location has a huge selection of groceries, prepared foods, and a newly opened Artbox upstairs. We frequent this location for our grocery needs. Love their selection of frozen shabu meat, produce, snacks, and instant noodles. We've been able to find some products we couldn't find anywhere else, here. The only thing we steer away from is their dairy items. A few times we've noticed mold in the packaged cheeses and fast approaching/past expiration dates on milk and heavy cream. I visited during the grand opening week and it was very crowded, making parking challenging. It seems many people wanted to get the grand opening gift, leading to long lines outside. The interior looks nicer than the Bellevue location. I'll have to come back once the opening buzz dies down to properly experience and review the place when it's not as congested. Today was just too busy to get a full sense of the venue. I look forward to circling back for a more informed review later on. read more

I have been to H Mart in Lynnwood. But in terms of options and inventory, I felt this one is better. Plenty of parking space. Quite an easy access as well. Best parts re the sea food section and produces. Fish I bought that day was quality. There were some good deals on Salmon as well, which I don't find often in Lynnwood location. The Fruits and veggies - plentiful. This is place was packed on a Saturday afternoon. But the Service was great. They have self checkout option. So it was easy to make the payment and walk out. Great store to have nearby. It is very large and has a lot of Asian goods, particularly Korean. I still think Owajimaya is the better store, but this one is so much less crowded and far more convenient. I think it is a little bit overpriced, but I do love the food options. There are a lot of Korean food options here. We mostly come to pick up lunch. Occasionally, I do buy grocery items. A Tous les Jours bakery is attached, which is always tempting. We were worried about the parking situation given that it is right next to Mayuri, but we have had no issues. It probably depends on the day and time. read more

The location for this H Mart is great with a large shared parking lot with Mayuri and Red Robin. Unfortunately today was the grand opening and the parking lot was already overfull at 10 am (opening time) so shoppers had to find parking in other areas of Redmond Town Center. Likewise the inside is much larger than H Mart in Bellevue. I appreciated the extra space when it was usable but due to the checkout lines, people checking out were completely blocking at least three of the aisles. Workers were standing around trying to restock goods but unable to do so due to the amount of people or sometimes even just standing there chatting. The deli area is the same as Bellevue with a larger area to sit. There were closed self checkout registers over there as well. Unfortunately I do not see the line situation improving any time soon unless they improve the flow through the store. As things are it is nearly impossible to reach any items near the registers due to the lines. read more

I'm super excited to have this HMart pretty much in my backyard. I've been there about 5x since they opened last year and every time it's more and more organized with tons of products and now the deli and bakery are opened which is awesome. I love to browse through all the sections and see what's new. I probably spend the most amount of time in the ready made food section. I do agree with another review that the kimbap seems super expensive but then again, what hasn't gone up in price these days? I wish instead of that large dedicated alcohol space, they would have used that to sell some K beauty products and other things like hair accessories, cute dishware etc. I feel like that would have been much more of a draw and make the experience a lot more interesting. But overall, I'm very happy HMart has come to Redmond. read more

We usually shop at other Asian markets. However, we have been regular customers since it opened. Most of the time we had no issues and were happy with what we got. However, the only thing we kept returning to the store the next day after shopping was the tofu pudding (soy milk pudding). Tofu pudding is one of the family's favorite desserts after the main meal. Somehow it smelled stale and sour after opening. The liquid inside the container is thick and viscous. It would not happen when it's fresh. The same issue has been happening at least 5 times since it opened. Although we wrote a couple of emails to share the experience with H Mart, we have never heard anything back. We enjoy shopping at H Mart, but it's also very frustrating often have to return to the store for the same health issue. The suggestion for H Mart is tofu pudding they order from needs to be labeled with the date it was made or an expiration date. This matter should apply to all the items too. We hope H Mart can take this matter seriously and hope no more frustration again. read more

A huge shout out to H Mart for selling tabletop gas stoves and cartridges during the extensive power outage in the Seattle area last week despite having no power at the Redmond store. It was the only thing they were selling in the store lobby, exactly what I went there to buy. AVOID IF YOU ARE VEGETARIAN! The good: Plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits that are commonly used in Asian recipes. Plenty of parking and space to move around in the store. The bad: Almost everything is more expensive than buying the same item at Mayuri or Apna Bazaar across the street or Costco. Cilantro, tofu, bread, butter, tomatoes, onions, potatoes.. everything was 15-40% higher than stores within walking distance. The ugly: The stench of seafood is everywhere in the store. Feels like being at an Asian fish market. Lots of live sea animals are imprisoned , waiting to be sold and killed. The ugly and cruel practice has come to Redmond unfortunately. read more

So happy Hmart is in Redmond!!! My only issue is their deli grab and go food is not as good or appealing as other Hmart locations. I think they can def improve their ready made food please!
