The staff is very friendly, and the prices are great, especially if you're looking for something affordable and within your budget. Overall, I had a great experience here and would highly recommend stopping by if you're looking for low prices, good quality items, and a wide selection. The Japanese eggplant can be a hit or miss... during my most recent visit, they looked completely fine, but another time, I remember they were spotted brown and wrinkly. The store is clean, organized and always appears fully stocked. Of course, I can't leave without visiting my favorite aisle - the snacks! I'll typically pick up a couple boxes of Pocky since they have a wide selection with special limited edition flavors that you don't see just anywhere. My other favorites are the Koalas March and Asian-inspired Kit Kats. I will normally also check out the prepared and hot food items in the deli area. They used to offer bentos which I didn't see last time, but they had things like popcorn chicken, bibimbap, etc. I've gotten their fresh kimbap a couple times since it's a pretty good deal at $7.99 for ten substantial pieces. The beef kimbap was the perfect light lunch with savory ribbons of meat, cucumber, radish, carrot, egg and fish cake. A staircase near the liquor section (and nearby elevators) leads to an upper level containing houseware, beauty supplies and miscellaneous cute items. I loved browsing the dishes, Sanrio items and skin care products. On top of that, there is a Tous Les Jours attached to this H Mart, making it super convenient to purchase a sweet treat on the way out! I have come to this location several times over the past couple years and despite most customers having a cart full of items, the employees are very efficient with scanning and processing payment. They don't make much conversation, but have always been pleasant at the checkout. The parking lot spaces are a little tight, but there are plenty of them, so I've never had an issue finding a spot. There were lots of employees stocking the shelves when I came in, so the store seemed well maintained and well stocked. They also have a great selection of coffee syrups at an awesome price! The good is the lady in the deli spoke perfect English and was very nice and didnt act like talking to me was an imposition. It's spotlessly clean, easy to navigate, and every aisle has something enticing. The staff is super friendly without being overbearing. There appears to be proper staffing, nobody seems stressed out or too busy to casually assist you. The checkout line is always packed, but the crew clears people through at lightning speed. Nobody is crawling around the floor covered in listeria. The fact that you're hear about safety recalls at Trader Joe's proves the company takes them seriously; otherwise, they would go unannounced. I've previously worked in the industry so I can assure you that many other places handle recalls quietly, you don't even know they're happening. It takes a lot to impress a pessimist like me, but this location has managed a perfect streak. Every visit, absolutely zero issues; they've genuinely earned my respect.

TRADER JOE's @ REDMOND…read more Parking can get pretty busy especially it being on a weekend. This Trader Joe's also shares a complex with other stores such as QFC. Walking in, the place is pretty small, compared to other Trader Joe's in Washington. The quality of the fresh items aren't the greatest, we were looking for strawberries that were organic, and they still had leaves in it and some looked like mold was formulating. Other food items however in the frozen aisles were good, they always have new items and I really enjoy how spacious the aisles are from one to another. The service itself wasn't the best. Every Trader Joe's i've been to people are ALWAYS asking about your day, how you are, or even the bare of smiling and being nice. The guy who checked us out had a straight face the entire time, literally no expression. I just felt like the staff here isn't as friendly as Bellevue or Kirkland's location. Overall, I wouldn't come back to this Trader Joe's ad my first choice, it was smaller than the other location, less quality on the products, and staff weren't friendly as other locations.

She asked if my friend and I were related because of the same-household rule. This seemed harmless at first, but when we explained that we were just friends, she responded with an "uhhh mmm, okay" tone that felt odd and dismissive, almost like we were lying. Considering every past World Market I've been to, staff would say "congratulations" or "nice job" instead of giving off that vibe. Susan mentioned she's had issues with families all getting one, but then another staff member, Ryan i believe, clarified the rule was about household--not relation. This left us confused, because hypothetically, had we been sisters, there's no way to know if we lived in the same household or not. The question of asking us if we were related could've been resolved after checking our IDs, which is required anyway to claim the prize--and she could've seen we didn't have the same last name. She could also have phrased the question better--asking if we lived in the same household rather than if we were related--rather than making assumptions based on our appearance. On top of that, she asked us three times where we found our eggs, and i genuinely feel like one answer should've been enough. We've participated in egg and Christmas hunts at other World Market locations in the past, and this kind of questioning has never happened to this extent. The way I was treated didn't feel fair or professional, and it made the experience unnecessarily uncomfortable. I found Susan, well...annoying. The only positive was Richard or Robert (someone named like that), who was kind and helpful, which we appreciated.
