While it's…read morenot my primary grocery store, I'll come here occasionally to pick up items like Japanese eggplant, Kabocha squash, sesame oil and dried shiitake mushrooms. The Japanese eggplant can be a hit or miss... during my most recent visit, they looked completely fine, but another time, I remember they were spotted brown and wrinkly. The store is clean, organized and always appears fully stocked. Of course, I can't leave without visiting my favorite aisle - the snacks! I'll typically pick up a couple boxes of Pocky since they have a wide selection with special limited edition flavors that you don't see just anywhere. My other favorites are the Koalas March and Asian-inspired Kit Kats. I will normally also check out the prepared and hot food items in the deli area. They used to offer bentos which I didn't see last time, but they had things like popcorn chicken, bibimbap, etc. I've gotten their fresh kimbap a couple times since it's a pretty good deal at $7.99 for ten substantial pieces. The beef kimbap was the perfect light lunch with savory ribbons of meat, cucumber, radish, carrot, egg and fish cake. A staircase near the liquor section (and nearby elevators) leads to an upper level containing houseware, beauty supplies and miscellaneous cute items. I loved browsing the dishes, Sanrio items and skin care products. On top of that, there is a Tous Les Jours attached to this H Mart, making it super convenient to purchase a sweet treat on the way out! I have come to this location several times over the past couple years and despite most customers having a cart full of items, the employees are very efficient with scanning and processing payment. They don't make much conversation, but have always been pleasant at the checkout. The parking lot spaces are a little tight, but there are plenty of them, so I've never had an issue finding a spot. They were creamy and soft, with a good flavor, though the vanilla was a bit too sweet for my taste (I prefer less sugar). Still, they were quite enjoyable. Next time, I'll make sure to sample something from the bakery and try a few more snacks.

I don't think I've been to a supermarket that's had this amount of range and variety. The produce section is HUGE and so fresh! The proteins and seafood sections are plentiful, clean, and not too smelly at all. There are rows and rows of dry foods, seasonings, snacks, and more. There's a huge cosmetic and health section with Chinese medicines, Korean and Japanese skincare and makeup, and lots of incense and scents. Beyond just the grocery store, there is an extensive food court serving up Chinese and Taiwanese eats. There's even a bakery onsite whipping up cakes and all sorts of breads. Simply put, it was heaven.

They also serve lunch from 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM daily. I usually stock up on biscuits and teas. They also have a bakery case filled with pasties, hand pies, and tarts. Their tea pot selection is also decent and ideal for gift giving. I'm definitely returning for their lunch service at their cafe next door. Staff has always been friendly and quick to offer assistance. Prices are comparable to other specialty shops.

When I shop there, I mostly concentrate on their dry goods such as sauces in jars, sweets, and easy to cook foods like frozen perogies (dumplings). Amongst the sweets, the Polish Wawel Mieszanka Krakowska chocolate covered jelly candy is a welcome treat. I enjoy wafer treats, so the Roshen wafers from Ukranine is my choice. I haven't had much luck with their produce; I skip them. (FYI: The business uses the Yelp photos to post the latest produce that has arrived, which is perfectly legitimate. But because they don't delete the previous photos, the Yelp photos suggest they may have a bigger produce section than they actually have at a given time. I was confused the first time I stepped in.) The shop is located in a strip mall with plentiful parking. The space is older, which I honestly don't care as long as it is clean. I don't require much service since I only need to pay and go. For me, this store doesn't serve the deli or the produce function in its name. But I do enjoy exploring their different items and choosing something new-to-me to try. That is good enough.
