Wow what a place. Lots of selection and cleaner than most the other Asian grocery stores I've been to. I picked up a live lobster and some salmon for sushi. Prices are a little higher than similar stores. I also picked up some veggies. All very fresh. I would come here more often but the distance from SLC is a bit much. read more

I loved going to the grand opening. It was very very busy so I am hoping the hype dies down enough to actually enjoy the shopping experience. There is a great selection of items and I'm super impressed with the staff. I will say the prices for certain items are definitely cheaper at ocean mart or Asian city but some are comparable so you just need to know what you normally pay. It was fun overall. read more

Unfortunately I think they were experiencing a problem with the sewage line in front of the store and the smell was unpleasant, but once inside the store there was no smell. The store is clean and organized. But I live in Davis county so the location is not good for me. They have a very large selection of food. I recommend for those living in the south end of the valley. read more

H Mart Opened today (6/7/24) This H Mart is the biggest and best selection of Korean Market in Utah. The aisle are wide and the store is very well placed. The ambiance is clean and fresh. Customer service for the first day is excellent. read more

Oh wow, this place is absolutely amazing. I found everything I wanted and more. Now I know this day and age going thru a C note isn't that hard but I saw so much I spent more than I intended. Everything asian is here, including a selection of items from India. I don't know how many types of rice there are, but I think they got you covered. This place isn't just for Asians by the way , I saw every type of people in the Valley shopping here. Even with the crowd, the lines moved quickly. Purchased a king crab worth 375.00 with no claws the employee at the seafood department assisted me with choosing a fresh (alive) crab I specifically chose this crab because of its big claws told me to pay before receiving it which I went ahead and did as soon as I pay they bring it to me because I was in a hurry I didn't think much of I got home and cleaned it and boiled it and had noticed it had no claws very dissatisfied with h mart and it's employees was robbed in daylight and none of them where any help! read more

I was out that way visiting family and I wanted to see what all the hype was about! So I pulled into the front entrance parking lot and it was one of those 100+ degree days and when I stepped out of my car I was hit with the smell of rotting flesh and raw sewage! I ran into the store and it smelled fine, I bought some Kim Bap it was good! Everything I bought was good but I have a special favorite fruit called Rambutan when it's in season and right now it's in season! They had a hundred bags of them on the shelf! They were all old and rotten! So I thought I would get some canned Rambutan and no they didn't have them! Such a disappointment! I was lucky enough to get the last package of Korean fried chicken wings they were excellent but $8.00 for what I call 4 wings cut into 8 pieces. Restaurants also call one wing two wings! Overall I had a ok experience but I know of all the Asian markets in the salt lake area. Each one has their own special foods but for me China Town has a better Asian market also some good restaurants! read more

Used to go here all the time in SoCal- so glad they opened one out here! Mostly Korean food, but a pretty good selection of other cuisines. The fact that I can get frozen Okonomiyaki is enough for 5 stars. They also have some freshly made food to go - the Beef bowl is delish with some soy sauce! I how the restaurants inside open soon too! Be warned it smells kinda fishy in the store, especially near the back, but that's the price you pay for fresh (read alive) seafood. read more

Well, well, well, well, well...here we have another fascinating entry in the apparently exploding Asian market scene, this one leaning a lot more heavily towards the Korean side of things. The gold standard, for me currently, is the Chinatown Supermarket, which, while definitely skewed more towards Chinese/Vietnamese, does a respectable job of covering both Japanese and Korean styles. So, it is with a certain amount of high praise that I compare this favorably to that, only this one is far more expansive and with much better selection, at least on the Korean side of things. It is new and huge and quite clean inside and you could easily spend hours happily wandering around, finding stuff, including some games and unique elements that I've not seen anywhere other than here. There are a couple issues for me. The first is that you might have to spend hours wandering around trying to find stuff because the entrance is a bit of an issue. While Chinatown Supermarket likes to funnel everyone through the center of the store, layering the entire walking path with delectable impulse buys, many of which are readily consumable bakery items, which can clot up things at times, but is a very smart practice, as it's not to find something appealing and eye-catching, this place opts for two separate ends, with a very long stretch in the middle, which is essentially a very long wall. This is kind of an absurd waste of space and perhaps they have future plans for a mural or some type of decor or maybe heavier objects like statues or something, but for now, it looks plain and slightly unfinished. It is also annoying to have to walk around. There is evidently not a bakery here, which I find kind of puzzling. Surely, there is enough space to rent out a section and get a K-bakery in there. Surely. The second issue I have is the layout inside the store is kind of atrocious. I understand the impulse is to keep people in the store (and Chinatown does this by clotting up the way too short and too few checkout lines, a practice I actually dislike) but having random objects they may be seeking scattered throughout the store is annoying. I don't want a goddamn treasure hunt when shopping for food items and they are certainly far from alone in being guilty of this, but I appreciate it more when stores respect my time. This one has so much stuff, I get the impression they were rushing to the opening and if so, I imagine this will get better over time. Anyway, my first trip there was definitely an experience and I highly recommend this as a place to check out. For me and the way I tend to like to shop, I can't give this the nod over the Chinatown Supermarket just yet, but it is a strong contender and with a few tweaks here and there (and a bakery) to layout in particular, I would not be surprised to see this surpass that and then we could have two very strong entries into this segment in the valley. read more

This huge store has it all and the produce department is killing it!!! The entire store is very organized and the employees are very friendly and helpful. If you need it, they have it. This place is huge, lots of variety but also on the pricey side. I wish that I could have stayed longer but the place was too cold. First few days of the store were great. Everything was fairly priced, had sufficient stock, and was great customer service. In a span of 24 hours, they have double every price. The gas stove yesterday was around 30, now today it's 60. I bought siracha for 4 dollars, now it's 7. Everything I have compared to buying yesterday has nearly doubled in price. I loved the place the first few days, but it's going to be hard returning when everything is up charged. read more

Such a fun grocery store, so much more fun than a typical American one. It was impeccably clean, stocked with so many different options, we had fun going slowly through all the isles. And hearing K and J pop was so fun. I purchased about $150 in king crab legs from HMart. They were absolutely horrible! the first few were so bland, the next couple had a weird chemicallay taste and smell. So disappointed to spend so much money, just to make my family sick! DO NOT buy crab legs from this place, unless you want to be sick! read more

I've never ever go to the market like this. It's awesome. It huge and a lots of things I can buy overthere. Beside of that, they still have the area place for sitting down and make something fun with friend such as talking or relaxing. These H-Mart in West Jordan, Utah is going to beat all Asian Supermarkets in Utah. They sell cooked foods, fresh seafoods, beefs, porks, chickens, produces. The store is very spacious and bright. The cashier is prompt. read more

Big selection, store is massive. But it's over priced and super crowded. We couldn't even get to the fresh fish. And they charge for the plastic grocery bags at checkout. Probably won't shop there again. read more

Not accessible to patrons who may need mobility assistance. For a grocery store so big, there was not a single mobility cart for disabled patrons. Please make your store accessible to people who can't walk through an entire store or have people to push them in wheelchairs. That means getting motorized carts for both entrances. Because I would love to be able to shop here. I just can't walk long distances. read more
