Don Burns was the agent for the sellers of a home we purchased a few months ago, and while I have nothing negative to say about him as person, as an agent, I think he has absolutely no backbone and I honestly don't know how he sleeps at night. There is NO way on EARTH our agent would have backed my husband and I on one tenth of the antics Don's clients pulled, and I blame Don, because he represented/stood by all the insane demands and tantrums his clients had. I mean he even signed his name (and reputation) to the outlandish emails his clients wrote to our agent. I understand Don didn't have the power to force his clients to do the right thing, but I can tell you, if I tried to pull those same stunts with our buyer, that Don's clients pulled on us, our agent 100% would have walked, because when it all comes down to it, it's the agent's name and reputation on the line. The agents are our representatives, and I'm shocked that Don rolled over like he did. Thanks to Don and his insanely demanding clients, my husband and I couldn't even leave our very first house together, as a family, we also didn't get to walk into our new home as a family either. His clients did whatever they wanted and while I'm certain Don didn't agree with them, he sure didn't do much to stop their behaviors either, and that is on him. It's his name and reputation, and when it comes down to it, his lack of a backbone made what should have been a very happy time, a total mess for our family. I respect someone who stands up for what is right, no matter the cost. I was always taught what's right is right and what's wrong is wrong. Most of the time, the hardest thing and the RIGHT thing are the same. I'd rather do the right thing, ESPECIALLY if it's my name and reputation on the line. For my good name, there is NO sale/commission big enough that makes tarnishing my name worth it. read more

The worst experience ever! Don talks a lot of talk and makes it seem like he's the best but he's not, don't let him fool you. I want to save anyone this headache that feels like a nightmare because he made me lose my money and didn't even have the decency to notify me that my loan wasn't approved and that I lost my deposit. When I finally contacted him because I found out the news through my realtor, he was very careless.. what kind of person is that!? He blamed everything on his staff and even tried putting responsibility on me and my realtor, that was his job and he took no responsibility! Im so upset that I trusted him.. read more

Don Burn failed me my family, we requested a loan to purchase a home and in the process I lost a lot of money. We found a home that we liked and were pursuing a loan from Don, in which I texted him and my agent also communicated to him that we were ready for the loan process. The seller had communicated to us that he wanted to sell and closed in three weeks so we communicated that to Don. He said no problem I can get it done in that period. So more than a week want by and heard nothing from Don so I texted him several times, than I called him and left him a message cuz he would not answer, he finally called me and I explain that I needed that loan as soon as possible and he responded, "what property are you talking about" and I told property X he said "oh will give me the address and we will get it done in the time requested " So from there on in had kept telling different dates as to when it would close escrow, until it was more than a month and the seller was very upset and what to cancel the deal cuz it was taking too long. In the meantime I was supposed to be out of the home I was renting on the time he promise I would get the loan. After the due date that I was supposed to be in my new home I had to start paying $70 a day until we closed which I ended up paying more that $800. Plus the seller was having doubt about my loan so he requested I fund my down payment early to please the seller in which Don said I will overestimate your down payment so you only pay once. Cuz I had to wire the money in which the bank charged $35 fee each time I wired the money. So, he underestimated the amount and I had to paid extra in which they charged me an extra $35 to wire what was needed to fund the loan. Finally, escrow called and set it up for early Friday so I could closed as soon as possible will everybody done their part except for Don again, escrow called and said everything is ready but Don has not funded the loan. Will he fail to fund on time again so they said, you will have to wait till Monday cuz the fund came in late. So that's Don Burns late returning my calls and text always with an excuse that he at a meeting. Too busy to complete your loan on time making promises that he failed miserably to complete on time. He promised to close in three weeks but took more than five weeks. read more
