There's one little kiosk with a guy selling a few sandwiches and coffee. Honestly though the kiosk guy was great, really friendly even early in the morning. I wasn't exactly sure how this whole thing worked since I'm not from here, but the attendant was nice and explained that my train would have a line up starting 20 minutes before boarding, then we'd all board together. If you're taking a train out of here I'd give yourself extra time and bring your own food (but stop by the kiosk guy for a coffee, he's a delight).

My phone screen is shattered and I have large, colorful bruises all along my knees and left thigh which appeared immediately. I was even bleeding a bit through my clothes. The janitor cleaned the water but was otherwise dismissive and lacking empathy even after seeing the damages. So, I asked him to apologize repeatedly for neglecting his duty . He adamantly refused, stating that "HE (personally) didn't spill the water" and "can't be everywhere at once" lol. The manager had the sense to apologize but was condescending. Talking over me the entire time, loudly defending the janitor within earshot of him. Mansplaining excuses that are NOT the customer's burden to understand such as: "we can't hire janitors 24/7" and "you said the spill looked like it was there for a while? Well, he only clocked in 1hr ago and cleans the restrooms first". How is that my business lol? Any assigned duty during his shift is technically his responsibility. It's just common sense to apologize. Your internal staffing issues are also not my concern; sounds like you simply need more janitors. I've worked as a server and can't count the number of times I've had to fix and take accountability for a previous shift's mistake. That's just how the world works? Annoying to listen to the manager trying to refute and twist all of my legitimate points in the janitor's defense. Yet, fully admitting that he needs to be admonished. Stop being your employee's boy. Teach basic respect. He even countered that this person is a "third party" hire when I pointed out that he still works for and therefore, represents Amtrak. Ridiculous LMFAO. There's a McDonalds and Jack in the Box as well as a shopping center. I wanted to explore a little more but my son wasn't interested in that day. There was a lot of hustle and bustle. But I didn't feel inherently unsafe or anything line that. Just stayed aware of my surroundings. I could see how this would provide a very convenient way to get back and forth in these 2 areas Someone asked me if I needed a taxi in TJ. But I declined of course. Once we arrived the Trolley stuck around did maybe 15 minutes or so. So we were able to walk out;, look around, then get right back on. It was at times a bit crowded and the noise levels were up and down throughout. People were constantly trying to ride in the business class from coach and the attendant was having to send them back to coach. One time way up the attendant didn't pass out snacks and drinks, but on the way back he passed out snacks and drinks. It's a great way to get from LA to San Diego and around other Southern California areas. There is a cafe cart in the middle of the train you have to walk around and down some stairs, around a bunch of people and the moving train. We will take the train again because we don't have to sit in traffic and drive. There is coach and business class- I liked the roomy seating area and there are bathrooms at the end of the train cars.

With the many areas of Fashion Valley that is one area that will flood, and the many areas around will have the damage to show. 8th street was the one that took on the many blue lines and the many buses that were shipping people to the many areas of San Diego with the many areas of San Diego with the city making a declaration of Emergency there are many areas and the low-lying areas of have been flooded and the many houses and the trailer parks that have taken on heavy damage. The area of the 8th street Transit and Trolley took on the heavy job to take on the long night to ferry people up and down the line to the International Border and with the many that had to travel the Trolley stations with the many stations that had to take on. One of the greatest locations next to old town in san diego, which is a great town full of unique…read morehistory, stores, and food. The old town transit center is nice and provides free parking to use the trolleys, something so rare nowadays, and the trolleys themselves only cost about $2.50, which is also a price that can't be beat. One of my favorite things to do is utilize the transit to get to shows and venues like at the Gaslamp, the convention, or even Petco Park. Used it this weekend for survivor series, and it was such a lifesaver with parking, convenience, and easy access to get to the venue and back. I loved it, and I wish we had this exact smooth service in L.A.; ours sucks. There's no sugar coating that. L.A. needs to learn from San Diego and take notes.
