We hired him because he was 30/hr, so I guess that's all that needs to be said. First off, his electrician is a Mexican guy who doesn't speak English, until you dont like his work, and then he understands English perfectly. We asked him to fix our ceiling fan, so he ran the wire OUTSIDE the wall in a silver enclosure, the ones that are supposed to go INSIDE the wall. This was just right out in the open in the living room like it was an industrial warehouse. No only is this unsafe, but who does this? Second, we had him install an water filtration system. After three weeks of back and forth for parts, etc, it was finished. Going downstairs today to add an ice maker line, the pipes he installed MOVE. When I tried to unscrew one bolt, the WHOLE PIPE MOVED. Plumbing should be secure, its not a moving part. Coming from an HVAC family, I understand this. Jason is a nice guy and all, but he's not a good handyman or plumber. He cuts corners whether for his own savings or his ignorance. There were other things that went wrong, but you get the idea from these two. Either way, it was a disaster all around.

It first started with him being 15 min late to our initial appointment. He then called me at 2:15 and started bitching about the parking situation. This is Los Angeles! Besides my area isn't that bad for parking. I didn't really understand what the problem was. I basically had to find a spot for him. Anyone who does house calls in Los Angeles should have the common sense to know that parking is difficult in LA. He had my address for a several days, he knew where I lived. If he wasn't going to be able to handle the parking situation he should've told me. I've never had a contractor call me and say that they couldn't find parking. His work is messy. Every handyman I've hired usually cleans up their mess before leaving. He left dust and wood shavings in my bathroom, bedroom, and living room as well as his trash. He finished installing a light fixture in minutes and charged a fair and minimal fee. Super nice guy w/ a positive attitude and a plethora of tools and skills. Fast forward a few months and we needed him again to take care of some rather intricate pot-rack hanging. This guy is a perfectionist to say the least. He gave me several options to hang the rack and suggested a sturdy, trustworthy method that allowed us to hang 50 lbs worth of pots and pans from our drywall ceiling with no problems. Then he moved onto a butcher block in our kitchen and stripped the top of mold, dirt, dust and general ugliness. The thing looks brand spanking new and is now a charming (and more importantly, USEABLE) addition to our kitchen. Go ahead: Hire Robert to perform any electrical, plumbing, painting, demo work or landscape jobs and it will be money well spent! Super trustworthy, super fair pricing for his expert skills and a helluva nice guy. Plain and simple: Robert kicks BUTT! They are very professional and followed our instructions to the bone. They are knowledgeable, organized and clean. They pay attention to detail, protected our floors and furniture and cleaned as they finished each project. We've tried a couple different handymen in the past and I am happy I can finally stop looking for one. They treated my place with the same care that we give to it and it's rare to find people like that. The work they did for us included mounting a TV on the wall, hiding the cables in the wall and attaching furniture to the wall to make them more child and earthquake​ safe.
