They served both seafood and steaks but more seafood options. There also was a 3 and 4 course option for those hungry diners. We started with a single plate of fried squid that was a good size for us to share. Most were cut into French fry like sticks which was different presentation and then fried. All pieces weee dusted with paprika and came with a side of lemon mayo for dipping. Squid had a good chew to it and a good start off to our dinner. Mussels came in a huge pot, the largest serving to date. We ended up filling two bowls with shells. The wine broth was quite delicious and the bread was perfect for dipping and soaking up that goodness. The whole seabass was another well done dish covered in greens and easy to debone. The fish was light and tender. Service was attentive. A bread service per person was added to the check. Tiny restrooms were located next to the check in desk. The restaurant was quite busy by the time we left. We finished in less than the 2 hour time allotment noted in our reservation. Would revisit should we have the opportunity to return to Copenhagen.

I ordered the moules marinieres (mussels) and my fiance ordered the fish collar. The portions were large, as I didn't expect my moules to be such a large bowl. But honestly, not a complaint! Fries, salad, all entrees were delectable. No notes. Service was friendly and in Europe, definitely not fast paced like in USA. I didn't care as we had no urgency and on vacation. What a way to start off my European trip!

Best meal of our trip. Really enjoyed it. My wife booked Host because of its reviews and vegetarian…read moreoptions (for me). The restaurant's design is definitely minimalist with simple blank walls and a comfortable mix of fake and real plants. There was no air conditioning but they found a fan to keep us comfortable- we were amazed that more folks in the full restaurant weren't sweating the way we were. Perhaps the locals are more used to the summer heat with no AC than we were. We had the 3-course prefixe meal with my my wife and daughter on the standard menu while I was on the vegetarian track. The website says that Host is the Danish word for harvest, and that their focus is "on the Scandinavian kitchen with lots of surprises." The staff used the word "surprises" explicitly, using it to describe the amuse-bouches and palette-cleansing bites served between the advertised courses. We started with a flight of croquettes with cheese and I think my wife and daughter had something like a smoked fish hash of some sort while by I had a delightful bite of salad on a molded sweet cookie tart shell. The baby bread loaves with a special butter were lovely - how do you innovate butter? Great job. My first veggie entree was fried carrots with horseradish, which was grand. Next I had a barley risotto with amazing brown beech mushrooms on top. Awesome. There was a spot of potato soup in there somewhere and the best bite of the meal was another of the surprises - a pre-dessert mochi-like shell with strawberry powder on the outside and hazelnut ice cream (I think???) on the inside. The strawberry rhubarb dessert was excellent also. Such a great meal. Loved it.

Like truly, same app, mains, etc. Service was unfortunately just bad - we were served the wrong dish and then charged for the more expensive dish that we weren't even served, took us forever to order another drink or get anyone's attention. I don't blame the staff, they were definitely working across a lot, but after visiting two of this restaurant group's establishment, I could tell the owners of this restaurant systemically overwork their staff. I'd suggest if you are a true gastronomie fan, try to find a restaurant outside of this group! Not a bad restaurant, just feels a little fake if ya know what I mean.

Located near old town Christiana, two Michelin star restaurant Kadeau Copenhagen is an offshoot of an original location in Bornholm. Much of the food and produce for this menu still comes from Bornholm, grounding the New Nordic, seafood-focused menu in a sense of place. I typically prefer an evening reservation, but lunch is what fit into my schedule on this day and I can't imagine a more perfect timing to see the ethereal, artistic dining room in the natural sunlight. The dining room reminded me a bit of being inside Musée de l'Orangerie's Waterlilies exhibit: it's a truly meditative setup. The service from start to finish is truly unreal, and rivals three star restaurants I have been to. Every small touch is made for you to enjoy your experience. Shout out to one of the chefs who tipped off the other restaurant I was dining at on the same day, who greeted me and asked me about my experience at Kadeau when I arrived there. I came for the start of Growing Season in May 2025. For this meal, I chose the non-alcoholic pairing, which I could not possibly recommend enough. It was hands down, the most perfect flavor pairing for the food I have ever had and each new drink was more inventive and fun than the last. The sourcing from Bornholm really played well here, as a lot of similar ingredients from a dish became part of the drink (lot of plum notes when I went). I think my favorites were the Japanese Quince, Hemp, and Honey (which had just a light effervescence) or the Apple and Unfiltered Bee Pollen drink. But honestly, I would go and do this meal all over again for the unreal drink pairing alone. I do a lot of fine dining and always enjoy my meals, but Kadeau was one of the first meals where I felt like I did not have a single bad or even middling bite out of the 15 courses. I have dietary restrictions (no red meat), but few dishes really required substitution. Each new dish was light, flavorful, nuanced, and so so delicious. The shrimps tart with quince and ants was a bit more adventurous than what I normally go for, but ended up being one of my favorite bites. The hot and cold smoked salmon was a dish I'll remember forever and I loved hearing that the chef moved from Las Vegas to Copenhagen just to learn how to make that dish. The plum "soft serve" with plum oil, vinegar, schnapps/ caramel, was such a great example of how inventive they could be with truly all of the elements that build flavor. It was a once in a lifetime meal. This is certainly an expensive meal, but in a city with a lot of tasty meals to choose from, Kadeau is one to truly remember.

A foodie friend, who travels the world just to eat at Michelin restaurants, told me he enjoyed his experience here better than Noma. So I marked my calendar for the day summer reservations were released and got a seating. We had a lovely table by the window, where I could see some of the kitchen activity. The chefs all seemed so calm & professional, and the servers were outstanding. The set menu was incredible, and my husband did the wine pairing, which he really enjoyed. A lot of spectacular seafood. Stunning presentations and incredible attention to detail. Besides the food being unbelievable, it was such a fun experience!! We had a lot of questions, and our servers couldn't have been nicer! They brought out ingredients that we were unfamiliar with, so we could see them. They let us taste a fresh herb (not exciting) and then the dried version (amazing!) When we left, everyone was waiting for us and we got a wonderful photo. We will never forget this spectacular meal!
