I called Haase with very little time before the close on my house for a foundation wall rebuild and not only did they work me into their December schedule, they got the work done faster than anticipated. Josh Haase communicated with me throughout the process, checking in regularly so that I knew where they were in the process as well. The wall is beautiful and honestly, I wish I'd called and had his team out years ago. Competitive pricing and stellar product! Not only that, on the final day, I hired him to perform a foundation inspection on my new property and he was able to get that done and a full report out to me and my agent in a very quick turn around. Fast forward 10 days and the bank had questions - I added Josh to the email chain and he put those concerns to bed. Haase & Sons Construction did a superb job on restoring the walls in our garage which were seriously bowed with large gaps in the cement block. We worried that the garage walls would have to be torn down. The Haase crew started early each day and finished the job a day early. Everything went smoothly and they completed all of the work agreed upon. Most importantly, no damage was done and their estimate was very reasonable compared to other contractors in the area. This is a seasoned, efficient, hard working construction crew and we would highly recommend them to others. I will never recommend this company to anyone. Take your business somewhere else. We had a lift pump in our basement replaced by Hasse. About 6 months later we realized that the pump had not been working. We called Hasse and left a message informing them their pump was not functioning. Multiple phone calls were made trying to get them to come out and replace the pump and all were sent straight to voicemail. I was then called by my wife in the middle of the night when I was at work because our basement was flooding due to the bad pump not being replaced by Hasse following multiple phone calls. I was forced to leave my job in the middle of the night, go to a store and buy my own pump , go home to a flooded basement, and replace the pump myself. Hasse was then called and informed of the situation. He proceeded to no call no show when he said he would come out, and never reached out to us for days following. We had to call again to try to get him to come out which he said he would. He then was a no show AGAIN making a different excuse. When he FINALLY showed up he then proceeded to refuse to reimburse us the $400 we paid to have the non functioning pump installed. He said he would only reimburse the $265 I paid for the pump which I had to leave work in the middle of the night to install myself because our basement was flooding. We paid $400 to have a non functioning pump installed. Had our basement flood. I had to leave work to fix the problem myself because Hasse wouldn't answer the phone or show up, and couldn't even get our money reimbursed. There are too many frustrations to list, and we couldn't even get fairly compensated. read more

It started simple enough--we had some concerning cracks in two of our walls that were discovered after doing some organizing in our basement. Instead of ignoring it, I made some calls. I scheduled an appointment for Haase & Sons to come out at take a look. Josh (the owner) did some measurements and explained the situation. They were the type of cracks that needed repair. I did not have to do anything right away, but elected to regardless. I felt fortunate that the damage had not progressed to the point that outside excavation was needed. The appointed day arrived, and the crew arrived as scheduled. After quick introductions, they got to work setting everything up. I was happy to see that they put paper from my door all the way down the basement steps. After the work was completed, they cleaned everything up and spoke to me about the work that was done. I was given a folder with all my paperwork: the original estimate, the permit they pulled with the city, and a 20 year transferable structure warranty. In truth, I could not be more pleased with the work that was done. Purchased a 1920s home in Bayview that probably had water issues since 1940. Josh and his team installed interior drain tile around the entire basement with a new sump pump and exterior grading. I cannot say enough about how impressed I am with Josh. 6 years ago we purchased our home and the old owners had Haase & Sons Construction install some beams in the basement. Haase installed the beams and issued a 10 year warranty. We are now in the process of selling our house and the new buyers requested Haase & Sons Construction check the basement beams. The inspector was concerned the walls had moved further out of plumb. We called Josh and the very next day he came out. The beams are doing their job and nothing has changed since installation. Josh also took a look at some minor seepage (unrelated to beams) and it was a simple fix- we just needed to replace a drainpipe elbow which cost us all of $2.50. We are so thankful Josh honored the warranty and went above and beyond with his prompt, thorough and honest service. read more
