Paul was extremely helpful in explaining the process in laymen terms so I could understand. They were able to fit me in within a reasonable timeframe. The workers showed up on time and did a great job and cleaned everything up at the end of the day. Ran into a hiccup during the initial project which meant they had to come back and were able to fit me in the schedule within a week. Weather was on our side thank goodness. I contacted Accurate Basement Repair after my basement decided to spring a leak this spring. If I'm going to be honest, it's happened before, but not to the extent that it did this year. I've held off calling anyone out of fear of how expensive basement repairs can be and I was expecting the worst. Accurate was recommended to me by my mother and by another friend of mine. I called to schedule an estimate and the woman I spoke with was great. A few days later, John came out to my house to inspect my basement. He walked around and looked at everything inside and out. John recommended to do a drain tile test because although I had water coming in thru some cracks in the wall, I was not getting any water in the sump crock. He explained the process to me so I knew exactly what to expect. If you're curious on how respectful Accurate will be to your property, John did not want to cut into the carpet in my basement, he wanted to roll it back so it wasn't damaged.... I cut the carpet myself. Afterwards he would've tried to fix the carpet I cut if I hadn't told him not to bother. Our basement flooded out last fall. We had it mitigated and then put in a new (double) sump pump system, and hoped that come spring, all would be good. Well, a tiny storm about two weeks ago, had water in my basement again, and this time I called Accurate Basement Repair on the recommendation of a family member. I know absolutely nothing about foundation work; yet I was in dire need. I went to the NARI Home Show in Milwaukee...selected three companies to get an estimate from. A buyer's inspector for the same property had documented that the cost of repairs was $6000 so I thought I had a framework. Tony did an assessment of my basement after we noticed some water following a few heavy rainfalls. We knew there was an issue with the basement wall as we could see it bowing in. We had worked with another contractor on my in laws basement and they were always late and when they did show up, they would take all kinds of breaks and leave early. Recently, we had some support beams added to two walls of our basement. We had some movement on two sidewalls (punchouts I think they are called). Accurate came in and measured, gave us a fair price. They came and did the work in a matter of a day. They cleaned up the site before leaving. This was the second time I used Accurate. 8 years ago I had a wall movement in my basement on another wall. They were very professional for that job as well, which included outside excavation and recentering the wall. In this case I had several estimates. Bob from ABR did a wall inspection on my basement wall that appears to be pushed in near the top of the wall. I'm getting ready to sell my house and wanted fix this beforehand. Bob explained what was wrong and that I didn't need any structural support because it wasn't a structural issue, and why.
