I'm very sad to have to write this review, but after several years of problems and no resolution we felt it was necessary. My husband & I found Morici Brothers Concrete at the Home & Garden Show. In the summer of 2012 we hired them to put in a stamped concrete patio and gas firepit. We did our due diligence & went to the homes of other customers to see his work & it looked great (the houses we visited were family members of his). As soon as the work was complete our firepit was making a loud whistling sound. After several trials and error, he found out that the wrong tubing was used to install the gasline. Our newly laid stamped concrete had to be cut open and the tube had to be pulled out and replaced. The key for the firepit was also put in the ground (as opposed to in the side of the firepit) so it constantly fills up with rain and gunk and is very difficult to turn on. The following Spring 2013, just 9 months after the patio was poured, it started to crack and crumble off in several areas. They did come back to look at it and put a "patch" on the crack and resealed the patio. The patch has since cracked and crumbled and looks worse than it did in the first place. Spring 2014, the firepit bricks started to come off and the patio continued to crack and crumble in places. Morici did send someone over to look at and to replace the bricks around the firepit. The laborer cut slots into the bricks and cut through the 2nd layer (see photos). We are now in Summer 2015. The patio continues to crack and crumble and the top appears to be "peeling" off in certain areas. I have tried to contact Morici several times and sent him pictures but I get no reply. I can't tell you how disappointed we are. We truly liked the owner and thought he was a good guy but now my husband and I are left with a crappy looking patio and it will cost us twice as much to have it ripped up and re-done, money that we don't have right now. We thought we were paying extra for something amazing and it is nothing but junk. We are truly sick about it. read more

Do not hire this guy. Seriously. The other reviews will tell you that he is timely and responsive, that's probably because he spent all summer working on their jobs instead of finishing mine. Steve will not answer a phone call, he only texts, and his crew does very poor work. His finishing style looks like a sloppy mess and he calls it his speciality because it's fast and easy for his crew to get in and get out. After months of battling with him, he refused to come back and left me with an incomplete job and a hole in the middle of my patio. His quote was "I'm not coming back, why would I when I can spend my time making money instead of losing it." My concrete is also cracked through numerous blocks and this happened before the winter. In the process of his crew trying to fix that, they broke more. He also owes a lot of money to ozinga, do yourself a favor and look him up on court access before you even dial the number. Excuse after excuse after excuse is all he's good at. He will randomly show up when he's not supposed to then never come the days that he is. You'll be lucky to get a text 20 minutes after he was supposed to show up. A 3 day job turned into a 4 month affair of nonsense last year for me. Do yourself the favor and if you see this guy at the home and garden show or anywhere, don't even bother to call him at all. read more

Stay away! After much searching, we decided to go with Morici Bros. Concrete for our new colored and stamped concrete walkway. The people we met with were nice and their pricing seemed reasonable. Were we wrong on both! Even though our old front entryway had a step-up from the old slab to the door, they decided (on their own) to deviate from the plans and pour the concrete right up to the door. Now, when it snows, we can't open our front door at all to get out of the house. Worse yet, the rain flows from the stoop under our front screen door AND internal wood door all the time! I brought the potential problem to their attention right after they poured the concrete. They refused to redo the stoop and, instead, gave us $250 off our bill. Sadly, we've spent way more than $250 repairing damages caused by this glitch on their end. Within a couple of months the walkway started to crumble. Big chunks were coming off and every time we called the company, they said they would get right on it and never called us back. This has been 7 years now and, for the first 3 years, we were calling them every few months without a response. Then, their number was disconnected. My husband I then happened upon their booth 4 years after they did the work and, when confronted, they said that they were the parents of the owners and they would pass on our contact information. Again, nothing. (Yet, they still have a booth at the home and garden show every year.) Although the walkway was pretty when first completed, it has given my family nothing but problems. We were better off staying with the old gray cement slabs we had before - at least they were functional, strong, and never gave us other costly damages to fix. If you come across this company - run as fast as you can! There's a reason why they don't even have their physical mailing/visiting address on their website. (This is a 100% legitimate review. If you want proof, I'd be happy to scan our receipts and documents to anyone considering to use this horrible company. It is my goal to protect other consumers from having to go through what we continue to go through.) read more

Hello, Steve and his team replaced my front sidewalk and rear patio. He always showed up as stated and the project exceeded my expectations for a number of reasons. First he came in under budge, second although my patio was in my back yard there was virtually no yard repair as the were incredibly careful with there equipment. Please do not use this company. They took our down payment 10 months ago and still have not begun the job. Steve Morici is virtually non communicative and when he does communicate he lies and makes up excuses for not showing up. Please check out his Wisconsin CCAP record to see that this is habitual. Can I give half a star? What an absolute poor excuse for a contractor. We had to have his company return to our house 4....or was it 5...times to finish the job. Oh...and it's still terrible. Want the lowest price contractor with the lowest quality...you found him. We had to cancel a check on him to ensure he finished. His call to me when it was canceled..."It's causing bank issues, can you pay again soon? " Ummm...no...finish your job, then you can get paid like a good American. The stamping is of poor (terrible) quality and we had to have them reseal it within 1 month. They also had chipping on our front stoop days after pouring. The color is good. I guess that is something. Moving on...approximately 6 months later surprise surprise...we have a crack. He said his warranty doesn't cover cracks of this size. It's only as large as our expansion joint. I guess it's insignificant... The problem is that it's not a concrete issue. It's a workmanship issue. Either his employees didn't compact the foundation well enough or they didn't use enough gravel. We tried to handle this and move on, but he said he isn't fixing the problem and welcomed us to bring in our attorney for conversations. So...avoid this company unless you don't like your money or quality workmanship. read more

He is very responsive and on time. He only reschedules, if rained out. Once he starts the project, he finishes it without delays (like the other contractors we worked with). He stands behind his work and makes it right. He did our driveway and stamped front walkway with stairs first and a couple of years later he did our back patio and path to pur front porch. Both stamped and stained to match the front walkway. It looks beautiful. I highly recommend him. We have sone a lot of renovations on our house and he was by far the best contractor to works with, especially he starts on time and finishes it at once. read more

I was dismayed after reading the two other reviews on Yelp about Morici Bro. Concrete, as our experience was quite different. The owner and his workers were friendly, professional and efficient. They added an addition to our driveway and inserted a basketball pole in the cement, added a walkway alongside the garage, connecting the front driveway to the back patio, which they also did. The patio is stamped, stained and has a border, and the curving he added makes it SO much more interesting than our neighbor's nondescript rectangular slab. We love it...have spent more time entertaining out there these last weeks than we have since we moved in more than 2 yrs ago. As this is our first experience having concrete work done, I can't compare it to anything else, so I don't know if it was a 5 star experience. But Morici Bro. Concrete certainly gave us what we envisioned for our property, were very reasonably priced compared to other quotes we were given, and were wonderful to work with-so they earn more than 1, 2, or 3 stars, for sure. read more

In the of fall of 2015 we torn down our above ground pool and decided to replace it with a fire pit. In April we contacted Steve who meet with us several times to make a plan and give us a bid. We started the project in June and was completed by July 4. We are so pleased with the work that was done. The guys were extremely hard working and did a great job. We are very happy with the end results.( Its hard to believe there was ever a pool there). read more
