Oh well ... so going back to last July 2021 when I was actually here -- there are many unique and pretty clothing items as well as the household textiles. I ended up selecting a gift for my sister here. The staff were fairly helpful. They answered many of my questions about the clothing items I inspected. They didn't have wrapping available for my gift item which is a bit disappointing given the price range on the merchandise (although these are mostly imported items, made from good quality materials.) I suppose at Christmas it's less of an issue with mall wrapping service but this is the kind of place you would definitely check out for beautiful and unique gifts, hence the "4.5 rounded up to 5" rating. There are change rooms and the interior of the store is roomy, which make it a very pleasant shopping experience. Despite how long I spent admiring and inspecting all the items I was considering for a gift, I was never rushed or aggressively approached. I wish I could say I'd come back frequently! If I invested in this type of clothing more often, I would.

The staff are relaxed, in letting people browse and look at the cat. We took my son there after a terrible experience at Meow Cafe down the street. We were able to interact with Mabel the lovely tabby cat and we bought two great books plus a sticker book that was recommended by the staff and we love. They also have excellent stickers books. I was looking for specific books to complete my run. He was too concerned with bagging and boarding books at his counter. I asked what he had and what the prices of those books were but he would not tell me. Instead he said it would take him a while to finish doing what he was doing and that i should check "over there" to see the ones in his case. I would have liked to see what he had and if he really wanted to make a sale he would have showed me the key books he had right there at the cash. Not a friendly owner and the store is a mess. They have a very nice selection of ceramics, a crazy pipe collection, and overall well chosen home items. I ended up buying a nice striped apron. I asked the employees for help and they were super on the ball and not at all too cool to help me out, which is something I time happens a lot with trendy places in the area. However, I find that I am most often buying cards from here. Walk to the back, and there is a really stunning section of (Canadian made only?) greeting cards on a wall at the back. Really beautiful stuff and a rotating collection is much appreciated. When they have sales, I scoop up several at a time for toonies. Otherwise, it's the kind of place you could browse for hours, fully entertained. Or you might just walk in and buy the whole shop. Come to think of it, I haven't bought many things for myself here, but now I want to.
