Always great service and selection from a locally owned family business. I have been buying beautiful plants there for over 20 years.

I have several fond memories, especially when I…read morewas younger, of accompanying her to pick out the plants for her garden every spring from Rosie's. The business has always had a calming atmosphere with their setups of running fountains and planters at the forefront of the establishment. Heading deeper past the wide array of various sized planters, you can find almost any kind of plant you're looking for. They have both perrenials and stunning annual flowers as well as your classic hastas, ferns, and different kinds of shrubbery. Additionally they have hanging baskets that my mom and I always used to choose from for my grandmother as a present on Mother's Day. My personal favorites to look for that they have in are the different types of climbing vine plants they have such as clematis and candy corn plants. When I was old enough I received my own plot of my mom's garden to fill with my own plants, so of course we went to Rosie's, and we were able to find even some of the most obscure flowers that I wanted. My personal favorite that I was able to find was a mock orange bush. I can proudly say that my garden is thriving because of Rosie's care and devotion. The best part about Rosie's though, is that their plants are well taken care of. My mom and I have always gone to Rosie's because they give the plants a healthy start, ensuring that perrenials will last for years to come and annuals won't shrivel up and die the second you transplant them like flowers from Lowes. The icing on the cake is how welcoming and nice the staff are. They're always helpful in finding what you're looking for and helping to load heavy bags of potting soil or large plants. Overall, I think the word needs to get out more about Rosie's in the gardening community. They have won me over for life, and I would always recommend this place to friends that are interested in building their own garden.

Great selection and service albeit a little pricy. All of the plant that I bought there have done…read morewell.

Russell was very helpful. I was looking at gardening boots, but they didn't have my size. Russell called their other store and was able to offer some options. He was engaging and friendly. The store offers an array of grills, power tools, paints and general hardware supplies. The shelves are remarkably well organized and neat. Many shelves were empty as I assume they are preparing for spring inventory. Many items were on clearance including Yetis so there are some great deals. In the entry alcove is a fascinating history of the hardware store's evolution. The history dates back to at least 1889 when the store was located at 110 West Main Street in Carmel. The store has been owned by four families start with O. W. Nutt prior to 1889. Steve White bought the store in 1984 and built the current location on Rangeline Road in 1989. I love that someone took the time to capture the history. There's plenty of parking in their private lot. You can only enter or exit going north in Rangeline, but the roundabouts make going in the right direction easy.
