Here's the but. While donating several items recently we were disappointed with a volunteer's attitude towards us. Abrupt and not friendly. You could say this opinion is subjective, but I doubt many would disagree. We will not stop donating and shopping, and will give SVDP five stars despite the actions of one volunteer. If you're having a bad day, stay home.

I got to know the staff at the hospice and they are all such extraordinary people. While doing my job I got the chance to watch them doing their jobs. They genuinely care for the people who reside there. It's not just a job. Really, no one does this kind of work just for the paycheck. These are special people. When my time comes, I hope I find myself surrounded by people such as these.
