From the owner: Tax Deductible Donations for Individuals and Businesses…read more We exist to bring relief to people in desperate situations. We primarily focus on the most vulnerable—families with children, individuals with disabilities, and people experiencing homelessness—but we also have a heart for the most average person who is in need. 100% of people's donations go to caring for others. Our Director pays for all operating and administrative expenses for this organization to ensure that every dollar of others' generosity makes its way to those who truly need help. Charity Fund is a registered public charity based in Birmingham, Alabama. While we serve our local community, we have also helped individuals far beyond our immediate reach. We aim to make the most impactful and efficient use of our resources by doing many small things (like $10 impromptu meal cards for short-notice giving), moderate efforts (such as distributing dozens of meals in areas where homelessness is high), and occasionally larger efforts (assisting families with their living expenses or vehicle repairs) especially for those experiencing discrimination, oppression, or hate. If you know someone who is known for being generous and kind to others and is currently in need of a hand up, please let us know. We prefer to first consider those whom someone already has compassion for. It could be a friend or family member, someone you see on your way to work each morning, or someone you don't personally know but have heard about.

I did a quick Google search for disk drive data recovery around the Seattle area. Yes, big, but,…read moreit came up with a local company that I could drive the disk down and have them give it a go. After dropping it off, the ride when from there. It was a nice ride, web page login, disk information updated and your own personal Customer Service rep. Who does that anymore? Mitchell always answered my questions, even if they might have been already listed somewhere else, and even when out had a backup rep to take over. Great news on our disk drive, it as fully recoverable with a donor disk drive and they sent a pretty LaCie disk that looks like it should be on a race track. They even send the data encrypted in case (I assume) somebody intercepts the package. Nice feature. Thanks to all there for doing a great job, and thanks to Mitchell for answering all of my questions, stupid or not. Highly recommended, and if this comes up again or somebody asks I will be recommending this company. -Scott

I guess I assumed the laptop would last forever, or that when it started acting funny, we'd have time to copy the files somewhere else before it died. We were wrong. The laptop hard drive failed, and my own attempts with the recovery "home kits" didn't work. Because of my wife's tears, I finally decided to spend the money to seek professional help. The local computer repair shops who do data recovery said my hard drive was beyond their ability to recover. They recommended, as a last resort, checking with Secure Data Recovery. I am skeptical by nature. The website and online reviews seemed too good to be true. But my wife's despondency over losing our kids' baby pictures forced me into action. I will admit that it was with fear and trepidation that I contracted with Secure Data Recovery and sent them my busted hard drive. I was afraid that maybe this company is an elaborate hoax set up by a crook who's really good at web design. Dear reader, I am so glad to report that I was wrong. Secure Data Recovery is amazing. They recovered 100% of my files, and my wife is happy once again. Rob, my account executive, was so helpful, encouraging, timely, and professional from start to finish. The web interface made this process simple. Thank you, Secure Data Recovery, for quite possibly saving my marriage.
