The Shelter Options Shoppe is my go to spot for used clothing in Naples. It's a small store but…read morepacked with hidden gems. You can find everything from a cute everyday top to high end designer pieces that are perfect for special occasions. I went right after Thanksgiving and everything was 75% off, which was amazing. I spent about $120 on what would have been over $550 worth of clothes. If you enjoy thrifting and finding unique pieces, this place is absolutely worth a stop. Great selection, great deals, and you never know what treasure you'll find.

While shopping, I observed multiple staff members who were restocking merchandise openly discussing, in front of customers, how they were removing the "good" items from the sales floor to take to the back and set aside in personal piles for one another. This was spoken about loudly and casually, as if it were standard practice. While doing so, these same employees repeatedly stepped directly in front of me and physically pushed past me to access racks I was actively browsing. This occurred multiple times and created an uncomfortable and disrespectful situation. The combination of staff hoarding merchandise for personal use and physically disregarding customers reflects a serious lapse in professionalism and store oversight. Customers should not be displaced or made uncomfortable so that staff can reserve merchandise for themselves. This behavior undermines trust, fairness, and the integrity of the store's operations, and leadership should be made aware.

This shop is a trip! Literally. The aisles are narrow and you have to duck into an alcove so others…read morecan pass. They have a lot of stock -- not just the tees, but band tees, touristy stuff galore, flowing dresses and skirts -- all sorts of tie died and hippy style clothes (from my youth). In addition, in the very back is a caged area with a few small alligators --for the kids (and tourists) to marvel at. They do have a few tee shirts at a bargain price, but most things you will want to buy are about $25 and up. There were a few band shirts that would have been good Christmas gifts... but not at the prices listed. In any case, for those of us at a certain age, it's a nostalgia trip to smell the incense and walk through an homage to those head shops that used to dot every corner...

Hopefully the smell of the incense isn't too overpowering once you walk in. This place was a little…read moredifferent than your usual "4 for $10" shirt shop along the Overseas Highway/Route 1. It's got its own hippie vibe to it, and the aisles are quite narrow once you walk in, to the point that one could almost consider the place a fire hazard. There is also a small cage at the back of the store that has two baby alligators; you can hold one of them at your own risk & get a photo with one for the low low price of ten dollars. (No thanks.) The store also sells some classic vinyl records & some colorful cardboard ornamental displays (roosters, birds, etc.) of different sizes that can be purchased & then assembled in just moments. It was worth the trip just to get a photo of Joliet Jake & Elwood Blues.
