Typical thrift store that I'm used finding when shopping everything thrift. Not the best thrift store I've ever been to but not the worst either. They have just about anything you need if you're getting started on the cheap. Small appliances, dishware, artwork some fabrics, clothing, furniture, books, collectables, and more. I understand how many other customers have complained about the lady running the store. I can see how she might come off as brutish, but I greeted her and thanked her in Spanish and said have a nice day and she was very friendly with us. Nancy picked out a hat and Shawl for $2.50 each, not a bad deal. The store is not big by any means; however, they seem to be the hot spot in the area. I couldn't find any other second hand store open on a Tuesday, so they have a good thing going for them. One of the biggest issues I noticed is some items are way overpriced. I seen some of the artwork priced at $200+ which is way too much for customers who shop at thrift stores. I can't imagine any of this art will move anytime soon. it seems a little weird for me to leave a review on a thrift store as i obviously understand its mission and the issue was really not with the quality of anything at all, but whoever was working the register. Wow lol I don't typically encounter people so miserable that they decide to be rude and incompetent. Older lady at the register accuses me of trying to up the price on a $3 candle holder. Ma'am, we are at a thrift store, a candle holder that small shouldn't be more than $3 anyway, but i say yeah that's what the sticker says. and she says "seems awfully heavy for $3" km like okay so what would it be. this woman literally proceeds to put it off to the side and say "idk i can't price it" . So get off the register if you don't know what is even going on and refusing to even TRY to find a price. girl it's three dollars. i hope that lady finds happiness one day, her misery is contagious i had to leave as soon as possible lol. read more

Can there be negative star ratings so I can properly rate this place? To sum things up, they will let you donate already chewed bubble gum and then try to sell it back to the public for $5 or if you have a shirt your cat urinated on to donate, they will put it on the mannequin to showcase it as a premium item. However, offer them an extremely nice piece of furniture (real leather Natuzzi sectional sofa in great condition) and they treat you like you are offering them a raging case of syphilis. They could easily sell the sofa for a nice profit and support their mission, but would rather sell used undergarments $.25 at a time. The staff has no mental acuity and is rude at best while the 30 something manager of the place is the personification of a toxic Karen. Yes, it's that bad! How about trying to do the most good for people in need in the community. Steer clear of this place if you can, it will save you headaches and frustration. On another note, for cheap entertainment, drive beside this place on a Sunday afternoon and observe the processional of freeloaders digging through the bagged donations that didn't make it into the donations box. These people get the premium unprocessed donations and leave the store with diddly squat to sell to the public. A real joke this place, and an very unfunny one at that! read more

Unfair! We bought a sweater for a woman who was standing in line wearing a bra who said she was cold and They charged us a coat price when they should have just gave it to her for free! All the employees knew that she was homeless and standing in store shirtless in front of everyone. They only cared about the money and charged us a coat price instead of sweater price when thats what we bought her. I thought this was the Salvation Army for helping people in need.. Wow!!! Just ran into a homophobic cashier at the Salvation Army on Key West of all places. My partner and I walked in at 440 and he saw us muttered faggots under his breath looked at his watch and said they were closed. There were still people in the store and he started yelling at the top of his lungs this store is now closed! Bring your purchases to the front. When I asked him why they're closing early. Let me start by saying that I support the Salvation Army and its mission. My husband and I travel the country in our RV and have visited numerous stores along the way. I have never encountered a Salvation Army with as many issues as the one in Key West. The store was filthy; the clothing was not separated by style or size and was placed on racks with no rhyme or reason. While waiting in line to check out, I witnessed the cashier being handed several pills. Those pills were placed on top of the till. When the cashier rang up my sale, She turned the credit card machine towards her and placed her hand out for my credit card. She then ran the card and impatiently placed the receipt in the cash register without asking me to sign or giving me a receipt. I repeatedly asked her for a receipt, and she said no. I then raised my voice and said at least show me the receipt, and I will take a picture with my camera. She kept shaking her head no. My raised voice got the attention of the manager. She pushed the reprint button and handed me the receipt without comment or eye contact. read more

I've been to this location several times and while I love the Salvation Army locations in other cities I'm not a fan of this one. The store itself is a "ok size" but smaller compared to some locations. The problem isn't the size or location but two members (highest ranking) of the staff. One is a female (older lady with tattoo on shoulder) She is very rude. They often have things on carts at the front of the store (or even items on the shelf) they flat out "WONT SELL"! I would ask for a price for a item - example cd player on shelf by other electronics and she would say (in a very unpleasant tone) THATS NOT FOR SALE. Its like she was too lazy to check a price.... or holding the item for someone they know. There's a older male (little tall, heavy set grey hair) who seems to do all the pricing. Today I found a item that had two tags (one $2.99 and one $6.99) Both tags look legit - placed by staff and not restuck on, Understanding that something was off I asked the tall male what was the correct price and he went right into a lecture about how pealing off tags was something against the law and said "I could go to jail for it". I told him I was upfront and approached him and asked if there was anything he could do since it had two tags and he quickly pealed off the lower priced tag and said this one was already marked down ($6.99) since it was damaged and they normally go for $9.99. The funny thing was there was a similar item on the table for $7.99 that was not damaged... he was just making it up as he went along. I really dislike being accused of changing tags, they can watch the video tape and see I did no such thing. HATE this place. SUPER POOR SERVICE! It would be a great store but they need to fire those two staff members. read more

I love the stuff I find here, they do a great job! I come here every time I'm in town.

Though listed as an office, there is a store at this location. I wouldn't make a special trip to visit as the items are on the low-end side of quality but Wednesday is half-off day and I wound up with a pair of jeans, a dress, a polo shirt and a Chico's belt all for $6.50. I returned another day and bought a Natuzzi leather/steel magazine rack for $4. If you like the thrill of the hunt, give it a go. read more
