The business there is a restaurant that is only open for dinner and we there around 11. Unfortunately, a number of the items our group was interested were not for sale. The yard decorations and wind chimes outside are not for sale. They did indicate that they get alot of inquiries about them. Which kinda makes it amazing that they don't sell then. Hope House is a small house with different goods in different rooms by type. Clothing, housewares, tools, art, etc. I bought a necklace and a puzzle for $6 plus tax. The proceeds all go towards missionary work. The ladies working there were very nice.

This shop seems to have limited hours so I've been following them on Facebook to see when they are open. Today was the day I've been waiting for and oh my, it was well worth the wait. Cute, creative, amazing variety of products well displayed. There are several small rooms packed with merchandise you don't typically see in your regular retail shops. I revisited several of the rooms and each time discovered something new. I gained permission to take pictures so everyone could get a better idea about what is available here. Today they had fresh roasted peanuts that I'm sure was a big hit. Also, customers bringing in at least 2 cans of food today to be donated to the local food pantry received a 20% discount on purchases. So, not only does this business offer a great shopping experience they care about their local community as well. I'm looking forward to returning and taking friends there to shop.

This place is a little ways away from most of "the action", has plentiful on-site parking, and combines coffee shop + bakery + general store in one location. The store is relatively new to West Jefferson and opened within the last few years. It's family owned and operated, and the staff members who were working on the day of my visit could not have been lovelier. The only reason I'm not giving this place five stars is because I felt like the selection of merchandise in the general store was not as eclectic as most general stores I've visited. The majority of the merchandise either fell into what felt like a "live, laugh, love" version of a feminine / children's esthetic, or was downstairs in a section literally called "the man cave". With so many amazing local merchants and artists throughout the West Jefferson community, it would have been nice to see a few more options that fell between these two groups and were maybe a bit more neutral. While I very much enjoyed exploring the store and looking through everything, when it came time to actually purchase something for myself or to use as a gift, I really couldn't settle on anything that would be a good fit.
