There's a really sweet woman named Jen who always greets and has a smile for everyone coming in the door. I've never had a bad experience at this store, until today. Sunday, August 10, 2025. I found an Atari flashback 4 and Jen helped me by allowing me to open the used item to make sure the power cord was in the box. I was still on the fence about buying it because of the price at $31. I decided to stand off to the side and look up a few videos (muted) to see if the preloaded games were something i'd like to play. Out of nowhere an older woman came up to me and got in my face. I was a bit startled and I realized she must be an employee. Turns out she was the Manager. I'm 51 years old and this woman berated me like a 3 year old in front of other customers and employees. She said angrily that I was not allowed to look up items while in the store. I was kind of shocked she spoke to me in this way and I thought it was a joke at first. Then she started to grab for the item and said she would put it back on the shelf. At this point I was trying to keep it together. I had done nothing to be treated that way. I have always looked up items while in this store and never been accosted like that. I told her that I would stop looking on my phone, but I was keeping the item. She was pissed I didn't give it to her. She walked away in a huff to the back room. I had other items in my hand as well totaling over $40 and I was about 2 min away from making the purchase before she got in my face. After that insane treatment I walked up to Jen and told her what happened and said I won't be buying these items after all. Jen was very nice and apologized for the way I was treated. I will be back and I will always look up items. If that woman talks to me like that again I will just ignore her. Very rude manager!

The owner greeted me with a smile and was very nice to chat with about her store and her exciting business plans as she has just recently opened and is a first time business owner. The store has awesome selections, there is second hand, and some brand new choices as well. Roses are Blue has definitely been keeping up with the fashion trends and have great selections like Y2K or 90s fashion as well. Unlike the other review I have seen on Google, there is clothing for all sizes, it was in either the new/Unused, or consignment racks, and the owner even talked about getting plus sizes in the future. I definitely think this business is very inclusive and is a great addition to our Historical Downtown Area. I overall had a great time shopping here and I am super excited to go shop again soon.
