Worth semi regular stops. I have gotten some great stuff here as I've been fixing up my house. I'm still a fan but I have noticed that prices have increased and more and more space has been devoted to couches. It caters to TC folks so that all makes sense. I would give zero if I could. I bought multiple furniture items at this store and every single one of them is either has broken and I had to some how fix it or have struggle with it, like trying to close the dang drawers! Even the chair I bought from here was falling apart. The prices were way over priced, but since I moved into a new place and needed furnitures fast, bought their stuff after looking at other places for things. And when I called to see if they could come and pick up some donation stuff, first the man who answered the phone said he could do it this Saturday and said it would cost me $20. I told him I needed to check another place to first then I may call him back. I called few other places, then within minutes, called him back. I could tell someone had gossipped about me right before I called him back. I won't go into how I know. This same man who told me he could send a vehicle to pick up my donation this Saturday, now he told me all the spots been "filled." He refused to send a vehicle to pick up donation stuff from me. So, this store can sell me bunch of crap at high prices, but refuse to take my stuff just because someone decided to gossip about me, the customer?! I think most of the stuff they have are items people just don't want to throw out and spend money for city to pick it up as trash. I'll tell you, if I can help it, I will never spend money at this place! Save your money. read more

Pretty much just about everything could improve. It used to be that charitable donations would be priced appropriately to recuperate some sort of profit for this nonprofit business. Unfortunately things have changed in this new day and age. Things in there are drastically overpriced, which is strange you could buy the same item brand new and a big box store for almost $100 less when it comes to faucets and plumbing. Just to put things in perspective I bought four of the exact same item as I was carrying one item of the set over to the counter for purchase. It was obviously improperly repair on site and non-functional. I tried to talk to the manager to reduce the cost seeing as how I was going to have to repair the item. They were Completely unreasonable and had absolutely no wiggle room for a broken product to be sold at full price. I would avoid this place. It's unfortunate. We don't have Odoms anymore. I'm not even quite sure if their profit is actually funded to happen for humanity and how many houses they actually build per year. Terrible Location shitty employees bad service. Absolutely no respect for the customer whatsoever. The only thing that I could say, that would even be a positive was the guy actually carry the stuff out to my truck outback and help me load it. Bought a nice piece of furniture there.. Next day went to pick it up and the women who were getting ready to load it, picked it up wrong and broke it in several places. Donna the manager on her little power trip and who has the personality of a cardboard cut out, blew it off acting like it was no big deal..acting like we have the audacity to be upset. I've been going there for years and it's just gone downhill towards greedy. The way of good will. Selling new stuff, and then used stuff for prices that are too high. This a review for the restore. It's at the same location but you access it from Barlow St. There was an interesting assortment of odds and ends. A few sofas and chairs, bedframes, headboards. Aside from the expected housewares, there were books, sunglasses etc. I got a food/veg steamer and some books. If you are into diy or refurbishing this is your place. They(the habitat restore), along with Odom's, are mentioned in this months Tcbn. So, there's that. Dismal. Things are overpriced given how disorganized and poor quality all the merchandise is. I get that they're trying to make money for housing projects, but how can I give them money for crap I can get for the same price and new at Home Depot or the at a thrift shop for that matter? What a scam. Beat-up and warped twin bed frames for $25 each. Amazon had new ones on sale for $28 shipped right to my door. When I tried to bargain after calling them out as I showed them the add on the phone the staff became very rude. I suppose they weren't too happy as the other patrons snickered while muttering in agreement under their breath. Can anyone say "Rip-off"? read more
