When I pulled up to the storefront, he came out with a two-wheel dolly and we loaded it on and he rolled it into the shop. He is a very personable guy and as I was leaving, a lady came in and asked if she could drop off some books. He immediately offered to carry the books in from her vehicle and she was ecstatic. That's the type of person that all businesses need and he should be promoted to some sort of training position to instill his spirit into other staffers.

I contacted Saper back in December of 2025, to inquire about their framing process and to figure…read moreout a rough project timeline. I had several similar projects completed in the past in another state, but Saper was unknown to me then. Specifically, I had one large piece of film memorabilia which needed some minor restorative work, and three additional autographed photos which needed custom framing and matting. Four projects in total. I called first and spoke to Jennifer, who gave me some history about the business, which was established 47 years ago, and their philosophy as it pertains to preservation. Jennifer assured me that they use only archival-quality, non-destructive materials and processes to ensure the best possible results. Additionally, I wrote an e-mail and received a detailed, friendly response from Roy Saper almost immediately. I wasn't able to bring everything in until mid-January of 2026 because of some medical issues I'd been having, but once I was able to meet Jennifer in-person she was able to help me to make informed decisions about colors, framing materials, and types of glass. The price I was given was fair and reasonable, and I was told that the projects should take about six weeks to complete, because they were still backlogged after the holidays, which is understandable. I did have one minor thing about the size of the matting that needed to be changed a day later, so I wrote another e-mail and once again received a very prompt and professional acknowledgement. Then, sure enough, six weeks later, I received an email letting me know that the projects were completed! I had some concerns about physically transporting them, however, so I called in to ask about what types of packing materials I should bring. Roy answered, and kind soul that he is, he offered to personally deliver the completed projects, which I graciously accepted. He wrapped all four projects with such love and care, and brought them to my house that very evening. When I unwrapped them, I was delighted to find that everything looked amazing! Jennifer was the one who completed the restoration of the one larger item, and she did a fantastic job. Meanwhile, Nathalie was the one who crafted the three custom frames for my smaller 8x10 autographed photos, and likewise did a splendid job. Every detail was perfect, with an artisan's touch and a clear mind for historical preservation. I could not be any happier with the end results, and I will not only sing their praises forevermore, I will also continue to bring al of my future business there. We contacted Abraham's because we thought it had been an established business in the area and had good feedback. So wrong!!! An elderly man and his son showed up to pick up our clock. They carried it out to their van -- nothing any more professional than we could have done, but they charged us for the pickup. I had spent some time explaining that I thought I had over-wound the clock and wanted it repaired to working order. The old man quoted $300 for pickup and extra for repair. A few weeks later they called and said we could pick it up! We carried it out to our SUV, not any differently than in their van. He wouldn't give us the clock back until we paid another few hundred dollars. The "repairs" consisted of them totally destroying my clock! This had been a gift from my son and was important to me. They cut a hole in the back and replaced the original clock works with a battery operated clock face! This did not "repair" my precious clock! It's just another battery operated clock now, The pendulum no longer works and the sound of the chime is totally mechanized. To top it off, he also refused to return the key to the clock! Said he had so many that he didn't know where it was. I cried all the way home. It breaks my heart every time I look at it or hear it "chime". I have another grandfather clock that had belonged to my dad, but I definitely WILL NOT call Abraham's again.
