When we were there the egrets were nesting and raising their babies. There is a gravel path around the pond that only takes about15 min to walk around. There is a covered shelter for gathering f under and sharing a little picnic lunch At the one end there are numerous bat boxes and at the other end there are swallow(?) gourd homes. There are also numerous benches around the pond, and volunteers to answer your questions. We made a quick stop here, before heading to the beach.
