If you're planing to come to Ensenada you'll find this location on your way right after you'll pass the scenic highway last toll located in El Sauzal. This place it was a mechanic's shop at one point and it was converted to a restaurant with an industrial look. It has an open concept so speck to see flies hovering around while your dining stay in the due season of course. Let me go ahead and introduce myself, I'm Mr. Chilaquiles and I know chilaquiles like few others do. Now that you know my name, let me tell you about this fantastic hidden gem in Ensenada. We were introduced to this restaurant a couple of years again and haven't stopped come back time after time, I just wish it was closer to home. Decor-amazing interior with tons of tables. It's an open air dining experience with lots of umbrellas for shade, they even have a playground for the kids. It's clean and has an hacienda look that's very inviting. Service-service is second to none, I mean they really take excellent care for you. Always a pleasant experience with staff. Food-decor and service are great but real awesomeness comes from the food. As you sir they give you a bean sope which is very good and gets your tummy warmed up and excited for food. The juice is freshly squeezed and perfect. Café de la olla is amazing and my all time favorite. Chilaquiles are spectacular and they have 8 different types. I've had 5 types and they are all great. Chipotle and Poblano are my 2 favorite. They serve them beans and roasted potatoes. Everything I've tried here has been great, the bagel sandwich, huevos rancheros, and even the yogurt and fruit are awesome. Very nice spot. Beautiful patio good margaritas had blue cheese salad Cesar salad and buffalo wing. Best wings in Ensenada so far. Just wish the served them with blue cheese dressing instead of ranch. I asked thought I could get the blue cheese dressing because I had a blue cheese salad. This is a great spot not only for the food but they have a ice play area for kids. After being treated to some seriously tasty authentic Mexican food. We were able to have our little guy burn off his food in the playground. The service is spectacular and they were so accommodating, definitely one of the top places to eat in Ensenada. Directions were tricky from Apple maps, but the place is actually easier to find if you just look for the restaurant next to the Pemex gas station. read more

My parents just recently moved to El Sauzal, while waiting for the movers to bring their belongings they have gone out and tried multiple restaurants in the area. So far Hacienda Corralito is their favorite restaurant, reasonable prices, great portions. I have been here multiple times to eat here for breakfast and it's very good. But my visit here to el corralito for breakfast was a bit disappointing. The serves was ok this time not like other times. They gave me hot chocolate and it was not hot chocolate. It was a bit cold but not hot. I asked for another one and I got it hot. The sopes are really good and the flour they make for the sopes are hand made fresh everyday which I love about them. The salsas they gave us were good, a bit spicy but had a good taste. The Chilaquiles I ordered with salsa verde were really good and topped with purple onions just gives it more flavor and the cream. The beans very taste and love the fact they have the beans on a chip dip. The potato's were not good as I expected, they serve mind cold and I did not enjoy them. I'm more disappointed with the meat they have me because they usually let me change my meat but now they said I can't and have to have it with machaca but it was good but for preference, I would of enjoy it more with a ribeye or cecina. We stopped in on New Year's Day unexpectedly, due to our favorite spot being closed. Very rustic and comfortable with great garden atmosphere. It's a really cute place. Pretty big and has a kids playground. It's an outside restaurant type so be expecting butterflies, bees and yes also flies, lots of it. However, the food was great. This place is unbelieveably delicious! Perfect place for breakfast and brunch. Every single time we come to Ensenada, we brunch there and leave very pleased. Food tastes so so darn good, coffee de olla is the bomb, and portions are pretty "Denny's like" maybe can split between two people. Price range is approximately $8.00 including coffee (U.S Dollar is worth $18 pesos now). The way these guys decorate your plate is way too fancy and trust me YOU WILL GO BACK! The flavor of their food is one of the best I have tried in baja. These guys totally deserve all the props. Customer service is pretty good they also got a playground for the little ones. Finally stopped here on our way out of Ensenada. A friend said the food was good. He had worked there. It is unpretentious from the outside. Looks rustic but when you walk in, you've seen fotos, I was pleasantly surprised. There is an area indoors with a playground. Indoor outdoor feel. I had the pollo with espinacas. D'lish!! This restaurant was recommended to us by our Airbnb host Peter, and we tried it on our first morning in El Sauzal. When you first walk in you are greeted warmly by staff.
