Just a tiny little taqueria in the back of the market, but the fresh made queso barria tacos were yummy . I would definitely go back . It's a butcher and Mexican market in fron fresh made food and chicharones in back !!! read more

The food is delicious and we typically order to-go which is ready relatively quickly. My only complaint is that they got our order wrong last time so either they gave us 2 of the wrong plates (husband and I ordered the same thing) or they have a menu item mislabeled. That being said what we got was similar to what we ordered and delicious. While I wish I had gotten what I ordered I don't regret eating what they sent us. The carne asada is that good. read more

This place is so good it has stood the test of time in Benton City (which is a hard place to keep a business running!). The service here is so courteous and almost always seem to get our orders correct, even when my parents order strange vegetarian entrees. I usually order the fajitas, and always have enough leftover for a meal and a half afterward. Their burritos are good too. The food is authentic, they don't take long even if they get super busy sometimes on the weekends, and their to-go orders always include a big bag of fresh chips. I have never had a bad meal here. I think one of my faves is the seafood burrito- soooo good! Sometimes I'll do take out and I like to buy a 16 or 32 oz size of salsa. They mix the mild with the hot for me and it turns out just the way I like it. The staff are always very friendly. read more

First time in, came with my family ordered the carne asada special that comes with beans rice, carne asada and green onions. Upon receiving my plate I only received one tiny little green onion, so I asked for a few more. Received my bill and noticed an "open food" charge for $3, out of curiosity I asked what the charge was for and was told "it was for the green onions because they're expensive" I think $1 an onion is a little ridiculous. I was pretty much charged for 3 and 1/2 pounds of green onions ????? Needless to say I'll take my business else where. read more

(Edited review) Unfortunately, the foid and the help has changed abd it is NOTHING like it used to be. No sauce on my enchiladas, slow servuce, and my families food was terrible. We won't go back. :( This is the best Mexican food EVER. This place did it right. They have it decorated very pretty. The plates of food are huge and so are the drinks. I cannot believe this place has any reviews of over 1 star. We are from the southwest and this place is only one rung above Taco Bell, but a hell of a lot more expensive than the Bell. Our service was slow and the server was rude as hell. Must have been because my wife and I are white. I will never frequent this hole again. read more

Customer service was awful tonight, rude employee when I offered to get a refill on a drink as I was holding the cup to him.. decided to walk away cleaning off the table went ahead and grabbed menus and sat down other customers... horrible! Food was 8/10. Work on your hospitality. read more

After a long day on the road we decided to spend the night in Benton City, then swing by a couple of wineries on the way home. By the time we got to our accommodations, we were starving so we decided to give Hacienda Del Sol a try. It was getting close to 8 pm but it shows that they are open til 9. The place received 4.5 stars on yelp so we thought we had a winner. ( I am going to write a lot, if you just want the short of it.....stay away, this place has average food, and horrible service, and hands down the worst margaritas (I mean aside from the chips and salsa, what else at a mexican restaurant should be amazing?!) When we showed up, there was one couple in the restaurant and a couple of employees putting together utensil packs. Basically, it seemed like a place that was about to close. We asked if they were still open, yes they were, and the Boise State Game was on so we were in. I ordered a large beer, my wife ordered a their "premium" margarita and then we ordered our food. We received the beer, it was as advertised, large frosty glass. The Margarita was definitely from a mix, maybe it had tequila but you couldn't taste it over the sugar, and garnished with two large olives and lime. It was absolutely horrible, unless you like to drink super sweet lime flavored syrup, then it was good. The waitress tried to fix it by adding water, not good, it was worse. Anyways, dinner, it was ok, like it was decent chain restaurant food, we would have gone away happy if it was combined with marginal service. Not go back to that restaurant happy but happy like we didn't get ripped off. That is when we found out they had decided to close at 8, now we knew this because they were literally shutting down the place around us, including shutting off all the TV (Boise State Game!), music (you don't realize it until it is off), sweeping, stacking seats etc. Very uncomfortable, I really really wished they would have just said they were closing soon and did not have the mental capacity to handle anymore customers, not like there were any in there, but then again we all have had those days. I am guessing there are some fantastic Mexican restaurants in this area, this isn't one of them. read more

Really good food for Benton City! Especially how the city counsel is so controlling on keeping big names out of our town. (Like when they sold both properties green to go was looking at for a dispensary here), or kept subway out of town because they don't like big chains. I hope Hacienda does well and stays open here, because you are trapped in Benton City and those in charge don't want anyone to eat. read more

Bacon wrapped crab stuffed shrimp in cream sauce is superb. Have eaten here about five times and always excellent. Drinks were somewhat weak, but would come back again and again. read more
