Let me start off by saying that I have never been disappointed with El Agave. Until today. We ordered off of GrubHub recently. One of the things we ordered was a Parrillada. Seafood mix cooked in a garlic sauce. Turns out they do not have this nor do they even make it at this location. Why even have it on the menu if you do not even make it?!! So we received a phone call from the restaurant telling us to cancel the whole order. We could have easily just received what they did have from our order, and received a refund for the parrillada. But instead they told us to cancel the whole order and order again. Wasting both ours and our grubhub drivers time. We will now think twice about ordering from El Agave from now on. read more

AVOID!!! The Worst!! Vomited all the food back up shortly after leaving with an upset stomach. Tortilla soup tasted like dish water with boiled chicken sent it back and they refused to remove it from the bill. Decided on a whim to stop here and have dinner before heading back to Yakima, WA. Let me tell ya it was so worth it. We were seated immediately, they give you your own pitcher of ice water, and of course chips and salsa. My husband got the chicken fajitas, the chicken was grilled perfect and very well seasoned the onions where a perfect translucent but yet still had crunch. I had the Chicken al cilantro, omg the level of flavor was amazing, the rice is nice a soft but not mushy, and the refried beans where on another level. I had limited expectations as I come from the South and grew up on TexMex. I have been in the PNW for 11 years and today is the first time I found a place that feels like home! We saw the Yelp reviews & thought we would give it a try. It met those expectations & more. Husband had the Camerones El Agave which was flavorful shrimp, Mushrooms & pico de gallo in a sauce. His was the best dish of the night bit mine was no slouch. i had the Steak Tapatio which was amazing. Additionally we both had Margaritas & they poured with a heavy hand. The portions were huge to the point, Hubby ate part of my dinner. Service was great as they checked in but didn't hover. Next time we are in the area, we will be back! read more

My husband and I try Mexican restaurants in what I would call a fair way. When we are new to a restaurant we always order the same meal. That is a Seafood Chimichunga. We also ask for bean dip with the chips that are served. This day we were greeted at the door with the host holding the door open for my husband who was using his walker and myself. We ask for a table and he leads us to a wonderful spot. The waitress is there within seconds with the best crispy tortilla chips nice, fresh, and super warm. We ask for bean dip and it is brought immediately. We look at the menu but before she can retreat we tell her we both want their Seafood Chimichunga. We also each order a Pacifica draft which are brought to our tables promptly in nice frosty glasses. The meal comes in a timely manner and we both proceed to eat. I do not say this lightly, but it is absolutely the best we have ever eaten. We have traveled through the continental United States, but no Mexican restaurant we have ever been in compares with E Agave in Richland. The food was outstanding and the service was exceptional. We live about a mile away and it is now our go to spot for a Mexican sit down meal. read more

They were quick to take our drink order and get us chips and salsa...and boy their salsa was awesome! We didn't wait long for our food and it came out hot and delicious! We all loved our food! The food portion sizes are very generous, and the spices used to prepare the meal were very well balanced to provide excellent flavors. My wife and I both couldn't eat the whole meal and we both asked for boxes and had a second meal at home. The service was perfect.
