I seem to always review places on vacation, but forget to write about our hometown favorites. Hacienda El Asadero has been part of our community for several years. The restaurant is warm and welcoming, traditionally decorated, and they have the friendliest staff. They have incredible food. It's always on point. One of my personal favorite dishes is their Taquitos Mexicanos, but I recently tried their quesabirria tacos and they were delicious. This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Washington, in my opinion. Their salsa tastes great and every entree I have had here is delicious. Our waiter was so nice and our order was perfect! My mom had a taco salad and I got a beef enchilada with cheese sauce off the lunch menu. The space is small - it used to be a laundry mat, but they have it decorated like most Mexican restaurants you will find in the US. Lots of nice, natural lighting and a great spot for lunch, especially on Wednesday when other similar establishments are closed that day. read more

I ordered a kids chicken quesadilla and when it came first of all it was a adults and the bottom of it was really soggy and greasy as you can see in the picture below and the rice had soooo many veggies I mean I get if the rice has some veggies but that much is just crazy and they charged us with so many extra things so price wise terrible but the chips and queso was really good so that gave it two stars and if you pay with cash you need to make sure you say to take off the noncash pay because that Is $1.59 and if you don't tell them they will make you pay read more

Just moved here and went to TSC for a couple things and decided to have a little Mexican for lunch. DO NOT GO! For starters the condiments on table were over 2 years past expiration dates. Waited 15 minutes to get us a drink. When our meals came they looked good but tasted HORRENDOUS! Red rice!?? I MEAN BRIGHT ORANGE-RED RICEThe chicken tasted a year old. We all took a bite and went to pay. Authentic Mexican Restaurant We were a group of 12 wanting to set together, and they happily provided for us. When our meals started arriving, there was no delay. The food was tasted great and the service was commendable. The staff were very friendly and the cleanliness was impeccable. Anyone traveling thru Orange County Indiana, and looking for a good place to dine, you should consider dining here. I would enjoy going back myself. read more

Ate here for first time 12-15-2020. The food was excellent From the chips and salsa and white cheese to the shrimp fajita taco salad that I ordered. The shrimp fajita taco salad was hhge and had 10 large shrimp in it plus I ordered it with a little beef for flavoring. It was the best taco salad I've EVER eaten and the shell was crispy and warm. I would've given the restaurant five stars but it was somewhat cold in the restaurant. Staff was very nice and efficient. read more

You might overlook this restaurant based on its plain appearance from the street but that would be a huge mistake since the food and service inside are both excellent. We ate here twice recently when visiting family and both times the food was delicious, and left us looking forward to returning another time since they have a large menu. One of our visits was at the start of lent so we all had items from the vegetarian section of the menu. On our first visit, our party tried the mushroom quesadilla, chicken with rice, steak with rice and the vegetarian burrito. Second visit was on a Friday during lent so our party tried the vegetarian burrito, cheese enchiladas and cheese quesadilla. The chips and salsa are also excellent, we had a couple of bowls each visit. Highly recommended and will visit again next time we are in the area for more great Mexican food. read more

Glad that we stopped in today. We have in the past always eaten at the other Mexican restaurant when we've been in town. We travel for work, which brings us to the area occasionally. This was the best Mexican that we've had east of the Mississippi. The flavors were awesome! I had the Carnitas Uruapan, and my husband had the Molcajeta Verde. Both were excellent. Great consistent restaurant with strong margaritas! There is a mostly Tex-mex but you can find authentic items on the menu as well. This is a go to place in Washington. read more
