If you want to feel like time has slowed down and relax this place is it! Location is beautiful and the staff is very welcoming and friendly. Went with my husband and 3 children's ages 4, 15 and 18. Our room was up a private stairway next to the dining room, once you opened the door there is a small foyer and doors to two bedrooms one with a queen bed and the other with two full beds and the other door to the bathroom with a nice sized shower. These are not your typical modern state of the art hotel rooms, this will take you back in time, it's almost like staying in a cabin, wood walls and floors and the old style windows. They do have a/c- the bathroom does not but you crack a window open and the fresh mountain breeze comes in. Everything was very clean. They have a restaurant that serves delicious food- their mofongo is chefs kiss. They have a little bar by the balcony that overlooks the mountains and has rocking chairs, big chunks of my day were spent rocking, staring at the mountains and talking to people and the staff who were all just so nice. There are two pools to enjoy when you get back from being out and about in Jayuya. Overall it was a pleasurable and relaxing experience. Bring your insect repellent because the mosquitoes and gnats are no joke. Be ready for breathtaking views and being lulled and mesmerized by the songs of the coquis in the evenings. read more
