My 1,150 review is one for the books! Life this summer has been super fun and impromptu. When I…read moretell you I manifested this life, I really did. I'm a firm believer in doing right by people, loving people with all that you got, being faithful and giving them the best version of you even if they don't return it. Because when you do, it all comes back to you. Maybe not in the form of that person, but it comes back ten fold! Let people choose their ego, their ways, and their own actions become their greatest regret. When you're pure, things ALWAYS work in your favor. I am super grateful to have found the most beautiful human ever six months ago! I don't know how long he will be in my life but I'm keeping him as long as I can! He's amazing! My girlfriends say I tell all the boys that they're beautiful but he really is. He is the bougie one between us. We stayed 4 nights 5 days here at the beautiful Dorado Beach Ritz Carlton Reserve. Let's talk about the Yelp glitch. I checked in everyday only to realize it was the wrong place so beware. There is Ritz Carlton on the app but it's not this one. I think Dorado Beach at the beginning of the name throws this off. Anyway, on to this beautiful resort. If you have 2k a night to spare (for a regular room) definitely book here. Yes, two thousand dollars a night is what this beautiful resort is going for and it's worth every single penny! The younger members of our group didn't appreciate this hotel but I did! There is only a select few who can afford this place and well, I love to network so this was perfection! We met so many other couples. The families complaint was it was for couples and old people. They wanted more action so if you have younger family traveling with you this may not be the place. Honeymoon, yes! Anniversary, yes! Girls trip, yes! Couples getaway, yes! ENGAGEMENT, YES! Room: There is so much to love about this resort, let's talk about the rooms. OMG! I can't express how magical it was! I've been to quite a few resorts at 5 star hotels this summer but I can tell you this place was a little more special because it's on the beach and the plunge in the room makes it perfect for night time! ROMANTIC! I'd say this is probably the best room but also the most expensive one we've stayed at this summer. He spares no cost when it comes to me and I feel like a princess! So if you want princess treatment, this is it! Spa: Elaine was wonderful, she was my masseuse. The SPA is UNMATCHED! It's huge and it's tranquillizing. If you're balling on a budget at the very least try this spa out if you cannot afford to stay here. You will NOT regret it! They have a tree house that you can get a massage at! I opted for a traditional room, still so calm and comfortable! It smells so good! Staff: Most staff were nice but I'd honestly say they could have been nicer. These people are spending money so complaints were coming. If you're going to charge 2k a night everything should be perfect! I could totally get why the employees might be the way some of them were. Food: There is limited options on sight, luckily there are tons of options outside of the resort. COA and Positivo were two available restaurants. View is amazing and food was great! We opted to dine out every night for dinner. The HIGHLIGHT, there is a Golf Course! You already know, we love Golf! Well, I am starting to love it! And they are adding another course! I loved how pretty it was and cannot wait to come back! Now this was a luxurious peaceful vacation. Thanking God everyday for unanswered prayers! Highly recommend betting on yourself..... and coming to this hotel! Talk about a FLEX! When people take advantage of you let them, Gods in control! Redirection is Gods Devine Protection! Yes! Yes! I DO!

The level of service here is truly something else! As soon as we arrived, several Embajadores were already waiting to welcome us and help with our luggage. We were immediately offered cold, refreshing towels, and someone personally guided us to the front desk. It was such a warm welcome and the perfect start to our first stay here. A special shoutout to Thalia, who was the sweetest! She made sure we were comfortable and taken care of while we waited for our room. We were also greeted with a delicious popsicle, which was such a nice touch after arriving in the Puerto Rico heat. Thalia then introduced us to Malenny, who took care of us throughout our entire stay. I believe she was our personal Embajadora, and she was amazing! I was able to stay in contact with her during our entire visit, and she constantly checked in to make sure everything was going well. She accommodated every request we had and was always so kind and helpful. She truly made us feel spoiled! We also had breakfast at COA, where Tiffany took great care of us. She was so friendly and made sure we knew about all the different food and options the restaurant had to offer. Even when it was time to leave, the amazing service continued. Garry helped us with our luggage and even gave us a car freshener before we left! It was such a simple but thoughtful gesture and another example of the attention to detail at this property. I honestly wish I had gotten everyone's names because every single person we encountered made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. For our first experience at Dorado Beach, we couldn't have asked for anything better. We've stayed at other beautiful luxury properties, but I'm honestly not sure if the service we experienced here can be topped. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt completely taken care of. We came expecting a beautiful resort, but the hospitality is what really made this place unforgettable. Dorado Beach spoiled us on our very first stay, and now the bar is set VERY high for every hotel after this! Thank you to the entire team for making our first visit so special. We already can't wait to come back!

We called and he sent out a local taxi for us (was $35, cash only). We arrived and quickly checked in. It went downhill from there. ATM withdrawal for the cash for the taxi? Machine fee was over $7 (like $7.45?!?!)!! Once checked in...the room was so dirty overall. Very patch wiped if anything. Either the air conditioning filter has never been changed or the rooms have never been properly deep cleaned after PETS staying. Started sneezing and eyes painfully itching uncontrollably almost immediately. Carpet was FILTHY as well -- we saw crumbs of random things by the desk and the room. My allergies got so bad I could barely keep my eyes open -- they were so bloodshot and itchy, I was crying and couldn't wait to be able to leave. Sneezing nonstop too. But by then it was past 1:30 AM already -- hotel is on a high isolated hill and no transportation nor lodging options nearby. To get ready for bed and crash so the nightmare could finally pass, I at least wanted to take a shower. Oh man, bathroom was even worse. I didn't dare shower. You can see the dirty tub and toilet in my photos here. We were so exhausted and upset at that point we didn't even take other room photos. No breakfast included on a Holiday Inn - also new to us. We left as soon as our tired bodies allowed us to. Took photos of the view on our way out. Sad, because the pool and area looked beautiful. Hotel had good bones too, but clearly bad management and NOT the IHG standard we are used to. We will never stay here again and will never fly into Ponce Airport again either. We couldn't believe our eyes...

We reserved a table at the balcony right at sunset at 6pm. We arrived and promptly got thru the security and were taken to our table and it was the most gorgeous view ever. We ordered the signature drink, The Pirata, and it was delish, very strong , and came in a coconut. We then wanted to order dinner. But no server or employee of any kind came to our table for over an hour after we got our drinks. We waited and waited and when we decided to give up and go elsewhere then finally a server came. So we decided to order since it was about 7:15 and we figured it would take too long to go somewhere else and order. My bf ordered the lobster mofongo in some kind of soup and I got red snapper in a plantain crust. Then again we waited and waited. I was so hungry I started trying to pick the coconut pieces out of my Pirata drink. Finally at 8:11 our food was served, And we were starved. I was prepared to hate the food haha but it was actually so delicious. So I guess come here if you are not starved and have tons of time. The property is maintained very well and offers a peaceful, laid-back atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. My room was clean and came with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel is right on the beach, and the minimal noise made it easy to relax and enjoy the soothing sound of the ocean waves right from my room. Waking up to that view and sound each morning is an amazing thing. Watching the sunsetting in the evening was perfect. If you're looking for a quiet, clean, and welcoming place to stay in Vieques, Bravo Beach Hotel is a fantastic choice.

When I arrived I was checked in and given a tour of the attractive property by the staff member on duty. My room was spacious and comfortable along with the bathroom that had a shower in it. The ac worked well too. The TV was a smaller screen that I think was less than 32" and was mounted high up on the wall so TV watching could be better. The room had a small refrigerator in it. Shortly after checking in I received a series of text messages from the owner regarding information about Isabel II such as restaurants nearby, grocery stores, taxi info, tour companies, etc, which was helpful. Bravo Beach is well maintained with 2 freshwater pools and less than 20 rooms all with outdoor facing entrances. It is located directly on the water with a beach but swimming is not allowed or desired from the shell beach however the beach is available for walking. The hotel does offer the free use of beach supplies like coolers and folding chairs, etc. if you need them. They do have their own small parking lot and more parking next to the hotel but I'm not sure they have enough parking if all of their rooms are full. The hotel is located about a 6-7 minute walk from the ferry terminal. If I returned to Vieques I would be happy to stay at Bravo Beach Hotel again.

Although he'd reserved a studio, when we arrived, we found we had been upgraded to a one-bedroom unit, as the studio's door was being repaired. Late check in was very easy. The property's deck is large and has a gorgeous view of the beach directly below. You really cannot beat the location of Villa Tropical on Shacks. We enjoyed drinking our coffee on the deck whilst watching the sun rise in the mornings before grabbing our gear and walking down the short flight of steps to the sand. The gift shop within the office is a major time saver, too, when you need a drink or snack but don't want to drive. The Econo supermarket is only about an 8-minute drive away, though, when you do want to do a grocery run. It was awesome having a fully stocked kitchen and being able to cook and eat in most meals. We loved grilling on the deck at sunset! The Ola Lola restaurant is a cute spot a short walk away for food or drinks when one would rather skip cooking, too, and in each room, there is a very thorough guide compiled by the management with information on where to find all kinds of things in the area, from film development to entertainment. It was extremely convenient to be able to do laundry on the premises also. The staff are super helpful and maintain VT very well. Our unit (1B) was clean and comfortable, and by the end of our stay, we had fallen into a nice, homey routine. I was sad to leave and understand why Shacks is a place so many return to every year. The beach is clean, the big waves break far from the shore, there are interesting reefs for snorkeling, many days have adequate wind for kitesurfing, and there is a friendly surfer community among those who stay in the area both longer term and seasonally.

The people here are so accommodating; they have 3 restaurants on the property and they are all equally good. from formal to casual you can't go wrong eating at any of them. i'm a marriott member and had some points that i used for one night and im happy i took advantage of it. unfortunately they are converting the property to a 4 seasons and it will be far more expensive to stay here. The st. regis operates like a luxury hotel should. i would give it 10 stars if i could. i used the spa facilities and the massages we got were first notch. and jesselyn was a great nature guide that took us around the property. we are sad to be leaving.

So here goes!…read more For kids There is an animal shelter with dogs and cats and specialist who will educate you about the animals. There is a small farm with goats to feed. My young kids were delighted with this. There is a boathouse area with free kayaking, standup paddle boarding and inflatable playground. This boathouse also offers more high-tech water sports equipment for rent. For families There are adult bikes and children's bikes on the resort that are complementary. There are golf carts that take you from one area to another as everything is pretty spread out. For example, from the main gate to the hotel is a little less than a mile. Only two free breakfast are included with Marriott status. So if you are traveling with kids, you have to pay $22 plus tip for their breakfast every morning. They have a few sand toys to share out on the beach. The large pool area does have Shallow parts for children. For adults The beach here is gorgeous though setback many yards from the hotel. The pool does not have an adult only area that I know of. There is a nice but small hot tub. You have access to all of the spa amenities every day as a guest here. There is a small gym next to the spa and a larger gym called the wellness center which is about Half a mile from the main area. Food issues The main issue here as many other of viewers have stated is the lack of decent food selection. Sea grapes is decent but only open until 5 PM. Paro gets terrible reviews and is excessively overpriced Mediterranean food. However, an Uber from the hotel to Rio Grande is not expensive around $10 and they are good restaurants, but you must do your own research. I recommend Los kioskos de luquillo Which have many food options and it is basically a beach party scene better for adult adults than kids. Service and butler service overall were spotty. We were given incorrect information multiple times. Don't forget to take a ton of cash to tip-wish they would include this in the final bill. Loved the ocean view, comfy beds, and spacious bathroom. Overall a nice stay and would consider coming back if the food options improved a bit!
