I met Betty over the phone and she was so accommodating. When I arrived at Hacienda Salono the check-in was super easy. I totally enjoyed my stay there for over three years while working on a project in the area. The park is super safe I never had to lock my door, never saw any riffraff inside the park ever. They do a great job keeping the park up and clean. I would highly recommend this park to anybody staying in the Phoenix area. Great location!! Every thing is just around the corner it seems. We bought our park model in November of 2022. We weren't sure if we were quite ready for the snowbird lifestyle because we are still very active in our mountain hometown in New Mexico. As it turns out, we were made to feel so immediately a part of the community by Betty, the manager. She has helped us navigate reputable choices for our home improvements and even our insurance options. I have been a bit surprised that the pool, hot tub and bar-b-q area isn't used more since it's kept up so nicely. Maybe I'll organize my own park event when we return in November! Hacienda Solano is a trailer park that needs to decide whether or not it wants to be a RV resort. Though we found the employees and residents to be overwhelmingly friendly and accommodating, many of this park's RV spots are best described as an obstacle course caused by recent addition of palm trees and white vinyl fences, causing needless access difficulties. A mobile home park with many trailers dating back to the 1970's and 1980's, it looks great aesthetically and is well maintained. It appears to us that an effort has been made to park as many RVs as possible into areas not occupied by mobile homes and park models--our RV spot was only 20 inches wider than our 8-foot wide mini RV. This, coupled with streets cramped by white vinyl fences made it extremely difficult to back into and park. It took both of us and two other experienced RVers over 1-1/2 hours to get our 8 x 22 foot trailer into a space that measured less than 10 feet by 34 feet (see photo). (But we had no choice as most RV parks in the Phoenix area were full.) The site's width was needlessly small, between an 8-inch high concrete patio slab (very hard on aluminum trailer wheels) and a recently planted palm tree. Recently added white vinyl fencing and the palm tree (with LV lighting) coupled with cramped, narrow streets made this RV parking place needlessly hard to use. After we finally got our trailer into the space, we discovered that the sewer connection was under the RV as it was designed for mobile homes! Thankfully, a very accommodating employee crawled under our trailer and connected our sewer, but only after going to get two adapters for the unconventional connection. Later, whenever we dumped sewage, we could not open the gate valve completely, because sewage would come up from a second connection way up under our trailer! This site was so small that we had to park our F-150 pickup truck across the street, fifty feet away. And then, to add insult to injury, we were told to move yet another parking space away the next day because the office had forgotten that the parking space we were in was already assigned to someone else. In spite of listing and advertising stating otherwise, the only wi-fi Internet at this resort exists in the office/swimming pool area--and a very weak one at that. There is no wi-fi whatsoever at the RV sites, an expected necessity nowadays. Their web site also states "Large, Level Big Rig Sites" which are a rare find at this RV park. This is our first review of any RV park, out of hundreds nationwide, that we do not recommend. Reply to business response: It did indeed take 1 hour and 43 minutes to get our 8-foot wide trailer into the space of 9 feet 8 inches (between the raised concrete patio and the palm tree) which was measured by a laser. The time it took is from a DVR recording from our back and side cameras on the trailer, which I would be more than willing to post on YouTube as evidence. (Betty was not there.) Your RVer had considerable difficulty helping us and it took him 34 minutes to help us get the trailer into the space after I spent almost an hour trying to get into the space, which had a total "parkable space" of 9'8" x34 3", again measured by laser. You told us we could park in either parking place across the street, but called the next day to say that you had forgotten that the closer space (which we used) had been promised to someone else. The distance to the parking place is may be 36 feet in a straight line, but with the fence in the way, it is actually 52' 7" after you walk around (again measured by laser). Yes, you did offer a full refund, the next afternoon, 26 hours later, after we spent over an hour and half getting the trailer into the space allotted. Big rigs nowadays are 65 to 75 feet, so the statement that "big rig sites are rare" is indeed an accurate one by today's standards. Internet wifi is a necessity in today's world for most facets of people's lives. Hacienda Solano is only RV resort which did not have wifi at the RV location out of 37 campgrounds in eleven states which we have stayed at in the past year. read more

I am a resident of Hacienda Solano. I've been here over 5 years. I ABSOLUTELY love it here. We are so close to everything. We have an awesome club house and a heated pool and jacuzzi. Our park manager goes above and beyond helping people and she knows how to be a professional. Anyone looking for a nice quiet place to stay whether it be long or short term, THIS IS THE PLACE. Tom, the maintenance man, was so helpful while backing up my motorhome and setting up the sewer hose, which is underneath to keep it out of the sun. Betty was friendly and helpful, letting me arrive on a weekend when the office is closed. I could drop my check in the door slot, easy as pie. What I loved most is the clean heated pool. I swam almost every day and had the pool all to myself 90% of the time. There is some traffic noise but it didn't bother me because the central location is close to good shopping, lots of restaurants and groceries right across the street at Frys. There are books and magazines to read in the clubhouse/library and another building to play billiards. There are nice mobile homes for sale inside the park and cute bunnies running around looking for water bowls and kitchen scraps. You can walk your dog on tar and rock, or drive to the nearby park on Cottonwood for green grass and shade. I liked it, but my cat didn't, she had to stay inside. Best to come from October - March for the best weather. It gets REAL HOT! I felt safe, secure, slept well, and workmen neighbors were friendly and helpful. The sites are narrow but long enough for a big rug and concrete pad back to back. The pool, the shopping, and the location made it all worth it. read more

We went to Hacienda Solano to visit my family and loved this place. Very nice heated pool. They have pool tables which we didn't use but we did play some games in the clubhouse. We look forward to visiting again in the future. read more

Hacienda Solano is a hidden gem. I pulled my RV in for a short stay and ended up loving the park so much I bought a permanent place. The location couldn't be better right between Chandler and Gilbert which are very nice towns. There is most everything you could need within walking distance to a grocery store, restaurants, dentist, nail and hair salons, urgent care, etc. also, I can not say enough about the neighbors. Everyone is so kind and it is truly a community. The owner is constantly making improvements around the park and does a great job of landscaping. There are nice tall Oleanders around the heated pool and hot tub and tall palm trees throughout the park. The laundry rooms have new machines and are well maintained. I'm glad to call this home (when I am not traveling). read more

The site is run down. The bathrooms/showers are dirty. Wifi is spotty and only available in the main 'clubhouse' and patio. Pay a little more (at $40 a night its way over priced!) and stay in a decent park. The pictures on the website are deceiving and must be very old. This place will only disappoint and frustrate you. read more
