The reality is that the slower Wi-Fi is sufficient for most needs, but you get logged out every two hours and have to log back in with a different e-mail address and different MAC address. Non-members are still welcome but to be fair they have instituted some policies to benefit members since members are what generate the revenue that support the place. Non-member hours are now 10 a.m. to 9 p.m, you have to park on the street instead of the parking lot, the Wi-Fi is slower (two hour daily limit, per MAC address, for non-members (and for lite members that have used up their five days)), and you can't host events. A lot of good events are hosted there and are free. Members have priority to sign up. It's not too noisy, but often someone will decide to have a long cell phone conversation in the main room (which you're not supposed to do) and everyone gets to hear one side of the call! They have lockers for rent so you don't have to haul all your stuff back and forth every day. They have a bunch of monitors if you want to hook up your laptop to a monitor, or use something like a NUC.
