This was my first visit to Haddon Culinary in Haddonfield, and it definitely left a great first impression. I only stopped in for a latte, but it was absolutely delicious--rich, smooth, and perfectly crafted. You can tell they take pride in the quality of what they serve. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a nice place to relax for a bit. Even though I didn't try any of the food this time, everything I saw looked fresh and tempting. Based on my experience with the latte alone, I'm already looking forward to coming back to sample more of the menu. A great spot that's well worth a visit! read more

Great local market. You can get a fresh A&A soft pretzel here, so that merits 5 starts from me. Coffee was good. Lots of regulars, which is a good sign. The deli area was well stocked. read more

Worth a visit! Haddon Culinary is a chef-driven market and cafe in Haddonfield, NJ. Last time I was here, they had a BBQ pop-up for First Fridays. I went for brisket (skipped the bread), and a side of their string beans. No regrets: Didn't need a knife for their brisket! Friendly service, credit accepted. Great little store right at the end of Haddonfield near the patio station. Different interesting items such as speciality cheeses, salads, cookies, chips, sandwiches, drinks etc. Staff was friendly and accommodating. We ordered at the counter and our sandwiches were made quickly. They have a few tables inside and outside to sit and enjoy your meal. We sat outside as it was an 80 degree day in October. We shared the sandwiches. The turkey was good offering a lot of meat, bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado with a specialty Mayo. The burger however was amazing. One of the best I have had in a while and of course as all great sandwiches are .... It was very messy but finger licking good. The combination of meat, cheese, pickles, bacon and sauce. I'm almost sorry I had to share it. They have a location in collingswood which will be next on my list of lunch places to try. read more

I wanted a salad for lunch and mentioned it to a friend/coworker. She suggested Haddon Culinary. I had never heard of it. Three of us decided to go there for lunch and eat in. So glad we did! You place you order on a machine and then oat for it. Our salads were made fresh when we ordered. I enjoyed the Taco Tuesday salad and it was wonderful! I am looking forward to going back! read more

Glad they extended their Half Price Soups on Tuesdays to the Haddonfield location. I can just make it inside the doors if I time my PATCO arrival just right. They always have at least four different soups bubbling away, so I stock up as they freeze well and make great options for days when it's cold and you just don't feel like cooking. Now, I'm a generous tipper when I dine out, but I always feel trapped when I basically serve myself at the soup bar (i.e. get the cup, ladle it myself, put the cup lid on, then walk over to the cash register) and I get asked on the screen if I want to tip. Just sayin'. Especially when the guy at the cash register is staring at you. LOL. read more

Got the smoked brisket sandwich from Haddon Culinary tonight. I always love brisket in just about any form, especially bbq and smoked. The slaw and Fishtown Pickle Project pickles on top were a nice refreshing compliment. Nov 3rd is the final "First Friday" from what it looks like. I recommend checking it out and trying something out. I kind of regret not splurging and grabbing one of the Armadillo Eggs as well. read more

The neighborhood bodega where culinary dreams are made of, this little space doubles as a cafe, specialty grocery store, and marketplace with every item selected with a chef's touch. Owned by two culinary school graduates with over a decade of experience tied in with local vendors, there is a solid selection of coffee and pastries for a quick bite as well as beautifully crafted breakfast sandwiches and prepared foods for those pressed for time. Take the Butcher's Favorite for example: Fresh baked buttermilk biscuit (growing up in the South, was impressed by the soft and flaky texture) house-made sausage patty, locally sourced sharp black pepper cheddar cheese and free range egg with golden orange yolk with perfect runny consistency, and rounded out by the unexpected wild card of house made apple butter, a sandwich that avoided the fate of being easily "butchered" but making it into my sandwich pantheon. Considering this is a hop, skip, and jump from a relative's house, I'm excited to try other delectable options on future visits. read more

We stopped in today, just to take a look around, but ended up having lunch. The Italian hoagie called the standard was amazing. It was on a sarcones seeded roll. My one daughter had the kids breakfast and it was huge. She loved it. My wife had a salad that looked delicious. My other daughter had a ham and cheese sandwich that looked really, really good. I will definitely be going back to try some of the other food. The staff were very friendly and it's nice to just walk around the store and look. read more

OH MY FOODNESS. I tried the smoked chicken cheesesteak today... best darn sandwich I have had in a while. Very excited try every thing they offer at the Chef led culinary experience. *New location* The original market is in Collingwood, but this location is just as wonderful. From fresh meats, gourmet cheese, desserts, sandwiches at any time of day, meals, seafood & speciality produce, it is a one shop stop for all kinds of goodies. I can honestly say I love the offerings they have and I have bought anything from a gourmet sandwich, pot pie, cheese dip, bakery desserts and various delicious goods. Staff was fast, friendly & helpful. Today I had a vegan mushroom sandwich on a baguette with carrot, aoli sauce, mushroom pate, cucumber, cilantro & pickled watermelon radish which was tasty. BUT! I normally grab the sandwich called Jamon Beurre: french ham, dijon cornichon butter, cave aged gruyere, crispy lettuce on a baguette. The Jamon is my go-to and it's a comfort lunch for me. In fact, most of the items I buy are comfort foods that are served with exceptional ingredients. There is a small limited parking lot with a few tables outside. read more

So who would think that a birthday party for a 1 year old would have the best food ever? My grandson's party was catered by Haddon Culinary's (Haddonfield) Chris Barnett. Chicken cutlets, sausage and peppers, pulled pork sliders, Mac and cheese, broccoli rabe, antipasto, fruit and vegetables and cheese boards. Everyone continues to tell us how great the food was. Made a quick stop here with nothing special in mind, and was impressed by the number of prepared foods on offer, everything from main courses to sides. I got a couple pieces of smoked bar-b-que chicken, some of their braised short rib meatloaf, and a couple of eggplant cutlets. The chicken breasts were very nicely smoked, thru and thru, and the high quality of the chicken was obvious. Extremely moist and tender. Nice work by the chef all around. The braised short rib meatloaf had a very distinct short rib taste and texture, which was nicely complimented by the mushroom, spices and other ingredients. Delicious, and not something you see very often. The eggplant cutlets were thin and very lightly breaded, and tasted great heated up with some marinara and mozzarella I added myself. In summary, the fare was 100% chef quality, and very appetizing. Not cheap, but not outrageous. I wouldn't hesitate to pick other things up here, and even put together a dinner for guests. And judging by the number of people enjoying their small dining area at 3:00 on a Saturday, I'm not the only one impressed. read more

Great food, rude staff I had a disappointing encounter with the middle aged man w gray hair and black glasses. He seemed flustered that he couldn't find my sandwich and kept asking me what I ordered. I pleasantly repeated my order, after his 3rd time asking I provided my order confirmation code (I figured that may be more helpful) and he put his hand directly in my face and yelled "I understand". It was very aggressive and uncomfortable. I spent $19.18 for one sandwich, which was very good but after that experience I'll take my $20 bucks and eat at one of the other great deli spots in the Haddon area!! read more

I bought a family sized cheese lasagna to feed company who unexpectedly dropped by for dinner and was really disappointed in the quality. It's like 90% noodles. 5% cheese. 5% tomato sauce. I've had some really nice pastries here over the years and everybody's really nice, but their family size cheese lasagna was the worst $20 I've ever spent in my life. read more

I had the opportunity to participate at a friend's home in a prepared Chicken Parmigiana dinner. Where do I start? The Chicken was cooked fine but the breading had no flavor. I asked if it was gluten free bread crumbs because it was so tasteless. The mozzarella was overpowering in the size of the slices and quantity layered in the pan. It didn't help that this cheese didn't melt. Sometimes less is more. The pasta was okay but cooked well beyond al dente. The tomato sauce had that straight from the can tinny flavor. The sauce needed to cook more and required spices beyond some shredded basil. This meal didn't live up to the hype. I will steer clear of the chicken parmigiana but will give Haddon Culinary another shot from a different menu item. read more
