I have been here twice now and have gotten the same Veggie Wrap with chicken both times. The first time I tried the spinach wrap and the second time I tried the honey wheat wrap. I have seen some wraps stay together very nicely and others that fall apart, so there is some consistency that is lacking. However, the veggies in my wrap have always been very fresh and tasty! Both days I have come here I have ordered online, making the pickup process incredibly fast. The interior of the restaurant is small, which is expected for a sandwich shop. There are a couple tables outside on the sidewalk, which are convenient for pleasant days. Having only tried the one wrap, I cannot say too much about the Bread Board Plus, but I have only heard good things about this place and would say it is solid lunch spot if you are in the area! read more

This is easily the best sandwich shop around. I live less than a mile away and I've been coming to the Bread Board since 1996 when I was in high school. I've had just about everything on the menu over the years, but the three things I order the most are: the tuna hoagie, Italian hoagie, and D-Money (breaded chicken with bacon, lettuce, tomato, cheese and mayo). The food is always prepared fresh and quickly by a very friendly staff. I've eaten here hundreds of times over the years, and they've only ever messed up my order once. I had ordered take out a few years ago and was living farther away at the time so I couldn't come back easily, so I called and explained they had made a mistake with my order. They immediately offered a free sandwich on my next visit. They used to be in the space next door with tons of seating and an incredible salad bar. Their new space is much smaller with only a few places to sit at the countertop table along the wall and a few outdoor tables, though I've never seen anyone eating in when I pick up my food, so I assume the majority of their business is through takeout and catering. Like other reviewers have noted, my only complaint, which almost brings this to four stars, is the price of the food. My D-Money last night came to $12.74 after tax. It comes with a tiny bag of chips and a dill pickle (these are free with the sandwich but if you order on the Toast app, you have to specifically include them in your order). I understand prices may have to do with inflation, supply chain issues, and just paying more for higher quality. So I'm still willing to pay and will continue to be a lifelong customer. Overall a solid place. If you're from out of town, skip Wawa and Primo's and give this place a try. read more

I was in the area getting my nails done and decided to stop here for something to eat. I sent my husband in and of course men do not pay attention lol. I asked for a vegetarian chicken sandwich if it was a fried patty or a strawberry spring salad. I end up with the vegetarian chicken sandwich on multigrain AND the strawberry salad. One of my kids wanted fries, my other wanted a parfait. I was starving and forgot to take pictures of that salad and other items. The salad was very fresh and good. The parfait was also good and the fries by god were excellent! I however did not like the vegetarian chicken at all and that's why I took away one star. It needed a bit more seasoning than the brief fry on the grill because it basically tasted like rubbery tofu. I did have mayo, pickle, lettuce and tomato on it which helped me get through eating half of it. I gave the other half to my husband. I will say everything on my sandwich tasted fresh and the pickles are really good. I'll definitely go back and try some of their other options because outside of the vegetarian chicken everything else was really good and the bread and toppings were very fresh. Bread Board's sandwich, oddly named 'D-Money' triggers my own sandwich lunch obsession for a week. Here goes my odd way about this- At the dentist office I was reading a local magazine when I noticed a reference to try out Bread Board Plus. For pretty much 10 years I drove by blindly through Haddon ave and thought "one day" I'll go. FINALLY. Stepping into Bread Board Plus was NOT the cramped up little sandwich shop I expected. I order the D Money: house breaded chicken, American cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato and mayo on a hoagie roll. Local rolls from Del Buono's Bakery--a plus! Free chips if you dine in. Here is where a sandwich obsession starts and my husband starts to think I'm nuts and doesn't even think the D Money is that great. He also thinks the Italian and Chicken cheesesteaks are so-so but with really great bread. Me, though, love this sandwich for its BLT and breaded chicken fusion. It's very simply, a great sandwich at a local small sandwich shop at a higher than normal price. I don't question it, I just go like a zombie and eat my D Money and leave...until this obsession ends or I try something else. Inside, there are 2 and 4 seaters in an open and semi-private room. I have been to breadboard plus about 4 or 5 times, usually for take out but have also had their salad and soup bar pre-covid. I think the sandwiches and salads are really good-- especially the corned beef special and the cobb salad. However I do find it to be just a tad bit too pricey for what you get. The corned beef sandwich was around $10 with no sides and it was a little small. Thankfully it was delicious. I also would suggest the soup and salad bar but I'm not sure they will stay have it post-covid. Anyways, really good place to grab a quick bite although slightly overpriced. read more

This place was great! Friendly customer service as soon as you walk in. The environment was bright and the smell of bread was in the air. We walked in the back foot where the salad bar is. The salad bar was fresh with a variety of salad toppings and fresh bread. We ordered a couple of hoagies. I ordered roast pork sandwich with American cheese. Absolutely delicious. The melted cheese, grilled to perfection pork, and delicious (seemed homemade) bread. I also put their "Russian" sauce on it as well, which I am unsure as to what it is exactly but it was delicious. My wife had a Italian extreme sandwich, which she said was delicious as well. I tried the bread off of hers and again fluffy and warm. This place was great for hoagie, and pork sandwich. Bread Board is off my rotation for the time being. I used to LOVE coming here -- as evidenced by my last two reviews. I'd chat with Jason and his friendly team when picking up my to-go order. Generally always the same thing: A half-size chicken salad hoagie with bacon, lettuce and provolone cheese. But why continue to spend the exorbitant price [for the admittedly very well-made and delicious hoagie] when they apparently don't want my business? I've had a few bad service experiences in a row, culminating with audibly asking "Am I invisible??" while standing at the pick-up counter on Sunday evening. I understand work crises, but if you're unable to assist a customer who's been standing there staring you down when there's not a single other patron in sight, maybe just say, "Sorry, we'll be right with you." But hey, I'm glad to know the ins and outs of your scheduling issues now. A big thanks to the girl who happened to walk by while cleaning, noticed me, and apologetically rang me up while the two guys continued their chat. Again - not your fault! If the service here would just shape up and return to the inviting local shop that it once was, I'd go back. It's such an important part of the experience! I did email the team right after the incident to relay my concerns about their service directly, but have yet to receive a response. I love a good salad bar and was pretty excited to try BBP's today. The salad bar here is really next level. For $11, you get a drink, unlimited soup, bread, and everything the salad bar itself has to offer. It was a 90 degree day, so I did not try any soup, but it appears they alternate the soup options daily and I plan to go back to check it out when it is a bit cooler. As for the salad, there are all of the usuals with plenty of options for your base including kale, arugula, and spinach. Everything was fresh and I observed an employee freshening up the salad bar to ensure everything was neat and in order. There are also plenty of other fun options like an italian pasta salad, macaroni salad ad a broccoli slaw that really up the ante (and make the $11 price tag worth it!) The restaurant itself is roomy with ample seating. The employees were relaxed, but prompt. I enjoyed dining here and will be back. read more

Stopped by for breakfast on the weekend, seeing that it was less than a 5 minute walk from my front door. I chose a simple breakfast sandwich while my dining partner chose a mostly vegetarian omelette. It came with tater tots! I love tater tots. I stole tater tots off her plate when she wasn't looking (it's OK, it was my treat after a rather rough 24 hours). My bagel sandwich was toasted perfectly and hit the spot. The Italian was delicious, try the hot pepper spread it totally enhances the sub, but they put a lot on and it was HOT! The chicken salad was the tiniest bit dry, but still delicious. Pretty good soup. Interesting looking sandwiches. I tried the corn chowder and the chicken dumpling. The corn chowder was good, but not as good as Wawa's (Don't hate me, I don't understand how Wawa's chicken corn chowder is so good... I don't get it). I could have used a bit more spice in the chowder. I liked the chicken dumpling a bit more. Better flavor, thick cream based soup. So far I like this place better than Simply Soups, which is nearby in Audubon. EDIT: I have tried the vegetarian lentil soup and the pastrami sandwich special. Both were okay. The pastrami sandwich was a little disappointing, but I might be trying to scratch an itch that only The Kibitz Room can scratch (in South Jersey). The vegetarian lentil was pretty good, about the same quality as I remember from the other soups, pretty good, but could some spice or something. This place is legitimately "as good as it gets!" The BF and I are always on the hunt for a good salad bar and I think the search is over. When we first walked in I looked at the board and the $10.95 special on a salad bar (and a soda) seemed pretty steep. One look at the salad bar itself, I was fully on board. Salad bar has more than enough options for fixin's and dressings to keep any number of people happy. Everything is super fresh and the folks stocking the goodies are fully on top of it. On top of your cold salad options there are a variety of soups that are included. Or, if you're lucky like I was on my first visit, 2 soups and 2 entrees (baked ziti and mac and cheese)... just help yourself! This salad bar is legit and completely worth the $11. My family and I stopped by Bread Board Plus on a Sunday afternoon. They have a huge selection of food- from salads to sandwiches. We were really hungry since we haven't eaten all day so we ordered the cheesesteak, the salad and one sandwich. Honestly everything tasted super fresh. They definitely have high quality ingredients. Not only that but they cook their food with quality. I especially will applaud the Caesar salad because I personally like my greens to taste crunchy and that's exactly what I got (it's hard to find that type of salad).
