After years of hearing about this place, my first visit did not disappoint. Their Italian hoagie was prepared exactly as I requested. Good meat to veggie ratio, bread was not soft. I was in the area and decided to finally stop into Shamrock after years of passing it by. While I chose a basic hoagie, there is a very large menu of hoagies, sandwiches, and hot sandwiches to choose from. This business is an actual deli, which seems to be dying off each decade, leaving what's in the supermarkets t the only options. Shamrock provides so much, that I'd say that breakfast and lunch or breakfast and dinner can easily be ordered from there on days that you just don't feel like cooking. read more

Got the Greek Salad very nice portion and they actually followed my requests of placing the onions on the side . Only due to the fact that my husband wanted some and doesn't care for the onions but i sure do. The Rabe was full of garlic very nice. Looking forward to ordering again. read more

Ordered food for party. Had the chicken piccata, baked penne pasta, roasted beef (rolls) and salads, hoagie tray. They could not be more accommodating to me. Food was great. Happy to report a great family deli. In their cold fridges, they have some to go things you can easily pick up for a quick dinner, like soups and meatballs and different kinds of pasta dishes. I ended up choosing the Old World Italian - honestly, I didn't love it, but that's my fault because I didn't take the time to read the ingredients. I didn't love the really sharp provolone. But I loved the bread and other ingredients, so next time I will choose differently. read more

Pigged out on some wings and a hoagie for the Eagles game. I'll give the rundown on the good, the bad, and the ugly. The good: the spicy italian hoagie. Nicely cut salami, pepper ham, hot cappicola, veg amd sharp prov. Bread was nice, soft, and chewy. I personally would had liked a tiny bit more veg but that's just a personal choice. Well constructed hoagie. We and my in laws have gotten salads from their over the years and they all have been good. Nice selection of deli prepared foods. Really nice employees too. The bad: Just be aware the prices on their webpage are not updated, make sure to ask for updated pricing. The ugly: the wings I ordered were buffalo hot. I appreciate they cut a corner of the box to make sure the steam didn't trap making the wings soggy. The wing sauce pretty much absorbed into the batter making them soggy anyway, and then you really didnt taste the buffalo wing sauce. I stuck them in the air fryer to make them crispy again and coated with sauce I had in the house already. The wings are the perfect size, but if you order wings, I'd recommend maybe sauce on the side to perserve crispness. The blue cheese sauce that came with them was very good! Despite the disappointment with the wings, this is still a good deli store and I'd be open to trying other items on the menu. read more

I found this deli when I was in Staples faxing and copying some papers, and the owner was copying menus for his restaurant and I said to him out loud, Sir your menus look nice and the photos of the food look good as well. He said thank you, invited me to visited and informed me to tell his son and daughter his name because they work there as well and they will make sure I'm taking care of. What a hidden gift, beautiful and delicious sandwich shop, I love the fact that it's a family restaurant with husband and wife working side by side with there children and relatives. I live a hour half away and will take a drive to have a delicious sandwich or steak from this shop. My first visit I ordered a turkey and cheese hoagie and chicken cheesesteak. The turkey was so fresh and delicious taste is a A grade turkey breast. The chicken cheesesteak , I have to amid, and I didn't get a chance to eat it. Because I gave it to my sister, I did ask her how she like it, and her response was it was good. My last thought is I will recommend anyone to visit this restaurant, its welcoming and the food is delicious, also I found out today there is a location inside this establishment you can seat in to eat as well. read more

Great little neighborhood deli... I'm happy I live just down the street! I'm new to the neighborhood and love that there's this place close to me. Prices are great and food is great! They've got great sandwiches.. hot and cold (hoagies galore!), burgers, pot pies, Stromboli's, salads, and different soups that change daily. I keep ordering their cheesesteaks and have never gone wrong! So i highly recommend that! Their menu has tons of options... and I've also heard their potato salad is really good. They cater for parties.. which we are planning on getting our order in for the upcoming Super Bowl because their wings were pretty good. If you order the fries.. the order is large enough to feed 2-3 people! They do have the option to deliver or just call ahead and they'll have your order ready for pickup. I personally like stopping into the deli so I can peek at the other items like desserts!! Yum! Cookies, cake, pies, brownies etc. You can't go wrong with any of those. this little corner deli is something special. someone referred me to getting a sandwich here and upon their referral, I tried. The employees here are very pleasant and welcoming. I am not sure if this is a family owned type of business but it sure does feel that way. everyone is pleasant, you are greeted and welcomed when you walk in. it is very clean and nice looking inside. Not like other deli's I tell ya. I ordered a tuna hoagie with everything that a hoagie would have. not everyone can make a good tuna hoagie. however, the tuna here is amazing. this is one hoagie that you can eat all the way through without any complaints. I'd driven past Shamrock Deli so many times over the years, telling myself I'd go & visit one day--thankfully, the spirit came upon me just the other day, so I made my first sojourn. I was pleased to find a decidedly clean & chic atmosphere, cool greys that rested easy on the eye. Upon approach a friendly employee from behind the counter greeted me & asked what I was looking for; professing it was my first time, he more than graciously gave me a rundown of their local process, their menu hallmarks, and assured the freshness of their selections (only the desserts aren't made in-house, and quite frankly, that's ok--I'd rather come here for something savory any day). I was recommended the potato salad, but elected instead for a half pound of their harvest salad (essentially a Waldorf) and an American hoagie. Both were made & served in record time, neatly presented with a bag provided (no upcharge! blessed), and the employee was kind enough to slip in a half-pound of the potato salad for free, for me to taste. When I tell you that I don't understand why anyone would bother with Wawa when food this fresh, tasty, and made with love is being offered, I mean it. A potato salad can be a crapshoot from a new restaurant--some make it watery, or unpalatable without drowning it in pepper. But no such paltriness here. Same with the harvest salad and the hoagie; the harvest salad particularly was bursting with local flavor, the cranberries & sliced grapes & cashews mingling perfectly with their special blend of chicken salad. The hoagie was Goldilocks-sized, loaded to the just-right proportions of vegetable toppings to meats and cheese. So please, do yourself a favor. Increasing the rating from a 4 to a 5. I've been a regular at Shamrock for just three months now, but I do try to order something different every time. I've very much enjoyed ALL the deli's offerings, particularly their dinner specials. No two meals are exactly the same, but they always bring a ton of flavor and the desired amount of freshness. I'm completely satisfied every time with the meals they prepare. Their prices are also absolutely reasonable for the platter and you can eat there without breaking your budget. I've been passing this place daily for over a year and figured it was time to stop in. The name of the place lead me in the direction that there was something Irish about the food, but it's a standard Italian and American deli. Large menu, many sandwiches, salads, side dishes, wings, breakfasts, burgers, Stromboli, etc - just about anything you could want. I decided on the "Shamrock Special" (roast beef and cheese) and a corned beef and Swiss hoagie. Not too long of a wait for the sandwiches while I looked around the place. After I eyeballed the HUGE Strombolis I was wishing I ordered one. The last time I ordered Stromboli (from another place) although tasty, it looked more like a flattened calzone or something than a Stromboli. Shamrock's Strombolis look what I expect then to appear, with the "jelly roll" look. The sandwiches were huge, and tasty. Service was efficient. A little friendlier would be nice, but everything was correct and it's all about the food really. Will return to try cheesesteaks and the Stromboli. read more

I haven't been back here in a few years as the last time I purchased the cheesesteak strombolis the were 95% bread and the rest the meat/cheese. As it's under new'ish owners I thought I'd try again. I no longer live in Jersey, so when I head back I grab stuff to bring to our new state of KY and to those others who have transplanted. They were hefty and fantastic! Was really happy. I was able to order 6 of them to pick up in just a couple hours of placing order. My only complaint was the price; it has doubled in just a few years. $17/one. That is a bit much. Otherwise they were fantastic. When I get back again I will try some of the other ones. Would like to thank Shamrock for taking care of the dismal ones they were serving before; no way I was the only one to complain. They are worth the try. Enjoy! read more

This is such a little treasure of a deli!! We've already loved their hoagies, but recently we ordered some roast beef, gravy and rolls to make our own hot roast beef sandwiches. It was the best roast beef I've had in years, tender and tasty! We also tried some of their potato salads and macaroni salad and again, delicious. All had the homemade flavor i love but i didn't have to do the work. Our guests loved it too. Consistency is so important and they are always spot on. Stop by today on a rainy day... Called in my order, was told it would take 20 minutes for 2 sandwiches and fries, very reasonable. Had a nice little parking lot, with room for about 8 cars. This place looked very nice and clean, they close at 7, more of a take out joint. I got the township, which was around $8.50, it was a little extra because it comes with avocado but I'm worth it. Unfortunately, the avocado was very green, it was like finding out the ugly girl you made out with when you were drunk was your cousin. My gf ordered a chicken salad club sandwich, which had tons of large crispy bacon and was super delicious, around $7.90. We also split a order of fries around $3.50, very large and good, can definitely feed 3 people. Will definitely come back, I guess my green avocado was the luck of the Irish. read more

Holy crap! This place makes a good sandwich. Granted, I try not to eat hoagies etc., too often (I'm getting a little too old for that:)). But, when I have a craving for an Italian Hoagie, Shamrock is my go to place. I had a cheese-steak there for the first time recently. It was delicious! Many of the local sandwich shops sort of skimp on the meat. Not Shamrock. They really pack the meat in and serve the cheese-steak on the softest rolls. So good... They also have really high quality deli meats. The new owners have made some really great changes to this place.
