Used to race here years ago, great track with great admission price, they give seniors and veterans a nice discount, Lincoln Speedway doesn't give any discounts which as a veteran kind of offends me. The absolute worst venue I have ever been to. Poor crowd flow and ancient wooden benches (we all know how great wood lasts after 20+ years in the elements! ). And heavens, the railing on the very back, top bench. Well, you remember what happened to Flanders's wife. But what makes it the worst place in the world was leaving. After a two-hour show that ended at 10PM, it took us longer to GTFO. TWO AND A HALF HOURS. We watched the traffic from the bleachers and damn, it took forever for each car to turn out to 40. There were at least 4 lines of cars merging into one to get out. You can imagine how many people used their 4WD to go around and cut in line. Eventually, people got into two lines: one to go right and one to go left. Half an hour into it, boom, we see the accident. Someone got T-boned making a left turn. It was weird how long it took for emergency personnel to show up, that we figured it must be a fender bender, so get your car out of the road! Nope. 10 minutes later, everything stops as the ambulance at the arena decides it should help. Then other agencies show up and you realize it's a lot worse than you thought. Traffic was stopped for 45 minutes. It cleared, and my kids are running up and down the length in front of the bleachers in races the adults organized to keep the kids entertained. Other people's kids were running all over the bleachers, unattended. 11:15ish, I've started watching TV on my phone. I already had the show downloaded; there was no way you could watch anything over the network with as weak as the signal was, plus thousands of other people using their phones. I looked back at the parking lot every so often and saw no changes. 11:30, security comes by and kicks everyone out. Which sucked because it was pretty obvious we'd be sitting in a car for at least half an hour in addition to the hour and a half commute home. I don't fault the venue for wanting to close up shop; just unlucky for us. We stayed in the truck for an hour watching the four lines slowly inch along. One guy started up his car and tried to cut in line. A lady yelled, "WE'VE BEEN SITTING HERE FOR TWO HOURS! YOU JUST STARTED YOUR CAR." He tried to deny it and ended up cutting in front of the car behind her. The kids had fallen asleep, luckily old enough not to have accidents. Well, it helps we didn't buy any concessions. When we heard $18 for a snocone... 12:15, the venue turned off the lights in the parking lot, despite the hundred people still regretting life choices, sitting in a dusty parking after midnight in Hagerstown. 12:25, we turned on the truck and got in line at the end of one of the now shorter lines. 12:28: Freedom We came here to see the Monster Jam and that wasn't great for its own reasons, but I will never ever come here again for anything as God is my witness. But I'll be more than happy to suggest this place to the worst of my enemies (ya know, if I was a time-traveling ninja that constantly fought the worst of the worst attempting to enslave humanity, or had any enemies). Maybe they fall through a rickety 25-foot high wooden bench or simply lean back and fall through. Maybe they'd get hit by a 4WD that recklessly skirted the one line to get out, get t-boned making a left turn, or just die of boredom. Then, and only then, would Hagerstown Speedway have served a meaningful purpose on this Earth. read more

The event I attended rained out so my review will be limited. The last time I was here was as a teenager 35 some years ago. The admission price was reasonable or at least would have been reasonable if the event actually occurred. Concessions were just what you would expect. Fair price fair quality. I mean you are there for the races not a dining experience. The place was clean and well kept. Seemed okay for families if your kids have never seen public drunkenness you may want to prep them for that. Not that it was a problem but it was there. Seating is fine if you bring a cushion or bleacher seat. The lower seats have poor sightlines but higher up you can see everything great. As mentioned getting out sucks. A couple of cops at the top of the intersection and some flag wavers in the lot would make a huge difference. I would go back, weather permitting of course. read more

Great racing, beer is pretty cheap, good concessions and facilities (bathrooms), you can come about 2 hours before racetime and buy your tickets and set off your seats which is nice. Good parking too and camp spots. read more

The absolute worst. The stands are a death trap waiting to happen ... boards are buckled, weathered and splintering. Then the parking lot is a nightmare. They just park cars wherever they feel like it and it is a free for all when you try to leave. No lanes of traffic, just cars everywhere. We left 20 minutes before Monster Jam let out and an hour later we have moved 20 feet. We will never be back ... make the drive to PPL center to see Monster Jam ... the show is so much better there too - you can actually see everything. read more

If your not a dirt track racing fan then this isn't for you. Kids under 11 are free the racing is great and its not to far from home so its something fun and affordable for everyone. The promoters do a great job of running great events and every crowd that has shown up has been great at keeping it respectful for the kids unlike a Sprint Cup Crowd that I came across at Dover one Sunday afternoon. read more

Cool place to see the monster trucks. Went on a Saturday night for the monster jam. All the big names where there. It was $10 for kids and$20 for adults. It is grand stand seating, not stadium style. Plenty of good food, drinks, and people. We arrived 30mins before the start and there were no seats available. It was general admission. Get there early it's worth it. Had to sit in front row. There was people walking by the whole time. Hard to see at times. Reason for four stars. Otherwise we would have gave it 5 stars. Would definitely go back read more

Costumer service is awful. They make you feel as if you are a nuisance to them. I ordered tickets over the phone because their website kept telling me it wasn't certified (to which the owner later told me was my browser). They gave me the wrong tickets and charged me too much. When I tried to exchange the tickets for the ones I actually bought and asked to be charged accordingly they looked at me like I was lying and kept asking if I bought them through ticketmaster or Hagerstown Speedway. After telling them 3 times I bought them through Hagerstown Speedway they once again looked at me as if I was lying. A couple days later I called and spoke with the owner telling her what happened. Her response "what do you want us to do about it?" She acted as if to even give me $20 back it would come directly out of her pocket as if the speedway did not make any money off of the event. She pushed it all on the company that the event was through. So wait, you brought an event to your track and didn't make any money off of it...right. The receipt even said "Hagerstown Speedway." You lost a costumer over $20. read more
