When they see their "dog bag" packed up they can't wait to get into the car. They come home tired and happy. They love it there. The facility is located on seven private acres far away from any busy streets. There are several large fenced in areas where they can play with their dog friends. There are no kennels inside but rather comfortable chairs and dog beds where all the dogs can relax. Like being home. Most important for me is how the staff treats my dogs as if they are their own. Very caring. Robin, the owner is so knowledgeable about dogs. She has helped me with my own dog's behavior. I trust her totally. Everyone at Meadowsweet communicates very well. I always know what's going on and feel my dogs are safe at Meadowsweet. You will not find a better place than Meadowsweet for your dogs.

We would pick her up and she was a "hyper-fit" but soon settled back into our home routine after reassurance, a shower and much brushing. We picked her up yesterday and she was so glad. She was glad to be home as always but way more comfortable with being gone. He was on all 4 legs when I took him in. The pressure from the big dogs or the jumping around badly hurt his leg and now he is on 3 legs. I think I have to start all over again and get him to the surgeon he saw this spring. I cannot put my finger on it, but I suspect the staff has not had training or they lack questioning skills when a new dog is presented. Like a doc's office: is the dog on any medication? has the dog had surgery recently? is the dog allergic to cleaning solutions? Just basic inquiries might have helped determine the small dog should not go with the big dogs.

No business is perfect and of course won't please everyone all the time -- but this business really deserves 5 stars.

We were able to make all the arrangements online. The day I dropped him off we were greeted by a staff member named Joy. She is aptly named. She was a delightful woman, showing me the facility, and where my dog would be staying. She showed me where the cameras are so that the owner can look in the evening before she goes to bed to make sure all the dogs are OK. Each dog has his individual space where he spends the night. There is a group inside play area as well as several different fenced in areas outside where dogs can play separately or together. There is a man who lives on the property who is also available in case of emergency and works part time at the facility. When I came to pick my dog up the next day, he was happy and healthy! They said there were no issues, and we were all very happy with the experience.

Our dog stayed at her house for a week and had the time of his life in her 1 acre fenced in back yard. It is a dream place for dogs! Lisa was extremely easy to communicate with, super flexible with our last minute plans, and at $50/night, I found her rates to be reasonable. She clearly loves pets, yet isn't one of these dopey pet people who just gets googley eyed over your furry friend. Instead, she is great with pets and people, super responsible, and really cares about what she is doing. She made our dog feel like a part of her home. She texted us pictures of him on walks and at a family picnic at a lake. She could have easily left him at home but intead included him in her plans, which was great. I'm not someone who would even think to ask or want pictures of our dog while we are away, but we eneded up loving them because we could clearly see he was so happy.
